“Found this gem by accident when we were over in Durham one evening. The menu looked great, but you never know, right? It wasn’t too busy when we arrived and the worker taking orders greeted us when we came in the door. He was engaging and passionate about the menu items. The wait for food wasn’t too long… and when the food came.. WOW! Seriously some of the best empanadas and tacos I’ve had. The barbacoa was full of flavor. The pork tacos with pineapple were yum! Chips and salsa were a hit! Seriously so glad we found this place. Definitely going on the repeat visit list!“
“Azteca Grill is sooo good. I ordered the Enchiladas Verde (It's my comfort food dish after decades living in Texas). They were totally delicious. Often when I order this dish here in North Carolina, the chicken is chewy and the salsa verde isn't quite right. The chicken in my enchiladas tonight was perfectly tender, and the salsa was exactly as it should be - tangy tomatillo with just the right amount of heat. I had a nice conversation with one of the guys that works there. He told me that the restaurant is totally family-run. His aunt was cooking that night, but his dad, mom, and grandfather also prepare food. I could tell he was really proud of Azteca. They're doing an amazing job, start to finish, including their 99.5 health rating.“
“The food, drinks, customer service, and ambiance are all amazing. We had the best experience. Our server, Juan, was super patient and knowledgeable about all the menu items and drinks. The chicken rolls are to die for. We will most definitely be returning soon and I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. It's one of the best that I've had the pleasure of dining at“
“My bestie and I stopped by for some Quesabirrias the ladies up there were very nice and easy with us on explaining things and I asked for a pineapple fruit cup and they made it FRESH I love it I wish we had one in columbia and the Quesabirrias they were amazing better than any I’ve tried before if I wasn’t I love before I am now they were so nice and for the price you got enough if not more than enough for the price 20/10 recommend and will definitely be back soon we were are in Durham “
“I am SO happy I found somewhere with delicious tamales! The masa is moist and they have a good amount of filling. Also, Best lengua tacos I’ve ever had! The meat is seasoned and cooked well with a nice texture. The tacos are big and the handmade tortillas are great. I recommend the chicken quesadilla too! We will absolutely be returning“
“5 stars all the way around! I had called twice and no one answered (big order) so I was ready to head out and to my behold they call me back! Like I’ve never had a food place call me back! We placed our order over the phone. EVERYTHING was correct! Not a sauce was missing! Customer service is amazing! Food portion is generous we couldn’t it all in one setting! Beautiful people! I’ll recommend a thousand times over. God bless“
“The barbacoa crunch wrap was reasonably tasty but not amazing. It dripped on my pants and table as I ate it. (I had my computer open on my table.) It was expensive at $14 before a mandatory service charge. The food hall itself is loud.I asked the cashier for a recommendation and named two choices I was thinking about. I told me of the best seller, walked me through options, including noting that the special is available until selling out, twice, but never made a recommendation or said if the special had sold out. It's like he didn't understand what a recommendation is.I may go back but I may try a different vendor in the food hall next time.Parking: Limited pair street parking is nearby.“
“Tomas (bartender) and Andrea (server) were amazing. They were friendly, courteous, and provided 5 star service. They also with choosing the best tequila and tacos for my solo date night. The Quesabirrias were so yummy and filling, the cocktails were made fresh wit pineapple purée, and the Carrito de Churros were the perfect sweet treat (esp. with the caramel/cream sauces). The ambiance is great for a romantic date night, girls night out, after work hang out, or solo date night. The decor is invites local influencers to capture picture perfect moments. I look forward to coming again soon!“
“The food is delicious! Everything! We ordered chorizo queso and it was so good we ordered another one. The chips and salsa are too good! We had the birria quesadilla with consume and it was top tier!! Steak fajita quesadilla with rice very good and the kids chicken quesadilla with fries. Next time we will skip the fries because the rice is so flavorful! We recommend and will absolutely return! Staff was friendly and works quickly!“
“Great food always. If you come early am they have a truck outside if you like tamales ?. I always come here also for the meat, can get it also pre-marrinated in their sauce which is awesome ?.Parking: Not allot of spaces since it is also a grocery store/meat marketKid-friendliness: Always kid friendly. Everyone that works there knows and speaks to my kids as well as us.“
“We got the Taco Bar catering at our offsite location for a 25 person party and let me tell you - it was FANTASTIC. The food was hot and delicious and the partygoers loved it. Also, there was so much that we sent everyone home with another plate! Highly recommend!!!The only issue I had was that the driver was around 10 minutes late (and we were right downtown Durham, so it wasn't like the location was far out or hard to find). Give yourself a buffer on the delivery time and you'll be fine.Would 100% order again!“
“Went with my friends today! It’s was very busy and the hosted never missed a beat! She was super friendly and very attentive to the customers! Making for a great dining experience. The food was amazing! Very fresh, large portions, oh you have to try their apple churros. This is what I had today!“

“My family is from Mexico and these tacos are AMAZING!!! incredibly authentic food and wonderful service! The restaurant is connected to the store and the store also had a great selection of Mexican foods and groceries. If you want delicious Mexican food, the place is a must! Also, the restaurant closes at 7:30pm while the whole store closes at 8pm so plan accordingly.“
“Hands-down the absolute best guacamole I ever had in my life. I didn’t even get a picture of it because I ate it all before I could get a photo ?. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was great and the service was a little slow, but that was because they were very busy.“
“Cosmic is my favorite takeout spot in Durham. As a vegan, there aren’t many that deliver on flavor and filling but that’s not an issue with Cosmic.A few weeks ago as I was picking up my order to go I realized there was a door to a roof and it blew my mind. I got the chance to come back with my partner and we enjoyed our burritos in the sun on the roof and had an amazing time.My go to order is this:Vegetarian burrito: beans rice pico guacNo sour cream or cheese.Vegetarian options: Great veggie options with vegan chorizo if that’s your styleDietary restrictions: They’re great at identifying vegan options on the menu and clearly list vegetarian things as well“
“I mean, I'm from Kansas, but I ordered the Tijuana Burrito and it was one of my top three favorite meals ever! Prices seemed fair and portions were plenty large. We were here for a family members surgery at Duke and this place was a nice little escape for us. I feel like it was authentic Mexican cuisine without having to visit a sketchy neighborhood. I highly recommend it.“
“Some of the best tacos in the Triangle area for sure! This is a place to visit if you want to experience authentic Mexican food with high-quality and fresh flavors. There are plenty of diverse and delicious menu items available. Can't wait to go back!“
“First time getting food from here and I had it delivered. Due to poor internet in my apartment I unintentionally made the delivery driver wait 10-15 minutes. However he was still super friendly and my food was amazing. I highly recommend the beef fajitas!“
“My go-to for Mexican food. I have never had a bad meal there. Large menu. Tortilla factory. I hit the meat market in the back before leaving, it's a win/win. Can't believe I didn't know about this place for over 10 years. I love this place. They have great home made Salsa and the best Carnitas. Their spatchcocked chicken is also great and less expensive than the food trucks.“
“This place is amazing the food is great and the employees are great!! They close at 10 but online says 11 and the guy working still took our order at 10:30 and was excited to do so there was no attitude or anything! I will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know! Thanks again it’s rare to get great service in Durham and y’all were amazing! Thanks again“
“Delicious food filled with flavor! We usually order takeout, the restaurant is small but offers seating in and outdoor. We enjoy the tacos, gorditas and tortas. Their salsas are also very tasty. The service is friendly and quick. We cannot wait to go back ??? ❤️“
“I enjoy the restaurant staff and the restaurant itself. The food is wonderful and their chicken filling for enchiladas, tacos , ect., is wonderfully seasoned and made in house. This restaurant makes their own beautiful, chicken tamales served with a sauce. If you have not tried a tamale, do so here. They are delicately seasoned and are such a delicacy to experience. This is a family style restaurant but I have seen business lunches there, too. The location on Guess Road is easy access with much free parking.Kid-friendliness: The kids have always been enjoying their lunch order, are well behaved for their parents when I have been there.“
“Their shrimp tacos are the best! The slaw is tasty, the salsas are bright and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. I also love her tamales, when she has them! I come here every week, they are always kind and I never wait too long for my food. Thank you !“
“10/10 it was perfect. I love little spots like this. You can tell someone’s abuela is back there doing her thing ?. Please go check this place out. It brings that feeling like you’re eating real Mexican food, not something another culture is trying to imitate.“
“I have been going to la super taqueria for a while now. It is a local go to spot for Mexican food. The portions are very generous and the Aguas frescas are also good. My favorite is the gordita de asada but the fajitas tejanas are also a good options.“
“I am absolutely in love with this place. I enjoy a keto friendly lifestyle. Therefore I ordered a fajita salad with shrimp. I requested that the shrimp only have salt and pepper on it to avoid any type of hidden sugar. Omg it was freaking amazing. I don't eat much in one setting so I took the remainder home. I ate on it from lunch until 8:00 p.m. that night. It left me wanting more. So I have gone back since and got another one. My coworker got their tacos, and he said it was amazing as well.If I could give more than five stars I would. The atmosphere was great. The service was prompt and friendly. My food arrived relatively quickly and was fresh. I could smell the shrimp cooking in the back. Five stars +++“
“Their street tacos remind me of my grandma cooking tacos in her restaurant in Illinois. The lingua tacos remind me of taquerias by Billy Bob's in Ft. Worth Texas. No other place in the triangle compares.Previously having lived out west, I know my tacos.?????????“
“We love this place, the service and the food excellent ! It's like going down the rabbit hole and coming out on the other side in Wonderland! Don't let the age or location of this building fool you. It's definitely worth a visit. This place has the best traditional tacos in all of Durham! The pineapple water is to die for, and each plate of tacos is served with pickled carrots and onions that will drive anyone mad! The staff is always so friendly and our food is always prepared promptly. This really is a family favorite and a must-have at least once or twice a month! I wish they would sell the pickled carrots by the gallon. LOL, they're that good!“
“Great little restaurant tucked in next to a gas station. Good food, nice people, and the atmosphere is exactly what one expects from a cute little Mexican restaurant. The fajitas are well seasoned and large. The mole is fantastic. Definitely worth the trip. The huarache is thinner than at other places but just as flavorful, and it made it easier to drink.“
“I have always wanted to try this spot but never had the time. You know a spot is good when you find people from that same ethnicity or region patronizing the place. I went around lunch time and it was packed. I ordered the Tacos went to the car, eat it all and came back and ordered some more! Unfortunately, I have no pictures of the tacos but I do have of the fried tilapia and I can tell you it was hot, fresh and delicious!“
“An absolutely wonderful food truck experience. The service was amazing, and the food is top notch. This was situated outside of their home, and I couldn't have felt more welcome. Thank you so much, and I hope I get to see you all again.“
“Surprised by the ambiance and vibe. Fun and classy place. Very tasty food and generous portions. The owner served us and Daniele was lovely. Easy to tell she is just naturally a generous and nice person. Fun lunch and will be back with a bigger appetite!“
“Came here last night to grab some tacos - you can find this outside the motel 6. Ordered 3 carne asada tacos, each had cilantro onion and small pieces of steak & came with a small slice of lime. Sliced cucumbers & grilled pepper was on the side. For $2 each, it was solid, not the best but not the worst. Steak was a little dry but I heard chicken/chorizo is better. 4 stars for super quick service & their green sauce. Make sure to grab some!!“
“The food was excellent. I come from Portugal and I went in for a coffee and I got an excellent surprise: the food 5 Estrella's, the attention 5 Estrella's and Jazmin. The nicest robot that will serve YOU and treat YOUR food. Congratulations I recommend itParking: It is spacious and easy to access.“
“This is hands down the best Moe's in the Triangle. The food is always fresh and up to par. The workers are always very friendly and helpful. Even when we were having issues with discounts showing up in the Moe's app they made sure the issue was addressed and not looked over. The facilities are also very clean !Dietary restrictions: They have charts up that would be helpful to anyone with dietary restrictions to soy dairy and gluten.“
“My husband and I went there because our usual was closing in 10 mins so this was a recommendation by a customer picking up their food. When we arrived we were seated immediately and given drinks and salsa/chips. It was our first time eating there so the waiter gave us a couple of mins longer to decide. We asked for queso in the meantime and boy did we kill that little bowl of queso. My husband has fajitas you get two large fajitas and some beans and rice on the side to put in them, he said they were good. I had the ACC which is the rice cheese and shrimp, the shrimp were done to perfection and had a slight grilled taste which was delicious the queso of you already know lol, and lastly the rice was great. It was the first time I could eat the rice at a Mexican restaurant as I have dietary restrictions. Overall I think we both enjoyed our food the only problem we had was getting drinks, but we understood this place was packed wall to wall and I'm sure our waiter was stressed out and tired so it's really not a real big issue to us.“
“I'm here from Texas and lived in Mexico City for a little while. Coming to North Carolina, good Mexican food was not an expectation. But last night I saw people standing out in the cold eating by this truck and so I stopped in. Wonderful birria and wonderful people. I will be back - can't wait to taste the rest of the menu.“
“The service is friendly and the place and the food are familiar, I particularly like it a lot.Parking: The parking lot is small but you can find a place.Kid-friendliness: The place is not very big and it is suitable for children as long as parents keep an eye on them because there are a couple of somewhat high steps that could be dangerous for children if you as a parent do not pay attention to them.“
“Been on a quest for good Mexican like we had in Ohio and this was exactly what we were looking for! The Chimichangas were seasoned wonderfully and the Chori Pollo was perfect! Great, quick and friendly service. The Coconut margarita hit the spot!! Our new go to place for Mexican!“
“Since I’ve Moved to this area, this has been the best food I’ve ever had of a food truck. Besides the price, the people and the food is amazing. I usually have the quesadilla but I decided to try the new item they have which is the same but it’s quesabirria, so delicious and amazing my husband had a torta which is good too, we never end up finishing it since it’s so much food. Their tacos are delicious as well.“
“In my opinion one of the most underrated family owned Mexican food trucks in east Durham . I've been coming to this truck consistently through out the year and one thing stays true, always fresh! The tortillas are hand made on the spot and you can hear that grill sizzle with every order. They do not open on Sundays but the truck is stationed at the same location all week. They have two large picnic tables outside with umbrellas for shade if you want to enjoy your meal there!“
“Probably the best Birria in Durham. The broth was sublime yet complex. Really....the layers of flavor are deep without being over seasoned. You really need to put them to the test. And so many fusions of different cuisines: The Ramen can compete with the best!“
