“Wonderful food and friendly staff!“

“Super delicious dinner with wine pairing. Truffle Aranchini, Poached Shrimp, lettuce and Treviso salad and the chocolate & pistachio dessert were my highlights. I really liked the vermouth they paired with the dessert at the end.

The restaurant itself is lowlight and ambient. No loud music in the back. It was great for conversation.

The servers were super nice and knowledgeable. Like very friendly! That said, we were in a private room and it was a bit rushed on the clearing of the plates, etc. I am not picky, but I know some people are. Or another small thing, water replenishment could have been more frequent.

Menu is great. I was really happy with the food. Especially the things they do to the vegetables, woohoo!! The broccoli and mushrooms were a huge hit for me. I thought the pork was too fatty for my liking, but it was tasty and it was nice with the Pinot noir. Halibut was really good and apparently it’s a long time menu item.

God I was IMPRESSED with the salad. It had so much depth and dimension. A vegetarian could eat happily here.

They switch up the menus and items often. Something to look forward to!

“My first visit to Monterrey Chapel Hill was incredible! Antonio was our waiter and he was fantastic!! He made several recommendations, helped substitute sides, and met all our needs (and wants!) with speed! We will absolutely be back and asking for him by name!!“

“The Med Deli has been a favorite of ours for many years. Our first experience with their catering service only reinforced our love for the place. Liz Coughlin was especially helpful in arranging our order and delivery. Can't wait for the place to reopen at their original location later this year!

“Glad we tried this restaurant. It was the 1st we tried upon arriving at Chapel Hill.

1st, it was difficult to figure out parking. There is metered parking on the street or on the parking lot behind the building.

2nd, the entrance to the restaurant was confusing. The way we entered was on the side and it felt like a storage or the dumpster. Later we learned a better entrance in between buildings leading to a courtyard with access to multiple businesses including Vimalas.

Plenty of seating is available outside and inside. When we arrived, there was a band playing outside.

Lastly, once we looked at the menu, we learned we had to scan the QRCODE on the table to place the order and pay. That's great for some, but for for me it doesn't work.

The food was good. We had vegan and gluten-free free pakoras, dosa masala and kofta curry. The pakoras felt oily, but everything else was good. The portions were a good amount.

Overall I am glad for the options available for those with dietary restrictions.

“My husband and I visited Momo's Master for the first time this evening and had a wonderful experience. We tried Steamed Momo's with veggie filling served with 2 of their signature dipping sauces, and Himalayan Fried Rice (vegetarian). It was great to see the option for both masala tea and coffee on the menu, especially in a downtown Chapel Hill restaurant, therefore we had to try both Himalayan Masala Tea and Himalayan Coffee, and we were glad that we did. I usually do not write reviews but when the food is that good, I do. The momos were one of the best we have had so far and the flavors of both the signature sauces blended well with that of momos. Himalayan fried rice was hot, spicy and very good. The Punjabi guy, Sukhi, and Usha (from Nepal) - both chefs, were great; Sukhi came and asked us how everything was and ensured that it was to our liking. Both Himalayan Masala Tea and Himalayan coffee tasted good, especially Himalayan Masala Tea was really good. The place has a nice, comfortable ambiance. We look forward to visiting the restaurant again and enjoying the food in near future. Highly recommend.“

“The New Hope Market is a half hour from our home, but we go several times a month. Excellent food, which we can take home or eat there. So many delicious to-go items/salads and great daily specials (today’s Korean fried chicken sandwich was amazing, as was the potato corn soup). And the desserts are out of this world, changing daily, with tons of variety. My favorite local eatery.“

“Really good food, had Bobo Chilli Cheeseburger. Quick service, tasty burgers with gluten free bun options, spot on. Free drinks refills. Messy burger but great flavour, worth getting messy. Friendly staff and convenient location. Would definitely recommend.

“So good! They're one of a kind, right in downtown Chapel Hill. It cost the same amount for one to three toppings, and they usually have eight different frozen yogurt flavors available at any given time. Also, you can get on their text list and get coupons sent to you, like buy one get one free or a dollar off any size.“

“Visited for the first time tonight and we will definitely be back. Right off the bat, the employees were friendly, professional, and accommodating. Our water glasses stayed full and our cocktails were delicious. The food was phenomenal—appetizer, entrées, and dessert. The presentation was lovely and the taste was divine. The Whipped Feta & Fig Crostinis were a surprise hit! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Red Cream Paneer Curry and I couldn’t get enough of the Tagliatelle Pasta Alfredo with Wild Mushrooms and Shiitake Bacon. The ice cream sundae was great, too! It was my first time tasting non-dairy ice cream that actually tastes good! Given the quality and care taken to provide vegan food that is THIS tasty, I think the pricing is fair, especially when compared to other local cafés/bistros/restaurants in the area. “When I came in for a meal recently, a food allergy I happen to have made it difficult to find anything on the menu I could eat. But the manager and staff of Brandwein's came through for me and took care of me, getting me happily fed. A big thank you to their team!“

“We waiting for like 5 minutes for employees to come from the back but otherwise the service was quick. Glad to get some healthier options on Franklin! I got the pesto Caesar bowl and the person I was with got the Balboa bowl. Both of them were really good. My only disappointment was the incessant noise from an eight-top in the small back room, which made our request for an intimate, quiet date night experience impossible.“

“This is a place we dreamt of going to. Their pulled pork sandwich is to die for. Yes, they do put a coleslaw on it, and it doesn't look appetizing, BUT try it. It was really good on the sandwich. The pickles were so good. I am not a fan of the bread and butter in the store because they are too sweet. Not these, the perfect ratio between sweet and sour. The hush puppies OMG, perfect consistency and came out warm.
The atmosphere had great music and you could still talk to the people you came with. Please try this place....you won't be sorry.“

“I first tried Cosmic about ten times when I went to school at UNC from 2011-2015. When I worked on Ninth St in Durham, I frequently tried the other location, which was just as good, although a longer line with the Duke students, but it was worth it. And now I order takeout all the time. It's nothing overly fancy, but it's honest, good food, great portions, accommodating, authentic, and affordable. They're open almost all hours of the day, and the Mini Veggie deluxe has only gone up 80 cents in 7 years! My favorite dish is the loaded nachos or the chicken quesadilla with extra cheese and mushrooms. Thank you Cosmic for being here.
