“Stopped in Saturday at noon at opening. Purchased a tour/tasting on Groupon. Spent almost an hour there viewing the barrel room and the bottling cave. Rob was our host and was very knowledgeable about all processes. He is truly an asset to the company. The tasting was great and made a few purchases after that. Excellent time spent there.“
“I've been interested in staying/dining at Fearrington for quite some time, so I was glad to finally have done it. I had the standard King room, with a view of the gardens, so that was nice. The king bed and sheets were soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was nicely done. They have a heating rack for towels, so that was a neat touch. I could see where this hotel really shines, in the Spring and Fall. The restaurant is great for the setting, atmosphere and presentation of the dishes. Funny enough, my favorite dish from here was the blueberry pancakes for breakfast. Those were the best blueberry pancakes I have ever had. “Food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. Perfect place for a special occasion. We shared the venison as main dish. Mushrooms & broccoli as extra sides. Compliments to the chef! The only suggestion I have is to indicate on the menu that you will need to select a side with your main course. Perfection! We will be back.“
“I have been coming here since they opened as a member’s only club and I will say it’s by far one of the most consistently great places I have been here in NC. The food is always delicious, the menu is small and curated so every item is really good.One of my favorite items is the little biscuits, fancy ham & truffle cheese. I don’t like ham as a rule but I came here with someone who wanted to try it and I am so glad we did. Now I like ham, just has to be ham at the beagle!The fried chicken is delicious, the meatballs are moist, flavorful and satisfying. No plates are too big so you can order a few things to have a range of flavors. The drinks are always spot on and the service is fast and accommodating.Tonight I stopped in for a burger and it was so good I didn’t even get a pic before I dug in. Perfectly cooked on a potato bun with red onion and cheddar cheese, it’s the backyard burger you wish your dad made. Then I had the raspberry, pistachio & mascarpone cream trifle. I paused long enough to photograph it.Come into this charming spot and feel like a local, order a drink and get some apps, make a friend at the bar or go hide at a table in the back either way you won’t be sorry.Luckily I have pics from other visits here because the food is so good and beautiful.“
