“Breakaway is a much better place for breakfast than for lunch. For lunch today we had 3 sandwiches (2 chicken pesto and one turkey BLT), one large chocolate chip cookie and three (tap) waters. Total with tip: $64! The two chicken pesto sandwiches were meager in size (skimpy filling) and dry, requiring extra mayo. The turkey BLT was generous in size, tasty, but very difficult to eat. The chocolate chip cookie was excellent. We have come here many times for breakfast (especially for their delicious and huge breakfast burrito), but left disappointed at lunch over the high cost and unremarkable sandwiches.“

“My husband and I absolutely love Aidan's Pizza! We love that it is a small family business with great prices, excellent customer service, and high quality food. We have ordered many times and are always thoroughly satisfied with our meal. The Cheese Steak is delicious: perfectly cooked meat, toasty bread, cheesy, and well seasoned! We have tried the cheese sticks (the small is very generous!), the Kickin Tarheel Pizza, the Sweet Carolina Pizza, the Greek Goddess pizza (pictured), and the Caprese pizza. The pizzas are always fresh with generous toppings and delicious crust. Give Aidan's a try - you're missing out otherwise!“

“We brought my sister for her birthday as she loves afternoon tea. We've been to many afternoon tea places both here and in the UK and have been largely disappointed with the quality in the US. However, this place was different. It was the closest we've come to having an authentic afternoon tea in the US. We loved every item. My sister said the only thing lacking was a charming tea set. The tea settings were a little plain. But that's just preference. The staff were kind and even brought out a little piece of chocolate cake with a happy birthday sign on it. The noise level was low so we had no problem hearing each other. Overall, lovely.“

“Are outside along sidewalk because we had a dog. Restaurant is dog friendly and offered a dog bowl of water. Erica, waitress, very personable. Blackened Fish tacos delicious with crunchy blue corn taco inside softer flour taco shell. Not too spicy. Oatmeal porter was great. Loved the sweet potato fries but there was a $1 up charge for those not mentioned when offered. Would go back.“

“Updating my review from some years ago! My seniors group visited The Refectory today. I made a reservation and when we arrived, our tables were ready and waiting, well marked and with bright tablecloths. The staff did an amazing job of coordinating their service; dishes were quickly prepared in the kitchen and brought to our table in short order. Everyone including servers and cashiers kept things running smoothly, making sure all our needs were met. We dine out as a group once a month and The Refectory may have been our best outing yet! Highly recommend! Oh- everyone was pleased with their selections and my own shrimp sandwich was especially tasty!

“I have to eat gluten free, and Town Hall on Falls of the Neuse never disappoints. I love that they have a dedicated fryer for fries, chips or tots. Their burgers are top notch and the tuna steak sandwich has a very generous serving of tuna. This place is on our regular rotations. Five stars!“

The ribs and brisket were VERY dry. The brisket was so hard, that it almost had the texture of jerky. I was so disappointed 😞.“

That matters! Think about the last time the tap line was cleaned at your current choice of bar or restaurant. Tap lines are nasty if not maintained. On any given day at TCP you will see them cleaning the line when they change a keg. If you have not seen this at your current top choice you may want to think about what's in your glass.
