“If you are planning a special occasion or just want a night out at a wonderful restaurant, I have a bit of advice for you. Go to Chef Palette! This establishment has got it together. The atmosphere is just lovely. We planned our son and future daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner from afar, way far.....Michigan. As stressful as that could have been, Kathie did everything to ease our stress. She calmed this Momma's heart and executed everything to a "T". The appetizer table was not only displayed beautifully, it was YUMMY! The salad, main entrees and dessert did not disappoint. But most of all, the staff was most kind and extremely professional. We cannot thank Kathie and the staff at Chef Palette enough for the wonderful and memorable evening we shared together. GO TO CHEF's PALETTE!“

“We drive almost an hour to Willow oak farm because it’s that good! The barnyard buddies class is so nice, my daughters look forward to it every week. The two teachers are amazing and great with the kids. And there is so much to do after class we end up staying the rest of the day! There’s an outdoor playground, indoor playground, ice cream, and farm animals. We just had my daughters birthday party here as well and everyone had a blast.“

They is inside space to sit and enjoy your ice cream choice. There is a wonderful lawn and a great wrap around porch with rocking chairs to sit and enjoy as you over look the fields. We enjoyed our ice cream. The pink milkshake is the student of the month creation called the Giddy up Shake, the bowl is the flavor of the month Carmel Coffee Gato and the other milkshake is a cookie dough and cookies and cream milkshake.“

“I stopped by this place on a random drive day, and I’m glad I did so. Amazing Mexican food, and fresh juices. Their tacos and burritos are way above your $$$ restaurant experience. The lady running this place is polite and courteous. Beautiful location too.“

“We have been wanting to visit The Blind Pelican for a while, and finally took the plunge for my husband’s birthday. This trip will absolutely not be our last. The place was packed on a Tuesday night (it’s not a huge space, especially in the winter when outside seating isn’t available, so plan accordingly). Our wait time was exactly what the hostess promised, and service was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. All staff were phenomenal and checked on us while we were waiting as well as once we were seated. The staff aren’t overly attentive, which we love (they checked on us enough to be helpful but otherwise just let us enjoy our meal). We obviously HAD to try the crazy fun bloody mary’s. They were delicious - exceptional bloody mary’s, and all of the food on top was perfectly cooked and a joy to eat. I had the Taco Tuesday special - lobster tacos with a mango salsa that made me do a happy dance, and my husband had the steak and scallops. Everything was so good and worth the price, in my opinion. Quality seafood can be pricey in central NC, but worth it! The bloody mary’s are obviously a novelty item - but the quality was so outstanding that I would actually order one again (which is saying a lot as I figured it would be a one and done). I can’t wait to go back and try all of the other items on their menu - including some fun drinks & apps we didn’t have room to try this time. If you’re on the fence, just go! You will be glad you did!“

“My only go to coffee place. I love all the different combinations you can make. Though my favorite is the Peanut Butter Huckleberry Latte. ❤️ It is pure perfection. Nonnie is my favorite go to Barista, and she makes my drinks perfectly every single time. She is so welcoming, friendly and puts a smile on my face every time I see her. She remembers my husband's order when we come in, and then puts up with my build your own drinks when I want to switch things up. 🤣 I love coming here, makes you feel like your in a small town with how friendly/welcoming they are. LOVE this place!“

“This is one of the coziest scenes I have experienced here in North Carolina. I've lived here for aomost 5 years! The people and the vibe are extremely relaxed. Such a chill place with great beer( I am not a beer drinker bit I really like theirs!!!) “My family lives within walking distance and I walk with the kids here quite often. They have such a huge variety of flavors for their shaved ice, and they also serve ice cream. The ice is so soft and, IMO, way better than snow cones because the flavor distributes through the shaved ice instead of just dripping over the ice and settling in the bottom. The teens working ate always so polite as well. Great place for anyone to enjoy some great flavored ice when its nice and hot!“

“We had a wonderful morning at Java Jive. We got breakfast pastries, coffee, and iced tea and spent a few hours working. It did get a bit noisy with a few groups meeting and talking, but that is not abnormal for coffee shops. It is relatively small, with small tables for 2 people and a single round table that seats up to 4. The coffee and pastry was good, and they have art for sale on the walls.“

“I decided to try some hibachi here tonight, and it was wonderful! The staff was very friendly, and they greeted me with a smile. I had the hibachi salmon. I added a side of fried rice and a side of jumbo shrimp. I placed a to-go order at the counter.

You can watch the chef preparing food by looking through a window near the register. The ingredients look fresh and delicious. It may have taken around 10 minutes to receive the order, although I didn't pay attention to the clock.

This was our second visit, and it was just as impressive as the first time we came with family. The quality of the food really stands out. I had the New York strip which was excellent and easily one of the best steaks I’ve had, second only to my wife’s steak. The atmosphere is consistently inviting, with well-balanced lighting and calming music that makes it perfect for a relaxed evening out. The staff is friendly, attentive, and contributes to the overall great experience. Dessert and coffee were also highlights and a perfect way to end the meal. We’ll definitely be making this our regular date night spot and look forward to coming back again.“

We get home, He starts eating and it is not the same AT ALL!! I called the location to let them know and ask if I could bring mine back and get the correct order. After looking up the order, we realized my son ordered his food wrong. I apologized, told them don’t worry about it that it was our own fault. They said absolutely not. “I had a fantastic experience at La Farm, I was treated well and offered fantastic service from Stevie. The baked goods we purchased were fantastic, and everyone that had something agreed. You’re not bopping in to a grocery store bakery for a cellophane wrapped loaf of bread, you’re shopping at an artisan bakery - so set that expectation for yourself - but I thought prices were entirely reasonable. “Picked up a Chicago Style pizza that was excellent (I’m from Chicago). It’s the only one I’ve tried since moving to NC that even comes close to the deep dish deliciousness. In addition your Bada Shrimp and Cesar dressing are really good.“
