11 Best Beer Bars near Knightdale

Oak City Brewing Company Brewery • $$
616 N First Ave, Knightdale

“Very nice place to grab a pint with friends. They turned an old house into a tavern, which gives it a homey feeling. The beer selection is from their brewery as well as some guest taps. As for their beer, they do a nice job with several different styles to choose from. While they did offer a 4 flight, it was limited to a promotion they were having. Would have been nice to be able to flight some of their other taps. However, they do let you have samples of their taps, so that helps. They are pet friendly, inside and out, so that is nice. First time there, but it won't be my last.“

The Taproom Bar • $
861-104 Old Knight Rd, Knightdale

“I first met the proprietors of this establishment almost 9 years ago, and they have always exceeded my expectations with service and an assortment of things from vapes to amazing craft beers. Though I don’t play shuffleboard, it seems to be popular at times along with the darts and the table frisbee golf. You would do yourself a disservice to not check out this place if you’re in the neighborhood. Even the trivia is oddly entertaining.“

“I went to Wilson's Eatery before a concert at the amphitheater in Raleigh. My group was in the mood for burgers, and I had Wilson's on my list of places to try. The restaurant is very casual with indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered at the counter, and then found a seat. It was crowded outside, but it was easy to find an empty table. Inside had plenty of seating. We ordered Ell Bell's burger, fried chicken sandwich, Torta, and Grilled cheese (kid's menu). Sides are not included, but we did order them separately. Those included fries, Mac and cheese, and broccoli salad. The fries good standard fries and a must with the burger. The broccoli salad was good, but not the best I ever had. The mac and cheese was pretty standard, but my daughter wasn't a fan. Not sure if it was because it was beer cheese. I love root beer, so get it if you are a fan too. The beer selection is great too with seasonal options. I would come back for a burger and fries when in the area for sure.“

“The chicken cutlet is the: Torta Milanesa - it's pretty good but I think the cheese steak is definitely more flavorful, so I preferred that over it. I was going to add some ground mustard sauce in the Torta Milanesa (like a tiny bit to kick up the flavor but not overpower it) but I forgot because it was messy to eat, and I demolished it. It’s more refreshing and lighter, I guess.Cheesesteak had carnitas as the meat and lots of sauce, so it was pretty good. It was filling but wasn't overly heavy feeling probably cause the other flavors it had in it. Definitely was savory. These sandwiches are shareable b/c how big they are.I don’t usually like sweet potato tots but this one was seasoned with some salt so it was balanced, and I actually liked it (I hate when they don't season the sweet potato fries or tots because you can't exactly put salt on it yourself because it’ll just bounce off and not stick as well once it cools)The mozzarella stick was $9 so not sure if I would get it again, but I just wanted some. It was definitely house-made and cheese pulled well and was also fully filled with cheese unlike those frozen ones you get that are 1/3 insides filled. With inflation it might be a good price.“

Gatsby's Kitchen Wine Bar • $$
6109 Maddry Oaks Ct, Raleigh - 8.17 miles

“Really loving my Philly cheesesteak from the Gatsby food truck while sipping my glass of red wine. Understated and IMO under appreciated little spot. Fun for a group game night, quiet conversation on the couch, or game of pool. Not over the top and the vibe is very relaxed and chill.“

Loaded Fries

“We went there on a Sunday afternoon. The place was empty, maybe because it was too early. We ordered some drinks $4 mimosas on Sundays. You can play darts for free, and they also have a pool table, board games, and cards. We enjoyed our time hanging out, playing some games, and having drinks. There are a lot of paintings on the wall for sale. We'll be back again.“

Clouds Brewing Tap Room Brewery • $$
1233 Front St, Raleigh - 7.83 miles

“Our first time to the Clouds Brewing Taproom. I liked the space -- big and open. Looked like outdoor space as well though it was enclosed in a big clear tent, either for cold or rain or both. I ordered their Sucker Punch sour which I always enjoy. The place was very crowded for a Christmas event going on but the bartender was efficient and asked people to step down the bar after they ordered and paid to keep things moving. For my second drink I decided to go with one of the Flat Rock ciders in the cooler. I love Flat Rock and had never tried the Key Lime Cider which was listed on the menu but I didn't see it in the cooler. I asked the bartender and he said there was one left and went to retrieve it. As he poured it he said he was saving it for himself but it was mine now. It was so good -- glad I got to try it. Bartender gets 5 stars in my eyes!“
