“Waffle House in Durham was exactly what you want from a classic Waffle House experience.
There was plenty of parking, and inside it had that typical smaller Waffle House layout with booths, counter seating, friendly staff, and a lively crowd. Some of the patrons were clearly having a good time, which made the whole visit feel like dinner and a show.
I stopped in for dinner, not breakfast, and kept it simple since I’m eating keto: eggs and bacon. The service was prompt, my drink came quickly, and the cook even brought my plate to the table. The eggs were cooked exactly the way I ordered them, and the bacon was right on point.
Sometimes Waffle House is at its best when it is just being Waffle House, and this one delivered exactly that: good food, good service, and a little people-watching entertainment on the side.“
“The food is affordable but for what it is a expected a little better value. Such as my brother got add on sausage and it was $4.50 for the smallest 2 pieces of sausage ever. Our waitress barely spoke English which was strange I wasn't sure if they just needed her to fill in or maybe they get a lot of Spanish speaking customers but we could barely understand each other.“
“I always feel very welcome at a Waffle House and this one was no exception. It has a very good feel to it. I was welcomed in and my server was quick to get my drink order. The coffee is decent and the food was great. The staff is friendly and easy going. I look forward to returning to this location.“
“My husband and I just ate at the Waffle House by Southpoint. We were greeted immediately when we entered. Synnie our waitress was AWESOME! In fact, the entire crew seemed pretty amazing. Very fast paced environment and it appeared to run like a well oiled machine. 5 stars all around ✨. Even my husband had good things to say.“

The service was phenomenal and the food was delicious; and even when the steak ordered was not to my liking; Geo, Darien and Yamala made it right by suggesting another item on the menu and it was DELICIOUS and very much something that I would return to this Waffle House and order again.
I think Geo, Darien and Yamala going the extra mile made a huge difference in my dining experience.“
