“The cozy atmosphere lead us into delicious and thoughtful libations. The food was amazing and prepared with intention. Stevie was a delight. He was knowledgable, personable and had perfect timing throughout our stay. This is our new go to restaurant.”
“Stepped out for my bday and the owner was awesome! His wife was bartending and recommended us some great drinks! The husband came out and introduced himself, he was great! He ended up getting us a round of shots. This place is great!”
“Love this place. Girl yelling orders is annoying but funny at the same. Would of gave the food 5star , but I only tried the tacos, which were the bomb. Btw the staff is awesome. Viva la raza ??Vegetarian options: I don't think theres any thing vegan.”
“First time dining here and it was an excellent experience. Out the gate, happy to see a 99.5 score. It look like it might have been recently renovated with beautiful tiles and unique finishes to the wall.We were greeted and seated right away, midday. Our waitress took our order and brought out chips and drinks next. (Thank you for not making the salsa spicy. It was mild with good flavor and we each got a bowl for dipping). The food came out maybe 10-15 minutes later, hot and fresh!I tried the Monterey Sampler: beef taquitos, chicken quesadilla and bbq wings. The taquitos used a tender shredded beef brisket with green peppers. The quesadilla was stuffed with tender slices of seasoned chicken and had a light layer of cheese. The wings were fried perfectly and had a thick tangy bbq sauce. Even the celery sticks were crisp and fresh to dip in tasty ranch dressing.Throughout our meal we were checked on for assistance and to ensure satisfaction.I honestly wished I could’ve left a big tip but was low on cash. State employee so I hope my review brings them plenty of new customers.Wheelchair accessibility: There were tables and low curb/ ramp near entrance with open lobby area.”
“This is a nice place to relax for a cup of coffee. Didn't eat there but I was surprised by the many menu options. We went on a Sunday afternoon noon and it was pretty crowded inside but plenty of seating outside. They had a live bluegrass jam going on outside.”
“My fiancé is from just outside NYC, and he deemed the grandma pizza "one of the best slices I've ever had." We shared a few slices of the grandma pizza, margarita pizza, and pepperoni and garlic knots. I grew up in the south and have been a skeptic of these types of pizzas after being urged to try them at his request whenever we're in NY/NJ. However, even I am dreaming about going back to Pizza Factory! Everything was incredible. The dough was light and crispy for the pizzas and not soggy at all, and the knots were so deliciously chewy. The flavors were perfect, with fantastic acidity and sweetness from what has to be homemade marinara, rich but not greasy cheese, and tons of fresh garlicky goodness. We already decided that even if we move away from Chapel Hill/Carrboro that we would happily drive an hour to get our pizza fix from here.”
“From the early days of just the truck, Napoli has been a blessing to find in Chapel Hill. I think the best word to describe their food is "elegant". Gotta have pizza fresh out of the oven to really have it shine but it's great a day later too. Soft and delicious crust, incredible topping pairings, and amazing quality at the price they charge.”
“Service was great. Burritos were huge. Flavor left something to be desired. My friends got chorizo and it was a little lackluster and mushy. Outdoor seating is very nice. Drinks are reasonably priced. They put a mix of flour and corn tortilla chips in the nachos and chips with salsa. Flour tortillas had an interesting texture - very crispy and flakey.”
“Seeing Rise come to Carrboro was exciting. Their food is top notch, all of it. I have to vote Sunrise as the best in town for chicken biscuits though. Rise is a close second and awesome. They went to a self order screen system a while back and I am not a fan. The staff has always been really fantastic, but I really wish one of them was how I interacted instead of with a screen. On my last visit, my son and I were first in the door (and only ones) in the morning. It took over 25 minutes to get our food. If it weren't for the friendly staff I would have asked for my money back out of principal. Longer open hours would be great too. I trust my latest experience was an anomaly.”
“Some of the best pizza in Carrboro! Amazing atmosphere and service, exceptional food. Pizza was delicious!Seating is a bit limited so keep that into account when you plan your dinner. And remember to ask for their daily specials!”
“Dear sweet baby llamas yall....this place is so good! I discovered this place while picking up a delivery order and fell in love. I've been a few times to get drinks and just chat it up with the staff while on break. But tonight I had the Assorted Arepas, polenta cakes with pork, chicken, jackfruit, and brisket. Absolutely amazing. I also got a mocktail cuz I was still technically "on the job", a ginger ale concoction that was wonderful. The restaurant has the feel of being part of the neighborhood for years, but from what I gather of my new friends at Luna, it's only been around since 2020. Needless to say, being new to the area it's nice to make new friends and find a new place to be wined and dined. Definitely will be back soon for food, drinks, and new friendships!”
“Finally got the chance to dine in during peak hours and was very impressed with the experience! Most folks probably don’t think twice about the miso soup that comes out as the appetizer, but for me, it’s so rare to find a place that actually makes it correctly and flavorful—they nailed it and my picky kindergartener slurped up every drop with approval. ❤️ Also of note, I’ve found most sushi places don’t put enough vinegar/sugar into the sushi rice to get that authentic flavor. They nailed it again. It was like my mother was in the kitchen cooking food for me and my family. ❤️ They were incredibly busy, understandably so, but every single one of the staff we interacted with (from wait staff to sushi chefs) was attentive, pleasant and kind—which is also rare to find in general, but especially for such a fast paced environment. Thanks to the management and all of the staff who made our experience so enjoyable. Can’t wait to go back for seconds. ❤️”
“We love Glasshalfull. We’ve been several times and the quality of the food is always top notch. The brussel sprouts are the best in the triangle! Staff is so friendly. I love the business practices of this place, you can tell they take pride not only in the food they serve but in the people they hire. Great date night spot!”
“I ordered takeout through DoorDash and this is the only good pad Thai I have found in the state of North Carolina. Fantastic food. Definitely a new favorite spot.”
“This was my second time to La Montaña and both times I've had a Great experience. For this experience, I called ahead and spoke to one of the hostesses to see if they could make their Diablo dish non-spicy since I wanted to bring my best friend for her birthday and knew she would love it, but she doesn't eat spicy food. When I called, the hostess was So Sweet. She took down my number, called the owner / chef to see if they could do it for us, called me back with a "Yes" AND made a note about it in our reservation. So A+++ to her and the chef for their kindness, flexibility and wonderful customer care. When we arrived, all the staff were welcoming and helpful. Then came our Curry Shrimp dishes; The Diablo (the normal spicy version) and The Angel (as our funny and very attentive waiter Colby (?) referred to the non-spicy version as). We were both in heaven. This is really the most delicious and flavorful curry sauce we've ever had. It's served with rice and this thick, delicious sourdough bread, and dipping the rice or the bread in the sauce are both different and equally delicious experiences. We both enjoyed a glass of the Cabernet, which was perfect. Lastly, we liked the feel and lighting of the restaurant and were especially touched by the story on the back of the menu about the restaurant's inception. Thank you La Montaña! We will be back!”
