“I first tried Dampf BBQ many years ago when they were still out at the fairgrounds, and I can honestly say it has remained the best and most consistent barbecue I’ve had both in this state and across the country. I’ve traveled extensively during my military career, which has given me the chance to try some truly great barbecue spots nationwide. Even with all that experience, Dampf BBQ is still my number one. The meat is always incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and cooked with the kind of care you can taste in every bite. Beyond the food, the people here make the experience even better. This is a dedicated, family-owned, local business that clearly takes pride in what they do. I’ve seen comments about wait times and pricing, but in my opinion, anything truly good is worth waiting for, and anything made with real quality is worth paying for. I drive an hour just to get this barbecue, and I’ve never once been disappointed. It’s consistently excellent, every single time. If you’re on the fence… don’t be. It’s 100% worth the trip. “The food was great, service once seated was quick, and the waitress was so nice. I got avocado toast, but the side of grits and the biscuit with apple butter were the stars of the show. The wait was pretty long and there wasn't really anywhere to keep place in line except outside and our names weren't taken down. We had a few new arrivals seated before us by just walking in at the right time. It was a little expensive and also none of the salt shakers worked properly. I would say get what they are known for ( grits and biscuits ) and don't stray too far from the beaten path and you'll have a great experience!“

Sit on steps or bring a blanket to sit on on the grass field so kids can run and play and admire the cows in the pasture. A great place to be with friends and family to enjoy the best farm fresh ice cream made on site with milk from the NC State dairy.“

The appetizer table was not only displayed beautifully, it was YUMMY! The salad, main entrees and dessert did not disappoint. But most of all, the staff was most kind and extremely professional. The atmosphere of a restaurant can be great (this one is), the food can be great (it's pretty darned good), but a good server (she definately is) ties it all together into an experience that leaves an impression and the want to return.“

“Recently a friend introduced me to the Oak and I was impressed well beyond my expectations. The drinks and the food are all top notch. Lots of places have “good bar food” but that’s not the case here, they have custom eats not “bar food”. There’s nothing we ordered that have us scraping up the crumbs. Justin the bartender is particularly knowledgeable and friendly, he’s a sharp guy who is eager to please and quick to serve, we never had to flag him down or ask for help, he was on the spot the whole time! I’ll be back for client lunches and meet ups for sure!“

“Great place to stop when walking around Downtown Cary. Parking is of course somewhat difficult to find at times - there are spaces behind the building, where from there you can just walk around.

Taste has always been amazing every time I have been. Service is friendly, and the wait is not long. Probably my favorite milkshake spot in all of NC.“

The daily fish specials are amazing - well balanced flavors and unique ingredients w a lovely presentation. My wife had the steak frites most recently and loved it!! I’m not a matcha enthusiast or connoisseur in any way, shape, or form, but this place has the best matcha I’ve ever tried by FAR!
