Gocciolina is a gem of a restaurant with amazing mushroom ravioli and very reasonable prices. The bartender Josh is knowledgeable and engaging. While the food was very good, there were some issues with the service as meals arrived before starters and there was a lack of compensation for mistakes. The atmosphere is cute, with a variety of dishes including pasta in a light lemon butter sauce, eggplant, artichoke salad, and mussels. The waiter may not always listen to requests but remains friendly. Despite some service mishaps, Gocciolina contributes to Durham's culinary scene and is a popular spot for many, despite some negative experiences.
