Sitar Indian Cuisine has been a favorite since the late '90s. The buffet, including desserts and chai, is consistently good, with a great variety of veggies, paneer, chicken, and classic Indian desserts. The atmosphere is enhanced by Indian music that is lively yet not overpowering, allowing guests to converse easily. Service staff is very attentive, ensuring fresh plates and water refills, and providing helpful explanations of menu items. The restaurant features a spacious setting with a separate bar area and space for celebrations, making it suitable for different occasions. The weekend buffet costs $22 and offers a good selection, from appetizers to desserts like gulab jamun, rasagulla, flan, payasam, rice pudding, barfis, and cakes. Dishes such as butter tofu and tandoori are highlights, though some reviews mention that bread, like naan, sometimes arrives hard if not served in smaller batches. The menu includes options for everyone, with some wishing for more lamb choices. Vegan diners will appreciate the all-vegan buffet every other Thursday, praised for its quality and changing menu. The restaurant also offers chai, hibiscus, and mango lassi drinks. Overall, the food is incredibly tasty, resembling home-cooked flavors, and the service is friendly and helpful. It remains a top spot for good food, friendly service, and a welcoming environment.
