“Delicious tapas style dining, hard to go wrong with anything! The spicy pork buns were something special. Got there when they opened at 5 and easy seating at bar, but place filled up pretty quickly - I recommend making reservations. Will be back for sure!Parking: Easy walking distance from large parking garage (across from Carolina Theater)“
“Very cool place. Great food. Food was out quickly and tasted great. There are QR codes at each table you scan to order your food. Place is really big, too, with lots of places to eat. They have a beer hall, coffee shop, and an outdoor dining area that has a really cool atmosphere. 10/10“
“Dined in while visiting from Charlotte on a Saturday night. I had previously dined at M Sushi and was hoping to get a table there but there were no reservations available, so I put my name on the waiting list next door at M Kokko and I'm glad I did. It can be a long wait so expect a long wait for a table because M Kokko does not take reservations. After a 45+ minute wait my girlfriend and I were brought to our table (one of just a handful - realistically I think they can shoehorn about 25-ish people inside) and ordered some drinks. The menu is small and it's literally on the wall, so after deliberating for a couple minutes I ordered the ramen (opted for spicy) and she ordered the Biang Biang noodles and pork buns for an appetizer. The drinks came out after we put our food order in and the pork buns followed almost immediately after (quick service). Hands down the best pork bun I have ever crammed in my face. Previously living in Southern California and spending considerable amount of time in San Francisco I thought I knew how good a pork bun could be, but apparently I was wrong. M Kokko's pork buns would win in a battle royale tournament of buns. Get them. Don't pass them up.About ten minutes later the ramen and Biang Biang noodles arrived and again, super impressed. You can get ramen anywhere. Ramen restaurants are everywhere these days and I would go as far to say that most are just middle of the road and good enough for when you're craving a hot bowl, but the ramen here at M Kokko is top tier deliciousness. I used the large metal spoon (ladle?) and slurped down all of the broth once the noodles and other solids were gone. Ramen is not spicy, but you can get it spicy (I think it's chili oil) and if you're unsure, you can ask to have the oil on the side so you don't have to commit.Biang Biand noodles - I had a severe case of entre envy. Spicy, oily, tangy, crunchy little bits of shallots. I spent the entire time stealing noodles from her bowl. I'm ordering this next time I'm in town and I'm ordering extra to take to my hotel room for a late night snack.Overall, food is on point. I'm definitely coming back to try the other items since there is only eight items on the menu. The space is quaint. Looks almost like M Sushi turned and old office or closet into a casual dining spot - it's small inside. Long wait on weekends, but oh well, good things are worth the wait. Use the time to grab a drink around the corner.“
“WOW this place was incredible. We had the Korean Beef bulgogi roll which was deep friend. The gentleman there mentioned we should we get the sweet soy sauce and spicy mayo to dip the roll in, the was some of the best advice ever! The service here was great, super friendly staff. The prices were a tad high, not sure if that because we were at the State Fair or if that's normal. We'll be back!“
“Love this place for some rapid fast and dank Korean BBQ bowls. Kinda like chipotle with the style of service/food presentation but double the quantity and double the speed of getting the food to you. Was some super dank stuff, a little more pricey than a typical chipotle chicken bowl though. Nicely cooked and delicious kimchi. This place definitely hit the spot, but if you’re looking for spicy, even the spiciest items here are tolerable to a non-spicy tolerant person. Should definitely amp up the spice level on the spice dishes.“
“This is actually a review, really (I no longer trust American reviews)I'm Korean, and usually when I order pork belly in the U.S., the quality is poor or the taste is a little less delicious, but this is a really good restaurant even when I go to Korea. In fact, when I go to other restaurants, I read reviews and get completely screwed, so I don't trust the reviews. It was... This time, I looked at the pictures in the review, compared the quality compared to other places, and went and ate it after reading the reviews mainly from Koreans. The meat, stir-fried tripe, and especially soybean paste stew are amazingly delicious when you go to a Korean pork belly restaurant, right? It tastes just like that. It's really delicious. This isn't my part-time job, and I'm not someone who writes reviews for money. Seriously, I don't write reviews often in Korea either because I'm too lazy, but I don't trust and get annoyed by American reviews, so I'm writing this review out of excitement when I see a restaurant like this. It's really delicious.Totally recommended!!Is it because the review said the lady was unfriendly? I went there and it's not that I was unfriendly, but you know how Korean ladies work comfortably, right? You seem so kind... When we talk to you, you are kind and talk to us.It's been a while since I had a hard time finding stir-fried pork tripe here, but it was delicious and really good. Thank you. I'll go eat it again later.“
“I found someplace I'm going to order from over and over again! All of the food I tried was really good! I ordered a Build Your Own Box. Chickpeas, noodles, curry potatoes, fried tofu, tomatoes, and teriyaki sauce. The smell was weird, but the flavor was amazing. I also grabbed the mac and cheese egg rolls. I recommend tossing them into your air fryer and then dipping them in your favorite cheese sauce!Mom got something called a katsu box, which she is still raving about days later! She also got deep fried chicken cutlets that she loved and Beef dumplings! I highly recommend this restaurant!“
“my favorite korean fried chicken place in the area! we frequent here and the hmart location very often. the sizes of their chicken are plentiful compared to other places. we enjoy every flavor even as leftovers, it’s still so delicious. highly recommend their spicy soy garlic chicken!“
“Omggg!!!!!? First time eating Korean food and they did NOT disappoint?….I loved it I ordered the cheesy noodles(asked for spicy noodles..they accommodated my request perfectly) and vegetable fried dumpling (ordered 2 my daughter is 3 and ate all 8?)and it was sooo good….I can’t wait to try other items on the menu. Oh and service was great!!! Very polite great energy ??? 10/10. THANK YOUUU!!!!!“
“Grabbed some wings and dumplings for lunch. The wings are spectacular. Perfectly crisp, sweet, savory....a total home run! The dumplings were good but the dipping sauce was a little salty, I like it a little sweeter. Bonus for the free sample of kimchi, really nice!“
