“Since this location opened up, ive been able to get my daily fix before work. Great people, great atmosphere!!! But there's something special about Tre, and the way he makes every coffee cup with love. You can see it in the way he prepares it, the presentation, and taste it soon as you take that first sip.

“I am a student at UNC-Chapel Hill and I come to the Starbucks at East Gate every single day, if not twice a day, to study. I am a coffee addict and switch up my Starbucks purchase every day. I purchased a white chocolate mocha that tasted like a hot coffee with frothed milk. I spoke with Whitney who was super friendly and immediately remade my drink. The remade drink tasted exactly the way it was supposed to taste. Whitney's professionalism and customer service were on point. After all, when you spend 5 dollars on a coffee it needs to taste like what you ordered and Whitney understood that! Go visit Whitney for a friendly and enjoyable experience and an awesome coffee!“

“For a Starbucks inside of a Harris Teeter, this one delivers. It’s not the full Starbucks experience of a standalone, and there is no drive through, but I don’t really expect that from a location like this. One thing to note is that the mobile orders can really stack up at peak times. That said they crank them out.
Parking: It’s a bit lite for a shopping center like this in this area, but I’ve never had a problem getting a spot.
Wheelchair accessibility: It is not very wheelchair friendly. I’m not a user, so I have no actual experience, but the doorways are narrow and not easy to access and the inside is tight and often cramped with people waiting for mobile orders.“
“I ordered my coffee and they wrote it down and everything it was completely wrong and I was busy and couldn’t come back at the time so I came back later and they told me basically that because I was was busy and didn’t come back right that they could do nothing about it and I spent 7 dollars and change for something I didn’t like and wasn’t my mistake“
“This Starbucks was packed on a Wednesday afternoon. So many college kids with their headphones and laptops writing their memoirs they hope will be turned into Broadway plays one day, or whatever.
The coffee was perfect and the restroom was clean.“
“The baristas here genuinely deserve an award, my drinks are so consistent and worth the money compared to other Starbucks in the area. I would have never thought my go to Starbucks would be in a Harris teeter, but I’m in love with every drink this one makes“
“This Starbucks is phenomenal !!! The staff are beyond welcoming and they always bring the jokes that make me laugh. They light up my day and honestly they are the best Starbucks fam I’ve ever seen. The ladies (and gents occasionally) that work here definitely deserve high praise. Lots of love to this Starbucks family!!!!?“
“On the night of the UNC-Duke game, February 7th, this Starbucks on Franklin Street showed my family a kindness I will never forget. My husband became separated from us in the post-game crowds. I tracked him via Find My iPhone and found him through the window — hunched over, his blood sugar dangerously low. The staff had already noticed he didn't look right, let him in, and given him water before I even arrived. The employee at the door let me in immediately when I explained who he was. While I went back out into the chaos to find our daughter, the team kept watch.
They were handling one of the most intense nights Franklin Street sees all year — thousands of people flooding the street after a big UNC win — and yet they were calm, warm, and genuinely caring. They may not have realized how serious his situation could have become, but their instinct to look after a stranger made all the difference.
These are exactly the kind of people you hope to encounter when things go sideways. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏“
