“Made a reservation here a week ahead for a special occasion and was super excited to try it out. Our reservation was for 8pm and we arrived fifteen minutes early and didn’t get sat until around 8:30-8:45 but Being that I also work in the food industry and it’s Covid times, I didn’t see it as a big deal. I do wish I had snacked before hand though! They did send edamame to our table for the inconvenience once we were finally sat though which was a super nice and unnecessary gesture. Also, the ambience is lovely and super romantic. The best sushi I have ever had. So light and flavorful. We even got some dessert and I have to say the mochi doughnuts were to die for - I wish the chocolate sauce for dipping had been dark chocolate but that’s my personal preference. The only negative thing I have to say is it is a little pricey so it won’t be a regular spot for me personally but definitely a place to check out for special events or date nights.“

“Have been to the apex restaurant for lunch for my husband bday for first time . The food ambience and hospitality of Praveen the manager was awesome and they surprised us with bday desert and song and made the first visit the most memorable Can’t wait to go again“

“Had dinner this evening with my daughter that is attending Duke. The meal was delicious and the service was amazing. We sat at the bar, the other side of the restaurant was loud. There was no wait at the bar and we were able to enjoy each other with conversation.“

“Old timey, breakfast-all-day, sandwiches, or a meat & two veg place. I love the French toast, and pancakes with real blueberries in them. My partner likes the omelettes. Good old diner atmosphere. Respectable food. I'm not sure I would call it wheelchair-friendly. The ramp is steep, the doors are heavy if you don't have help, and the handicap parking is abysmal for wheelchairs. The parking in general is not good, it's always crowded. If you have other ambulatory concerns, note that the parking lot is loose gravel.“

“I had a fantastic experience at Sushioki in Durham, NC! We tried the spicy tuna burrito and the HoeDeopBap burrito, and both were absolutely delicious. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the flavors were spot on. The service was excellent — the staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. I highly recommend Sushioki for anyone craving a fresh, tasty sushi burrito in Durham!“

“I finally came to Boricua Soul after seeing them on one of the food shows. I brought my mother along and we really enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere along with the food. Mom got the shrimp sandwich with collard greens and mac & cheese while I got the Boricua Bowl with fried chicken. The greens were great and while I’m not really a mac & cheese person, this mac & cheese was hitting on all cylinders. Great down to earth business where the owners are in tune with all who walk through the doors to share their space. The fact they’re located at American Tobacco in downtown Durham right by the Durham Bulls baseball stadium makes it a must stop. Defintely coming back the next time I’m in Durham when I see Mom again.“

They had info from a past experience in the system apparently which made for great conversation with our server. He was newer to the area and there were notes to a call brand of scotch and our previously enjoyed meals. The meals were delicious and the server knew when to come and go. Parizade is a must when we get to Durham, it never disappoints! The bar manager offered up a new spicy bourbon they just started carrying as a sample for an opinion, it had a spicy honey finish with a slight citrus bite. Aged in Madeira barrels, that was a very nice sipping cocktail and would recommend it. Parizade is always a 10 for the meal and experience!“

“Have had nothing but the best experience with Rise! I place my large order Saturday night and then show up Sunday morning to pick up the food and it’s always ready and always correct. They have called me once that morning when they had a question about my order which I thought went above and beyond. Prices are reasonable and the food is quality.“
