“Super delicious dinner with wine pairing. Truffle Aranchini, Poached Shrimp, lettuce and Treviso salad and the chocolate & pistachio dessert were my highlights. I really liked the vermouth they paired with the dessert at the end.
The restaurant itself is lowlight and ambient. No loud music in the back. It was great for conversation.
The servers were super nice and knowledgeable. Like very friendly! That said, we were in a private room and it was a bit rushed on the clearing of the plates, etc. I am not picky, but I know some people are. Or another small thing, water replenishment could have been more frequent.
Menu is great. I was really happy with the food. Especially the things they do to the vegetables, woohoo!! The broccoli and mushrooms were a huge hit for me. I thought the pork was too fatty for my liking, but it was tasty and it was nice with the Pinot noir. Halibut was really good and apparently it’s a long time menu item.
God I was IMPRESSED with the salad. It had so much depth and dimension. A vegetarian could eat happily here.
They switch up the menus and items often. Something to look forward to!

“Lovely French bistro with inside and outdoor seating. The food was quite delicious and not your standard fare. Our server was exceptional - wish I could remember his name. Gave 4 for atmosphere because the seats are not comfortable for a long leisurely meal.”
“great service and best Italian I've had since leaving Chicago. among my top 3 meals ever!”

“Glad we tried this restaurant. It was the 1st we tried upon arriving at Chapel Hill.
1st, it was difficult to figure out parking. There is metered parking on the street or on the parking lot behind the building.
2nd, the entrance to the restaurant was confusing. The way we entered was on the side and it felt like a storage or the dumpster. Later we learned a better entrance in between buildings leading to a courtyard with access to multiple businesses including Vimalas.
Plenty of seating is available outside and inside. When we arrived, there was a band playing outside.
Lastly, once we looked at the menu, we learned we had to scan the QRCODE on the table to place the order and pay. That's great for some, but for for me it doesn't work.
The food was good. We had vegan and gluten-free free pakoras, dosa masala and kofta curry. The pakoras felt oily, but everything else was good. The portions were a good amount.
Overall I am glad for the options available for those with dietary restrictions.

“Very nice indoor dining, clean and spacious. Very reasonable prices.”
“Food was incredible and the staff were friendly and helpful! Will definitely be going back!”

“Some of the absolute best food around! Merritt’s has now become out “go-to” place for pregame foot before all Tar Heel events! Best burgers/BLTs/pimento cheese/soup and everything else you can think of anywhere around!!! Cannot go wrong with a stop into Merritt’s!”
“My first visit to Monterrey Chapel Hill was incredible! Antonio was our waiter and he was fantastic!! He made several recommendations, helped substitute sides, and met all our needs (and wants!) with speed! We will absolutely be back and asking for him by name!!”
“The Med Deli has been a favorite of ours for many years. Our first experience with their catering service only reinforced our love for the place. Liz Coughlin was especially helpful in arranging our order and delivery. Can't wait for the place to reopen at their original location later this year!
Vegetarian options: Huge array of delicious nonmeat options, from salads to appetizers, to main dishes.
Kid-friendliness: Casual, open dining area, lots of choices, friendly staff
Wheelchair accessibility: All on one floor with double-door access.”

“My husband and I visited Momo's Master for the first time this evening and had a wonderful experience. We tried Steamed Momo's with veggie filling served with 2 of their signature dipping sauces, and Himalayan Fried Rice (vegetarian). It was great to see the option for both masala tea and coffee on the menu, especially in a downtown Chapel Hill restaurant, therefore we had to try both Himalayan Masala Tea and Himalayan Coffee, and we were glad that we did. I usually do not write reviews but when the food is that good, I do. The momos were one of the best we have had so far and the flavors of both the signature sauces blended well with that of momos. Himalayan fried rice was hot, spicy and very good. The Punjabi guy, Sukhi, and Usha (from Nepal) - both chefs, were great; Sukhi came and asked us how everything was and ensured that it was to our liking. Both Himalayan Masala Tea and Himalayan coffee tasted good, especially Himalayan Masala Tea was really good. The place has a nice, comfortable ambiance. We look forward to visiting the restaurant again and enjoying the food in near future. Highly recommend.”
“Fantastic healthy meal choices and a hot and cold drink selection that helps you power through any task.”
“My partner and I recently moved to the area and were looking for a good bakery. When we saw the pictures of the desserts, we knew we had to try it. The homemade babka is on the same tier as Zabar's or Green's! We will definitely order from here again!”
“The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, and it’s reasonably priced. Highly recommend!”
“Chef Chuck has outdone himself! Dined at Market and Moss with a girlfriend on Wednesday, July 3rd, and it was a fantastic experience. The patio felt like you were at a Paris bistro, adding a lovely ambiance to the evening. Our server was incredibly attentive and made an excellent suggestion of the Lettuce Wraps, which had the perfect flavors and texture for a hot summer night. We also enjoyed the Burrata & Prosciutto and the Lamb Merguez Flatbread, both of which were delicious.
To celebrate the end of the July 4th weekend, my boyfriend and I had brunch here. The pulled pork eggs benedict was outstanding - the eggs were poached perfectly! And their prime rib French dip sandwich had just the right amount of sweet and tang from the horseradish.
5-stars! We'll be back!”

“Wonderful setting for cats while they’re waiting for their forever families. My daughter commented “they might not want to be adopted after living here!”.”
“Aside from the amazing staff/ownership, the outstanding beer selection and great food consider the fact that they have received 10 consecutive inspection scores of 100.0 which is unheard of! That matters! Think about the last time the tap line was cleaned at your current choice of bar or restaurant. Tap lines are nasty if not maintained. On any given day at TCP you will see them cleaning the line when they change a keg. If you have not seen this at your current top choice you may want to think about what's in your glass. It is not pretty! Oh, and the tap lines are not inspected. TCP does this because it's the right thing to do!!”
“Without a doubt one if the finest restaurants in the Triangle. With great food and service, this classy spot always makes me happy!”
“Visited for the first time tonight and we will definitely be back. Right off the bat, the employees were friendly, professional, and accommodating. Our water glasses stayed full and our cocktails were delicious. The food was phenomenal—appetizer, entrées, and dessert. The presentation was lovely and the taste was divine. The Whipped Feta & Fig Crostinis were a surprise hit! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Red Cream Paneer Curry and I couldn’t get enough of the Tagliatelle Pasta Alfredo with Wild Mushrooms and Shiitake Bacon. The ice cream sundae was great, too! It was my first time tasting non-dairy ice cream that actually tastes good! Given the quality and care taken to provide vegan food that is THIS tasty, I think the pricing is fair, especially when compared to other local cafés/bistros/restaurants in the area. Casual, kid-friendly atmosphere, but still nice enough for a date night. Can’t wait to come back!”
“Great location looking over busy and fun street in Chapel Hill Uni neighborhood.Always fun to be there.Great to tryout all different fresh brewed beers.Service staff are friendly and fast.Food always brings satisfaction to our tummy.Great place to visit .( Did I said “Great” 3 times ) Yes I did.”
“Great culturally appropriate decor especially in a small shopping center and fast service for lunch. The Thai iced tea was very good and the small salad with the green possibly mint base dressing was the best dressing I've ever had. My friend had the Pad See Ew which he liked very much and I had the Pad Gra Pow which tasted great and had the perfect amount of spicy heat. Both plates were nice and hot when they arrived at the table.”
“Overall a positive but patchy experience. My wife and I visited 9/21 and she had the mussels appetizer and the truffel pasta. I has the pork belly appetizer, a second appetizer of carpaccio tuna and then also truffle pasta. My pork belly was really delicious, crispy with a very flavorful sauce (A+), my tuna was an odd light brown color, not the usual red, and had almost no flavor, just onion and capers (B-). The mussels were good but rather mundane (B+) while the pasta was really good (A). The waiter was very friendly but messed up twice. Firstly he brought both my appetizers at once, even though I had SPECIFICALLY requested they be brought sequentially. Secondly. my wife ordered the appetizer portion of pasta and I said I would have the same, but he brought me the full 8 oz portion but her the 4oz. So overall mixed. We might try again in the future”
“Great food excellent service Fresh ingredients”
“Bin 54 is the perfect place for Special dinners AND weekly dinners. The food is always prepared to perfection and presentation/plates looks delicious! The bar tenders are excellent at their craft. The have an extensive wine cellar. The opulent ambience is warm and welcoming”
“Wonderful evening with the family - great food, service and ambiance! We arrived around 6:45 and it was not too busy, though it definitely got busier later. Our server Pietra was delightful, knowledgeable and made great recommendations. The manager came by and checked on us a few times and joked around, which we also appreciated. The lighting and decor was nice and the booth was comfortable. The bathrooms were clean, though the water in the ladies room was hot, so be careful washing hands.
I had the lemon drop mojito and my husband had the twist on old southern- both of which were great. We had the ahi tuna tower and Philly cheesesteak rolls for appetizers - a hit. Then we had the bistro chicken (the capers added a delightful flavor), Nola grilled shrimp (nicely cooked and flavored) and ribeye steak with au gratin potatoes (medium rare was done right). We were so full at the end of our main meal that we didn’t get to try the desserts, but we will be back for sure given the lovely evening we had tonight!”
“My favorite place to eat when I’m in town. Jared is the absolute sweetest soul and a phenomenal attentive server! Everything I’ve eaten there has been delicious!”

“When I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and was sick for an extended period of time I was kind of at a loss of what to feed myself and my family. A lot of my go to recipes were off the table for me. I’m so glad this company makes delicious food that fit well with our needs.”
“This is the best southern home cooking I have had in a long time! The biscuits are so big and fluffy, the fried chicken and veggies were perfect. And the customer service from the owner was amazing! I highly recommend this place!”

“Ordered takeout several times now. Food has been consistently high quality, fair portions, and packaged well. Good service when picking up, friendly people that work there.
Have only peeked into the dining area but it looked very clean and inviting.
Highly recommend overall for takeout, especially if you’re looking for authentic Chinese food. This ranks towards the top of Chinese restaurants I’ve been to - and I’ve been to a lot ?”

“Karen was an amazing server! The food is great and the atmosphere is amazing.”
“Had the BEST FOOD. The owner and staff are so friendly. We go back as often as possible even when we lived in Florida. Family lives in Chapel Hill and it’s our go to place for great food when we are there.”
“My favorite place to eat when I’m in town. Jared is the absolute sweetest soul and a phenomenal attentive server! Everything I’ve eaten there has been delicious!”
“The New Hope Market is a half hour from our home, but we go several times a month. Excellent food, which we can take home or eat there. So many delicious to-go items/salads and great daily specials (today’s Korean fried chicken sandwich was amazing, as was the potato corn soup). And the desserts are out of this world, changing daily, with tons of variety. My favorite local eatery.”
“I had never heard of Tonya's bakery before but I attended a birthday celebration for a dear friend this past Friday and the dessert table was filled with straight-up deliciousness from Tanya's. When I saw those pecan crisp cookies, I didn't know what they were, but I could tell just from their appearance they were going to be good and OMG! That first bite did not disappoint!! When I got home I scoured the internet looking for a recipe that sounded like what those cookies tasted like. I made a batch of a recipe I found and while they were good, they were not anything close to how tasty Tonya's pecan crisp cookies were. Today, I happened to go to their website & I was absolutely delighted to find those cookies could be ordered & shipped to my home & I did not hesitate & ordered them so fast!! Now that will be one package that I can't wait to receive. My husband thought her mini pecan pies were delicious, too, and I did manage to get a bite of one of the 2 he devoured. He didn't lie, they too were delightful. I rarely get to the Chapel Hill area nowadays but I might have to take a day trip to Chapel Hill so I can look at all she has to offer & buy a couple (or several dozen lol!) of her treats. All that to say this, 10/10 recommend ♡”
“Very tasty burgers at a reasonable price. They have a variety of dipping sauces to choose from. Tasty options for vegetarians. Very fast service even at peak hour.”
“The people make this place really special and the food is wonderful. Peaceful and pretty, this is a spot you won’t want to pass up on. It’s an absolute must!”
“Our experience with their dishes has always been good as it was again last night (manicotti and lasagne). It was pleasant eating outside as part of the dine-in option. And the service was excellent, as always. Oh, and don't forget the desserts. This time we had the limoncello cake.”
“Great food. Warm, friendly atmosphere! Wonderful selection.”
“Always so beautiful and accessible to the Bolin creek trail!”
“Experienced attentive service with good food. Ramen bowls are large and the smoothie was great”

“I love visiting this Caribou! Everyone there is so friendly and they always make my drink right. I typically mobile order, but sometimes I like to bring my laptop and work there for a few hours. The tables are always clean and the environment is so positive.”
“I love CFA in general but the staff here are always super friendly. It’s always kept clean! #cfacanes”
“Went there for the 1st time today with friends we had been going to MacD's for breakfast once a week but the new high melanin mgr has destroyed it! 2 weeks in a row they had NO drinks thats right no drinks except water and orange juice so it was time to move on. Well I want to thank the new high melanin mgr because Sunshine is head above what they ever were so thanks for running us off we found a REAL GOOD place to have breakfast! The biscuits are large and very good so eat here forget the others in the area this is the place.”
“im sorry about my cousin Addison Pacheco. saying: "Overall, mid. We drove 40 minutes for soggy chicken, a dry slice of bread. The fries were okay, ps they charge an extra 39 cents for suace, if you asked me McDonald’s sweet and sour sauce is better. Wouldn’t recommend and not at all worth all the hype." she is off her medication and i had a completely different experience. it was absolutely amazing, and the food was top tier, in my opinion.”
“I needed to place a big order for a meeting and everything turned out wonderfully. The Store Manager, Carla, was extremely patient while helping me decide on which sandwiches to get and what to put on them. The team member, Evan, was also very nice. I called the morning that I was going to pick them up and he told me that they just finished packaging up my order. When I came, I was in and out! I will def go back in the future!”
“For a Starbucks inside of a Harris Teeter, this one delivers. It’s not the full Starbucks experience of a standalone, and there is no drive through, but I don’t really expect that from a location like this. One thing to note is that the mobile orders can really stack up at peak times. That said they crank them out.
Parking: It’s a bit lite for a shopping center like this in this area, but I’ve never had a problem getting a spot.
Wheelchair accessibility: It is not very wheelchair friendly. I’m not a user, so I have no actual experience, but the doorways are narrow and not easy to access and the inside is tight and often cramped with people waiting for mobile orders.”
“Glad there open later !! Ran in for a snack and got my meal on time !!! Thanks for having a police presence there too !!!”
“Delicious Smoothies & Great Service!! Can’t Wait to Return Soon for Lunch!!!”
“Bin 54 is the perfect place for Special dinners AND weekly dinners. The food is always prepared to perfection and presentation/plates looks delicious! The bar tenders are excellent at their craft. The have an extensive wine cellar. The opulent ambience is warm and welcoming”
“Perfect place to celebrate my Mom’s 75th Birthday. All around great experience. Gabriel was an amazing server, and the staff were friendly and helpful!”

“Excellent experience all around. Both cocktails were delicious (and large!). My boyfriend got the Painkiller and I got the Bourbon Bramble. The atmosphere is unbeatable, it feels like a cozy hole in the wall tavern. Long live The Crunkleton!”
“My daughter got married at University Presbyterian Church on Franklin Street and was looking for a convenient (within walking distance) place to have a casual "Southern Tea" prior to the rehearsal. We reached out to 1922, who was willing to accommodate us, and started the planning. It turned out REALLY well! Better than we had envisioned it.
We worked with Irmak, who was wonderful! She shared our excitement and worked hard to make it what we wanted. We brought in simple flowers for the tables and our own plates, napkins, and decor for the serving table. The southern pick ups of deviled eggs, chicken and waffles, pimento cheese fritters, and bltas were plentiful and delicious!
The set up worked really well for sitting at the tables and/or for mingling. It was so much fun - a great way to start the wedding weekend festivities.”
“Best bar I have ever been to in my life, you feel like part of an instant family here!”
“100% delicious; 100% sanitary rating; very clean restrooms, made to order specialties. Couldn't have been more pleased with selections. Their green sauce is HOT, but the yelllow one is more mellow. We WILL be back!”
“Good food and menu. some items overly salted. Most items are delicious. Need cornbread on the menu, hush puppies too dense and hard. Fish, cabbage and mashed potatoes are so good. Owner formerly worked at K and W so hurry on over and get your old menu favorites. He is very nice and accomodating, open to suggestions.”
“One of the best run JM's, great teamwork. Great subs.”
“I found this place to be very cozy with a creative menu and lovely cocktails. The bartender was super accommodating-I wanted a French Martini but they didn’t have Chambourd, so he used their house made blackberry syrup. Together, we created a delicious new cocktail! I got the beet salad and tofu skewers and both were delicious! Check them out!”
“Enjoyed perfectly fried oysters and house salad paired with sparkling Rose. You should run not walk and have same!”
“Such a cute coffee shop on Franklin Street! There's a lot of space inside to do work or chat with friends. I got a lavender iced latte, which I thought tasted great. It's also the same price for any size drink! The barista was also very nice and helped me pick out coffee beans.”
“Great local area hang out. TVs with soccer are available. Large tables for board games. Digital pour has live draft beer list online and on site. Untappd list is also available and updated. Great diverse draft beer selection along with refrigerated can and bottles. Diverse beer selection.”
“We waiting for like 5 minutes for employees to come from the back but otherwise the service was quick. Glad to get some healthier options on Franklin! I got the pesto Caesar bowl and the person I was with got the Balboa bowl. Both of them were really good. The portions are pretty big so I was able to split mine across two meals, which is pretty good for a college student.”
“Coffee tastes good, prices are great, and they have a lot of vegan options like pastries and savory food in the cold case from Gaia’s kitchen! As of September 2022, not allowing reusable mugs.”
“While in town for a show @ Cat's Cradle, I stumbled across this establishment stuck in time. Eclectic UNC team photos and alumni adorn the walls and ceiling. A large assortment of soda and odds and ends can be found before entering a diner style area with an obscure pharmacy in the rear. The biscuits were good and the coffee was not bad. Service was above par, but the restrooms are dated and a bit cramped. A must stop for the UNC fan.”
“Since I moved to Chapel Hill, Lucha Tigre has been my favorite restaurant. Their service and quality can’t be denied, but I am so upset that the Asian Glazed Chicken (my favorite dish) has been removed from the menu.”
“Love this place. You can order all the amazing food "The pig" has to offer plus a delicious full bar! Dexter was my bartender and helped pic the perfect drink. Can't get enough of their home-made pickles!!”
“As someone who comes here everyday cuz this is the closet place to eat during my break, they make the rest of my day go easy like any day should and anyone who says otherwise just has bad taste.”

“I had brunch with my family today at Mama Dips in Chapel Hill. We were greeted by the warm and friendly manager who took us to a premier table. They quickly set up a high chair for my Grand Daughter. The food was delicious, fresh and perfectly cooked. I will be back with my family next time we are CH.”

“Jalen served up our delicious plates and broils with grace and friendly attention. The bourbon glaed salmon was cooked to.perfection. Being a Marylander, I was delighted and impressed to learn that the crabcakes come from Maryland. My husband truly enjoyed his. I hope other greens in addition to green beans will be added to the menu. We will definitely return the next time we are in the triangle area.”
“Great sandwich for lunch -PMT- prosciutto mozzarella tomato on the best bread I’ve tasted in Chapel Hill in 40+ years. Or at least as i remember 40 yrs of bread. And came with a salad that was also very good -a cut way above most house salads that most restaurants serve. Will look forward to coming back for the dinner choices plus an appropriate wine which I could not partake of at lunch due to having to work on a ladder in the afternoon. Can you say cannoli for dessert!”

“I love the food, vegetarian and gluten free options, and service! Having been to multiple snooze locations I will admit when they first opened and when many of these reviews are from they were a bit slow but I think any brand new location may experience that. Having been multiple times during the past few months they are now fully up to the snooze standard.”
“I am in town and really wanted to eat healthy. This place was close and the young man who wanted on me was very helpful. I told him I had never been there before so he explained all my options. The proportions were reasonable, but probably for a grown man it might not be enough. I actually didn’t put any protein on my bowl because I’m a vegetarian so this was a great option for me. The flavor was wonderful. I think it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in a long time. They could keep the bar a little more cleaned up and the avocado was bad so I asked him to give me a fresh avocado which she did without any complaints . I will go back here and eat, and I think the prices are reasonable as well. Just needs a little your observation to the details around the restaurant. Keeping everything fresh is really important us to setting like this. I love it!”

“Overall a solid option that is close to the heart of Chapel Hill. Nice that they had some albeit limited parking. Only bit of feedback is that it feels a bit worn...dirty back steps, kitchen floors and menus.”
“Es un lugar increíble, el servio fue rápido y atento. El lugar es limpio y muy llamativo en el interior, cuenta con sitios para tomarse fotos.”
“Great all you can eat Sushi. We were quickly seated and our food was delivered to our table promptly. Quality is good for all you can eat. Will come again.”
“Always so beautiful and accessible to the Bolin creek trail!”
“Big fan of their sushi menu! Especially the BOGO and half off online deals you can’t beat! Haven’t really explored their other menu options, but will say the dumplings and drunken noodles are another great option. I love the convenience, kindness, and solid sushi this place provides!”
“Our server, Edwin, provided excellent service and was timely and attentive. the food was delicious! Cant wait to go back.”
