“The donuts were delicious, had no problem with the food. But the price was crazy, because on the menu you have 12.50 for assorted donuts, when I was rung up the total came up to almost 18 dollars, that is a pretty big jump from 12.50. The lady at the register acted as if she had an attitude as well. They also charge almost 3 or 4 dollars if you use your card and your order is under 5 dollars, that is outrageous.“
“A Rise Above: Charming Breakfast Haven with Unique PerspectivesNestled snugly in the heart of Durham, Rise presents itself as a delightful breakfast nook with an unmistakable charm. As a frequenter of breakfast joints, I was drawn to Rise by the promise of freshly baked biscuits and a cozy atmosphere. My experience was marked by a mix of pleasant surprises and intriguing observations. While some might find this initially surprising or even disconcerting, I found it added an unexpected layer of charm to the atmosphere. Rather than feeling out of place, I quickly embraced the novelty of being surrounded by individuals of varying heights. It provided a refreshing change of pace from the usual dining experience. Now, onto the main event: the biscuits. Oh, how they exceeded my expectations! Fresh out of the oven, these golden delights were flaky, buttery, and simply irresistible. Paired with a generous dollop of jam, they were the epitome of comfort food. Each bite was a delightful symphony of flavors, leaving me longing for more long after the last crumb had disappeared. In terms of service, Rise truly shines. Despite the unusual sight of shorter patrons, the staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating. From refilling my coffee to ensuring my meal arrived promptly, their professionalism and warmth did not go unnoticed. While Rise may offer a unique perspective on the world, it's important to note that its appeal lies not only in its clientele but also in its exceptional cuisine and stellar service. Though the sight of shorter individuals may initially catch you off guard, I urge you to embrace the experience with an open mind. After all, isn't variety the spice of life?Overall, I would rate my experience at Rise a solid 4 out of 5 stars. With its delectable biscuits, inviting ambiance, and friendly staff, it's a breakfast spot that's well worth a visit, regardless of your height.“
“My skepticism of biscuits flaked away the moment I tasted the biscuit, fried chicken, pickle sammy. It was worth the wait. I am a sauce lover and thought I should have ordered extra ranch, but everything was balanced perfectly. Hot honey drizzle bumped it to my #1 spot for a chicken sandwich. Also really loved the option to sit outside at the picnic tables and enjoy fresh air on a beautiful spring day.Dietary restrictions: My friend doesn’t eat dairy and the person taking the order checked with the cook to make sure everything would fit her dietary needs.Kid-friendliness: A bunch of little ones were happily playing outside in the picnic table area while parents could take a breather or socialize. Seemed like a very safe environment.“
“Words cannot express how phenomenal a person Sowadi is at Early Bird Donuts. We had recently received troubling medical news about my father and we wanted to buy doughnuts for the nurses that have been taking care of him. The doughnuts looked very delicious and smelled outstanding. Sowadi did something extremely thoughtful and went above and beyond to make our day. Thankyou so much Sowadi for providing optimal customer service and showing a kind heart.“
“This Rise location is best for takeout due to lack of dine in space. Otherwise, the quality of the biscuits and service from employees is great. I ordered online and arrived earlier than scheduled. It seemed quiet in this branch so the employees prepared my two biscuit order and handed it over soon after I arrived.Parking: It's in a shopping center so parking close to Rise would depend on day and time of day. It's easiest weekday mornings.“
“The donuts are so good and they have so many different kinds there is something for everyone there(unless you don't like donuts).the people are usually super nice and always super helpful in helping us pick.and the place is great super clean and you can watch the donuts be made its perfect For a treat for the whole family.“
“My go to place for doughnuts and ESPECIALLY apple fritters. They have the best apple fritters I have ever tasted and they are the main reason I go here. The fritters are also pretty large.Their glazed doughnuts are also very good, but I save my calories for the fritters.I always take my order to go, but they do have some fast food type of seating available if you want to "eat in".My experience is that the sell out of fritters by 10:30 to 11:30. They only stay open until they sell all of their stock for the day.Parking: It is in a strip mall and I have always gotten a spot within about 80 meters to the door. It seems like the other near by stores are not active in the morning.“
