“I've had three or four dining experiences at Mateo across a few years, and all of them have been superb. I often come here before an event at DPAC as it's a convenient option and you can park in the Corcorcan street deck / surface lot equidistant between the restaurant and DPAC. The food is very tasty and inventive, the wait staff is very high quality, friendly and knowledgeable and the ambiance is lively and warm, without being uppity or overly loud. Also the food comes out quickly if you mention you have a show to get to (but you're not rushed in other instances). Highly recommend the pan de tomate, beet dish, any of the salads and the patatas bravas. Had the olive oil cake this time and it was delicious without being overly sweet or heavy. Always a great place for out-of-town guests or a date night.“

“Fried chicken, greens and mac & cheese. Chicken fried to order deli y. Greens seasoned well added a splash of vinegar. Mac & cheese creamy and awesome flavor. Bug juice, like I remember as a child (a little too sweet for the adult me), still good though. Food was hot, the way food be. Everyone was very friendly, staff as well as patrons. Will be going back to try their Oxtails,yum!!!!“

“This is such a great gem of a restaurant. We went for brunch. Food and drinks were creative and delicious. Beyond that, the service was great. Our server was so friendly and kind. My favorite part was that this restaurant takes care of its staff. They have figured out that the front and back of the house people are what keeps a successful restaurant going. If these people are not taken care of, they have to eventually go else where to take care of themselves. The management has figured out that quality people cannot be easily replaced and they make sure that the amazing staff is taken care of. Kudos!!!!!“

“I can honestly say I think I’ve found the chick-fil-a customer service outside of chick-fil-a! I was greeted and seated soon as I walked in. My server was super respectful and waited until I finished my zoom call. Desmond was knowledgeable of everything on the menu and suggested some delicious meals. Food was order and delivered less than maybe 5-7 mins. I received everything I needed without having to ask. Refills were brought to my table at the perfect time. I can’t wait to visit again. Even the playlist was top tier. I highly recommend 10/10!“

“Great, fresh salads and friendly service.
I always get the greek or hummus salad with chicken.
The pitas are always warm, slightly crunchy outer with fluffy soft inner...yummm.. Chicken is very flavorful, tomatoes always rich red. I want to try their other offerings but the salad is so good i never try anything else. The service is very courteous and they ask you if you need anything at your table even though it isnt a sit down and serve you style place. Great place!“

“It’s my first time eating here and I loved the food. I had egg and cheese omelets, home fries, bacon, and a fish patty. It was all very good. The staff were friendly and the I liked the atmosphere of the cafeteria. The only con I can think of is that I live so far away. I stopped by here on the way to a doctor’s appointment and I’m glad I did. I apologize for posting a photo of a partially eaten breakfast but I was enjoying this meal before I thought to take a picture.“
