We went in the middle of the week, celebrating a 50th birthday party. We were a small group. We had the delight of having Mitch as our server, he was incredibly patient with those with allergies and anxiety.
Thank you for that Mitch. It was a moment that everyone at the table was grateful for. We later went back in the week to get the Brilliant Cheeseburgers to go. 100 stars.

I come here every time I come into town for work. Specifically for that fish dish...every. time. Ive come for work events and brought loved ones, everyone is always impressed with the drinks, service and food. Please i need the coconut lemon broth recipe...pleeease! It has such a hold on me, truly delicious.
We love to sit at the bar with Ant as our bartender. His service is impeccable; you would think he owns the place. He remembers you (and your favorite drink) and cares so much to make your visit completely outstanding! Pair that service with the exquisite cuisine and it’s really an absolute treat to dine at Hawthorne and Wood.

The food has received high praise, and portions are solid, making it a good choice for those looking to indulge. The scallops were soooo good, the best scallops ever had. The steak was also very delicious and perfectly cooked. Cocktails were superb! The chilled corn soup was also really enjoyed. The focaccia with smoked trout and little pickles was great. The chef’s tasting menu was a masterclass in flavor and presentation. The banana dessert was both comforting and inventive. Service was excellent and attentive without being intrusive.
