“I was looking for a place to take our company’s employees during the day to celebrate its 20th anniversary. One of our peeps had suggested Urban Axes as he’d gone there before with another group. I gotta tell you, they make this SO easy. Go online, clear pricing, reserve right there. I had a follow up email with a bunch of catering and other experience-type packages (bday, bachelorette, etc). They had several restaurants to choose from - again with super clear pricing. We chose Pie Pushers (one of our faves). Even though I responded a bit late, the event planner was able to make it all happen - lovely food. Bradley, our instructor, was AMAZING. He explained plainly how it was all gonna work and was there the entire time keeping score, giving us pointers, and leading a really super fun meet-up. He had a great sense of humor and he took out any of the shyness we may have had going into a new to us adventure. This really was a superb option for groups. Highly recommend and we’ll absolutely be back. Thank you for having us!”

“Little Bull is one of our favorites in Durham. We arrived to a tweaked summer menu and drink list that did not disappoint. Even the stalwart items had an updated twist. Love the creativity. Beautiful evening on the patio. Our foodie guest from Berkeley, CA gushed about the food all the way home!”

“I have been here several times with my friends and colleagues. We have lunch party with my colleagues many times they provided free dessert. The quality of the food is good (both veg and nonveg). Lavina (staff of the restaurant) was excellent with both her recommendations and service. I strongly recommend this restaurant for lunch/dinner.”

Louisiana dishes at its best here In Durham - yes the Fried Catfish, red beans & rice might be a tad better with Andouille Sausage rather than ham but won’t quibble! Yum shrimp and grits. Beignets and key lime pie - how better to end a meal. Good selection of beer and masterful prepared SAZERAC! Sound level inside - tad loud, only negative. Thank you Manager Dana for our gift of Key Lime and more for guiding well trained, Attentive, skilled staff who advised, directed us in the menu and served well. Highly recommend Seraphine!”

“As usual, the food at M-Sushi was excellent BUT we were shocked that there was no high chair or child seat available for the infant that our young friends had to bring. In addition, there was no changing table in either restroom, which seems unusual. They may be trying to discourage bringing young children but, since I had indicated that we would be doing that on my reservation, I feel they should have informed me and I could have made alternative arrangements. It is too good to take off my list of favorites but it certainly made me think again.”

“I had dinner last night with a friend after discovering this place on Instagram via @offlinerdu, and it was a fantastic experience. Even though we arrived an hour before closing, we were treated with the utmost respect. From the host stand to our wonderful waitress (brunette hair), the service was exceptional. I enjoyed the featured wine, Brussels sprouts, and gnocchi—all of which were delicious. Our waitress provided excellent recommendations, and I can't wait to return. It's always exciting to uncover hidden gems like this in Durham, a city with so many amazing restaurants.”

“This location opened earlier this year and is hidden enough you won’t be waiting 60 minutes for brunch on Sunday. The food was delicious; I ordered the Breakfast sandwich served w potatoes. Next time I’ll likely ask for the new potatoes to be well done since I prefer them crispier. My friend ordered the Chickichanga minus chorizo, also with new potatoes. The highlight of our a Sunday brunch was the service by Jill! She was a breath of fresh air; friendly, prompt service, attentive, and genuine. I’ll be back, and be sure to ask for Jill by name!”

“I was so disappointed with my meal as I had been looking forward to trying their spanakopita which came with a Greek salad. The salad was very good but the spanakopita was terrible. It was so dry that I couldn't cut it with a table knife! I've had this dish at other places and this is the worst I have had--order with caution!”

“I was in town with a taste for a spinach & mushroom omlett. I found a hidden diamond here. I ordered the Spinach and Mushroom Omlett. I've never had an omlett in layers.... It was absolutely delicious. I wish I had remembered to take a pic before I demolished it?
Wait service was kinda loud in talking among themselves but instantly stopped to address customers. Very, clean and comfortable dining.”

“It was our first Sunflower bakery experience, and it was awesome! The owners are very kind, fast responsive, super responsible, easy to understand, very generous and does absolutely amazingly tasty cakes ! The owner verified our pick up and had it ready in time! We ordered 2 tier Chocolate and strawberry birthday cake with decorations and it was delicious! It seems like a good balance between soft to eat and steady enough to transport cake! We eat it for 4 days and it was still good. Price wasn’t cheap but not the most expensive one either. One thing we know for next time is not to order fresh fruit filling because it is not fresh after one day, better jam filling instead or none. Thank you Sunflower bakery!”

“This restaurant is in a strip mall that completely misleads the quality of this food. I just ordered some to be delivered, it was brought in a paper bag. Think of your seafood cooked in a flavorful soup, then ladled into a plastic bag, then into another plastic bag, then the bags are placed in a paper bag. Seems sketch, right? Probably the best seafood I've had in Durham. Never judge a book by the cover. This food was EXCEPTIONAL. It's tasty, it's messy, and it's worth it.”

“I stopped in not knowing what to expect, but I loved it! I ordered the chicken bulgogi sandwich, which was absolutely delicious. The bun was an appropriate size for the chicken patty which was much appreciated. My boyfriend ordered the mango berbere wings and they had a great flavor. Highly recommend this spot! You really can’t beat the location. One small recommendation I would make for the restaurant is to dim the overhead lights a bit as they were a little too bright for a dinner experience.”

We loved each of three cocktails, bit the best part of it all, was our bartender Kaykay with excellent knowledge and welcoming approach serving up shots of humor and real personality backed by a dash of honest approach too the craft. “A lovely wine bar with a wonderful selection of orange wine! I stopped by again on my birthday a few weeks ago, and was warmly welcomed by the owner Esteban. I think Brunello focuses more on the wine than the bar. In other words, it’s a great place to try out and get educated on new wine, but it’s less “vibe-y” as a bar. I wonder if softer chairs/a couch would help. Overall highly recommend!!”

Both the interior and exterior have such warm, welcoming vibes, it gets pretty busy here but the way the restaurant is laid out, it never feels too crazy and the employees are fast and efficient.
