Super delicious panini sandwich shop which a lovely outdoor seating area in the middle of downtown Durham. Good, quick service even during lunch time rush. Great selections of paninis. Staff were super nice. Loved the pesto chicken panini. Solid crunch on the bread without being over-toasted. Toast toasts to perfection.
Kelli and Billy have been operating Toast for 16 years!!! That should tell you enough. Sandwiches & soups are seasonal so you can always find something new. Great for a lunch meeting or consider them for an office order......it will not disappoint!!! This is a no brainer for a lunch stop in downtown Durham.

Everything at Toast is DELICIOUS!! As an industry member myself, I appreciate their changing menu, seasonality, freshness, and originality, all while keeping the prices surprisingly low. These days, it seems like I can't get a good lunch for under $18. At toast, I can get 2 delicious crostinis, a soup, and a drink from $10-$12.
