Showed up at 11 for lunch while in town for work, doors were locked. We waited for around 10-15 minutes to see if they’d open because staff were inside and they had a delivery they were handling and they saw us, but the doors never unlocked and there was 0 acknowledgement.
Tried for the first time tonight and I will definitely be returning!! Everything we tried was fabulous, from the queso to the sopes! They were so so Good!! Very friendly staff (attentive) we had three different people check on us! I would give them 10/10! Must try!!

Had the Sope (no photo bc I demolished it quick!) - The most authentic house made crust (from what I remember from Mexico City), and the most flavorful and tender meat. I had no clue this place existed, and Tuesday I'm going back for the Birrias (made with goat)!!!

Based on the reviews, Tacos Number Juan is a great experience with fire food. The quality is as good as any taco trucks, and tastes so much better than Taco Bell. The taco combo #1 with chorizo tacos, rice and beans, and a coke is great food for the price. The Chicken Rolls are enjoyed every single bite, and the queso w/chips is the icing on the cake. The asada burrito rivals California quality burritos. The bowl w/protein is a favorite. This is one of the best hidden gems of Durham, with $.99 tacos on Tuesday, $5.99 margaritas, and $6 draft pitchers. The rice and beans are incredibly flavorful. The online ordering system is seamless, and pick up is spot on timeliness. The service is great, with a patient server who gives tastes of the noodles. The aesthetic of the restaurant is very cool and vibey.
