“Close quarters seating, but it wasn't uncomfortable. Got the lasagna. Y'all, you must know that it's not really lasagna. It's a bowl with a few noodles, some small meatballs and pepperoni underneath about a pound of melted cheese. It is so cheesy and gooey that you must actually eat it carefully to avoid choking! That said, it was delicious and indulgent, and I will order it every time I go there. ?Finished the meal off with the Haw River Mud dessert, which was way too much and just enough at the same time.Later visit: Got the footlong beef hot dog with chili. This dog is probably an inch and a half in diameter and weighs about 2 pounds. It's a serious proposition, and it's got a great grilled flavor. The chili was good too. Got a bowl of ice cream for dessert. It was wonderful and came in an old-timey metal serving bowl. Even though it was only a single scoop, it was about the size of a softball, so take that into account.“

“We already know the breakfast is to quote my 7 year old "Bussing Bussing" but today when i bit into that well seasoned scorching hot catfish a tear slide down my eye. Who Granny do you have back there cooking?!!! I will be back tomorrow, to order it again and don't judge me if i bring a couple slices of bread to make me a little sandwhich- Mind your business. Now the country fried steak was a bit bland but after i doctored it up with some hot sauce and seasonings I'd order it again with some brown gravy and maybe some rice. The sweet tea has just the right amount diabetes that i personally am a fan of, 10 out of 10. See yall tomorrow- we're like kin now.“

“We stopped here for an early dinner on a Saturday evening. Ambience was nice, nothing special but clean and nicely done. We ordered the hot biscuits for the table and the kids enjoyed it. Their draft beer were good (tried the brown ale and the wheat beer). We had the flounder and the wanchese pompret, both were fresh fish and tasted great. The side dishes, presentation and taste were great. Especially the combination of vegetables, the butternut squash purée with the way the pompret was grilled as awesome ! Service was very attentive and courteous. Overall we enjoyed our experience here and will come again. The fact that their menu keeps changing is an added bonus to come and try new dishes.“

“Went to Tacos Paraiso for the first time tonight after wanting to try them out for weeks. I got the fajita nachos and they were fantastic! The chicken was really nicely cooked and seasoned and I loved the abundance of peppers and onions. I also tried the green and red salsa- both were good, but the red was my favorite (it's spicy, y'all!). Looking forward to coming back this weekend and trying more things on their menu.“

The Fearrington House Inn American
240 Market St, Pittsboro

“I've been interested in staying/dining at Fearrington for quite some time, so I was glad to finally have done it. I had the standard King room, with a view of the gardens, so that was nice. The king bed and sheets were soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was nicely done. They have a heating rack for towels, so that was a neat touch. I could see where this hotel really shines, in the Spring and Fall. The restaurant is great for the setting, atmosphere and presentation of the dishes. Funny enough, my favorite dish from here was the blueberry pancakes for breakfast. Those were the best blueberry pancakes I have ever had. The size and quality of the blueberries really stood out.Food & drinks: The restaurant is great for the setting, atmosphere and presentation of the dishes. “Allen & Son's knows what it's doing -- no frills, simple menu, and incredible barbecue. We got the barbecue plate with barbecue pork, hush puppies, fries, and baked beans. The bean was classic NC vinegar BBQ - succulent and delicious. The hush puppies had a touch of sweetness. The beans were were appropriately sweet and complemented the vinegary flavor of the meat.“
