8 Best Beer Bars in Durham

The Glass Jug Beer Lab - RTP Brewery • $$
5410 NC-55 V, Durham

“Pleasant staff and very welcoming to all. The service is above and beyond here. I enjoyed the Ginger beer that's on tap. I appreciate being able to try the beer before I purchase. I came here on a Friday night for a free comedy show. The comedians Cabell and Tony were the funniest. I like that there was a food truck on site but I had food at home before arriving. The ambiance here was okay for a brewery space. The outdoor area was gravel and patio picnic tables which weren't the most comfortable but bearable for a free comedy experience.“

“Love this bar! Great drink selection, lovely bartenders, and a friendly neighborhood vibe. Also, it's very clean ✨ and usually there's plenty of parking nearby (in the parking lot by the farmer's market and side streets around it)“

Beer Tooth Taproom Beer Bar •
105 NC-54 Suite 263, Durham

“If you’re in the area and you like beer, you must go here. The knowledge of the beer-making process seems to be the core of Beer Tooth (which is pretty important for a good brew). I’ve learned so much and appreciated the process more than I thought I would. Friendly staff, chill vibe, and you’ll almost always meet a cute puppy.“

“The hospitality of the staff was very nice! Me and my friend had been waiting for an Uber outside at night in the cold, and while they seemed to be closing, a staff member invited us in and let us sit and be warm until our Uber got there. Very nice of them!! Thank yall again!“

“From out of town but decided to try this place out and it was definitely busy but I soon found out why! Maybe I was just very hungry but this place hands down had the best wings I’ve ever had and their burger I would say was 9.5/10 (lettuce too large haha) but great service too considering how busy they were. Overall fantastic restaurant.“

Beer Study-Durham Beer Bar • $
2501 University Dr #4, Durham

“This place has some good beer. I tried 4 beers and loved all of them. There Hefe is awesome. Prices are also pretty reasonable. They even have beer and wine to shop. This establishment is connected with another establishment where you can get some food and they have a bar too. Service was quick and good. Ambiance inside is pretty huge and could have been decorated more nicely. But overall it’s good. They have an awesome outside seating too.“
