Great spot for a delicious coffee and a curated book selection! Love the area for littles to play :)
The drinks were great! We are very excited to have a locally owned coffee shop (and book store as a plus!) around the corner from our house!
Such a cute place!! They have a great selection of books and even a kids corner! The coffee and treats were delicious as well! Everyone is so friendly! I highly recommend!!!

Daughters Coffee and Books is a cozy hideaway in South Durham, located in an unassuming shopping center. It is a nice quiet place to sit and enjoy good coffee and pastries, with plenty of seating and a lovely selection of books. The shop features expertly curated displays of diverse books, including Black History Month and LGBTQ+ titles, with genres ranging from kids’ lit to adult fiction. They also offer cute themed non-alcoholic beverages, local baked goods, and sell cute notebooks and other trinkets. The staff is always super nice, kind, and wonderful to talk to. The atmosphere is great, with lighting that isn’t too bright and immaculate vibes. The kids area has a few toys and seats. While some folks were standing to drink due to limited seating, the overall experience is excellent. Easy parking is available. Daughters is truly a gem, and customers would certainly go back again.
