This is a winner. My better half can't do gluten and just about every dish here had a GF option. The proprietor serves you directly and checks in. Only issue is noise when it is busy.

First, if I'm paying over $12 dollars for a damned biscuit, it SHOULD be the best damned biscuit in the world. It fell fat short! Dry and tough. The egg was browned completely, massive turn off. Very much, so, not at all impressed. No worries though. I just won't go back.

Nice menu with many healthy options. You must go to the counter to order, though

Unfortunately this doesn’t live up as Elmo’s Diner replacement standards. First off, I highly agree with the living wage concept. However I have a few issues with the execution…

1) One of the male staff members was super rude- I assume bc he doesn’t have to rely on tips. My husband asked for a suggestion between to items and he said “It’s your belly”.

2) The instructions to self serve your own drinks is not clear. No signs annotating this.

3) We were visiting from out of town and after we had eaten our food it was not bussed once we were done eating/ as we chatted, which was nauseating.

4) The food was not that great. I got the Juevos Racheros and didn’t even want to finish them.

Please, do better.

We had a very large group come in to Grata Diner. Our waiter was very kind and thoughtful, and went above and beyond with making sure I enjoyed my meal. Would highly recommend!

Came to Grata with a large group today and my experience was a good one. Ordered the turkey Reuben with side salad. Portion sizes were generous with the salad being delivered first and then the sandwich; sandwich was hot and this Reuben had pickles in addition to traditional Reuben ingredients. My impression - food was good and service was too. Plus when I asked about tipping the Grata cashier said they receive a living wage and that tips were not expected! WOW, this was a new experience in dining and tips! I will definitely be back.

Although this place has great food and service is also great, the food is subpar for the high prices. It looks like a diner inside. The atmosphere is subpar also for the high prices doesn’t make sense to me. But this may not be everyone’s opinion.

Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly in my opinion.

Food was good. The staff was very cold, unhelpful and would not respond to questions about the ordering model. Will not return

Not sure how this place has 4 stars. The food is awful and the prices are outrageous. Staff were nice. Waffle House is way much better and half the price.

Really mediocre. We waited almost 50 minutes for food that tasted like it came from a hospital cafeteria. Eggs were not even cooked correctly, waffle was barely cooked. Very overpriced for very mediocre food and slow service. Elmos was 100x better.
