“I've had three or four dining experiences at Mateo across a few years, and all of them have been superb. I often come here before an event at DPAC as it's a convenient option and you can park in the Corcorcan street deck / surface lot equidistant between the restaurant and DPAC. The food is very tasty and inventive, the wait staff is very high quality, friendly and knowledgeable and the ambiance is lively and warm, without being uppity or overly loud. Also the food comes out quickly if you mention you have a show to get to (but you're not rushed in other instances). Highly recommend the pan de tomate, beet dish, any of the salads and the patatas bravas. Had the olive oil cake this time and it was delicious without being overly sweet or heavy. Always a great place for out-of-town guests or a date night.“

“Oh wow, this place is so wonderful. An absolutely beautiful space, really attentive and friendly staff, and delicious food. We had two cocktails, the barbacoa (favorite), ceviche (favorite), octopus and arepes (both really good). Also had the bread pudding for dessert and it was to die for!! Pricey ($150 for two), but definitely worth it for special occasions. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant! PS. Lots of GF options.“

“This place is a little hidden in its upstairs location, but it was worth finding! There is plenty of parking-which we loved right off the bat. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff was attentive, very friendly and welcoming. We very much enjoyed our food and the relaxed vibe. (The deviled eggs are excellent!)
This is the perfect place to get together with friends for a drink, bites and a dessert. We will definitely be back.
-We even got their cheese box to take home with us! It’s so cool that they offer this on their menu and we will enjoy it very much for the upcoming holiday.“

“A lovely wine bar with a wonderful selection of orange wine! I stopped by again on my birthday a few weeks ago, and was warmly welcomed by the owner Esteban. I think Brunello focuses more on the wine than the bar. In other words, it’s a great place to try out and get educated on new wine, but it’s less “vibe-y” as a bar. I wonder if softer chairs/a couch would help. Overall highly recommend!!“

“I was so disappointed with my meal as I had been looking forward to trying their spanakopita which came with a Greek salad. The salad was very good but the spanakopita was terrible. It was so dry that I couldn't cut it with a table knife! I've had this dish at other places and this is the worst I have had--order with caution!“

“I came to town to do an event and was staying at the courtyard Marriott and was starving. Found this place across the street. The staff was very nice specifically Blanca she was my weight staff person. She was fantastic very friendly. Very nice. The food was great and quick and hot and tasty and for the price I paid it was worth what I paid and just a very good experience.“

“Amazing date night. Food was fabulous. 4 course prix fixe menu was killer. Each meal was delicious. Honestly, pleasantly pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was.

Atmosphere was fantastic. Service was superior. Multiple staff waited on us. Ryan was great. Can’t wait to come again.

My server was ✨Xenia ? and afterward the bartender/ manager (he didn’t specify,but he seemed like one) was so nice to me and understood that I’m the type of customer who only cares… not a complainer ✨?✨ the ramen ahhhhh so good better than anything ever.
