“The Bean Flower is hands down the best boba shop in the triangle, and I love putting money in the pocket for a born and bred Durham biz owner- a real person not a corporation. CC and her team worked really hard on this menu, and it shows. The specials are really unique and delicious (chai nog, corn milk, and the malted orange hot chocolate have been standouts). But the main reason I go is for the chai. It's really authentic, sweet, spicy, and delicious.

I can tell that CC and her team are genuinely community driven and I'm so glad we have this spot in Durham.“

“We had an absolutely great experience here. We picked it on a whim but so very glad we did! The beers were excellent, with a really good variety available and the food was probably some of the best I've ever had at a brewery. The Cuban sandwich was super tasty and the Cajun-seasoned fries were ridiculously good. It's a nice space, too. Plenty of seating inside and outside. I dearly wish I lived closer so I could go again.“

The service is consistently great, with all the beer tenders serving with a personable touch. I also love the glass jug for group and work events since you can easily rent the atrium space out. I found my community here through run club on Tuesdays, Trivia on Wednesdays, and many other events.“

“I love Boxcar! It’s such a fun night out. They have a great selection of drinks and games and the outdoor seating is expansive when it is nice outside. They sometimes have live entertainment too - accidentally showed up during a drag show which was a fun surprise! One of the Guitar Hero guitars doesn’t really work well though… so might want to put up a sign so people don’t get frustrated 😅“

“A true rock club. What a great venue! Having grown up in the DC/metro Maryland area and having been a regular at The Black Cat, 9:30 Club, 8x10 and Ottobar - this place gets it! Its a perfect combination of dark, raw with an amazing sound system and the perfect size. Cool layout with the ability to get out of the performance area and into a more casual space if you need to. Hip bartenders and staff. Love it!!!!!“

“I stopped by Parker & Otis yesterday about 25 minutes before closing and didn’t realize they stop making sandwiches at 4:00. I was honestly crushed!

The man behind the counter was incredibly kind and apologetic. He told me about a few other options and mentioned there was one sandwich left in the case. I grabbed it—and it was excellent!

I wish I had asked his name. He had brown hair and a beard and was wearing a green and black shirt. Whoever he is, he was absolutely the best. Customer service like that really makes a difference.

I’ve learned so much and appreciated the process more than I thought I would. Friendly staff, chill vibe, and you’ll almost always meet a cute puppy.“
