I've been a few times to get drinks and just chat it up with the staff while on break. But tonight I had the Assorted Arepas, polenta cakes with pork, chicken, jackfruit, and brisket. Absolutely amazing. I also got a mocktail cuz I was still technically "on the job", a ginger ale concoction that was wonderful. The restaurant has the feel of being part of the neighborhood for years, but from what I gather of my new friends at Luna, it's only been around since 2020. Needless to say, being new to the area it's nice to make new friends and find a new place to be wined and dined. Definitely will be back soon for food, drinks, and new friendships!“

“We were looking for a new bar to try in Carrboro and saw B-Tribe on Yelp, and we're glad we did. The entrance is very unassuming, almost hidden behind an Italian restaurant on the south end of Car Mill Mall. The place is quite small, with about five tables, and maybe 12 seats at the bar. We sat at the bar as we only wanted drinks and snack. Christian, the bartender, greeted us right away and brought food and drink menus. He explained the specials and took our drink orders. My companion found an interesting Greek white wine, and I asked for a boulevardier, my go-to cocktail for a new place. The wine was to her liking, and the cocktail was about the best example I've had in recent memory. Christian used Woodford Reserve bourbon and Campari rather than Aperol so it had a slightly less bitter taste and was a lovely auburn color. The food menu was very interesting, with lots of items we've never tried. We ordered caesar salad with anchovies, green beans in garlic-soup sauce, panella (a chick-pea and cream cheese dish), and seasoned French fries. It was all yummy and delivered together. The service we got really couldn't have been much better: attentive without hovering. The food and drink quality was outstanding, and we thought the prices were very reasonable for what we got. In short, thanks Christian, and we'll be back.“
“Excellent food. Probably one of the best eggs Benedict we’ve had. Good ingredients and great flavor. The service was questionable. I think we just wound up with the slow waiter. The other service staff seemed to be working harder. It took about 10 minutes for the waiter to first stop by our table. We were actually tempted to leave, as the restaurant was not busy and had many open tables. But once our food was ordered it came out relatively fast. Finally, we had to wait a while again for our waiter to get the check and pay. Other than the slow waiter, it was a great experience.“
“Had a great meal at Tandem! My friend and I treated ourselves to a nice dinner here on a Sunday night. I made a reservation for 6:30pm for 2, but I don't think it was needed since the restaurant had little people when we got there. The interior inside is very industrial, with lots of wooden features (like the floor, chairs, tabletops) and string lights hanging from the ceiling. The walls were brick, and it had great big industrial windows which provided great natural lighting. The service was fine, but nothing over the top. I ordered the 72 hour short rib, and my friend got the salmon. It was delicious. It came in a Le Creuset pot with mashed potatoes and assorted veggies on the side. Stunning presentation, and might I say, those pots are expensive, and they have multiple of them. But I guess it was worth the investment because it looked really nice. The beef was super juicy and tender. High quality melt-in-your-mouth beef. And they don't shy away from the portion. It looked like a fat square block. But it was genuinely glistening in the light. The mashed potatoes were just alright for me. They had a strong flavor that I can't pinpoint - maybe too much cheese? They also put mint on the mashed potatoes and beef, which was quite a surprise, but I don't think I prefer it. The veggies were a nice touch with the beef. Overall, great experience and amazing food. I definitely would come back for another nice dinner!“
“I’ll echo what’s been said here - food was superb - however, please consider adding more detailed English descriptions to the menu, it won’t make it any less “authentic” it will just make ordering way less tedious for patrons and the waitstaff (our server tried her best to explain what an Amari was and left us more confused than when we started)“

“The food is delicious! Everything! We ordered chorizo queso and it was so good we ordered another one. The chips and salsa are too good! We had the birria quesadilla with consume and it was top tier!! Steak fajita quesadilla with rice very good and the kids chicken quesadilla with fries. Next time we will skip the fries because the rice is so flavorful! We recommend and will absolutely return! Staff was friendly and works quickly!“

“We had the chefs tasting menu. It was phenomenal over all. However, there were two stand outs. They were the crispy sea scallop and the iberica pork. The scallop was very tender yet had deliciously crispy edges. The pork was incredible. I'm not sure if I would have identified as pork if I hadn't known what it was. “Excellent cocktail bar and den of spirits here in Chaple Hil NC. The Bartenders are knowledgeable about craft and spirits. The experience was solid. I had the Painkiller and it's good. Very solid and tasty I wouldn't say it's the best Painkiller I've ever had but I also couldn't say it wasn't the best. I'm not sure I'm sold on the vibe here. I think the music was very lacking in connectivity as far as inspiring a clientele. However I dig the jazzy vibe so it's hard to doc for that. I think ky experience is marred by how much this particular concept was hyped up to me. But all in all I def would say this is a whiskey lovers paradise and if your in town for a night or two this place 100% has your bourbon/whiskey/cocktail fix and that's an Ocean guarantee ?. Come hang out have a drink and see what the vibes are. Hopefully I'm not blowing smoke up your crunkleton.Parking: It's free if you know where to go. Personally I like parking near carborro and taking a short stroll up the street to the crunkleton. It let's me take a stroll back to struggle on home responsibly.“
“I've been interested in staying/dining at Fearrington for quite some time, so I was glad to finally have done it. I had the standard King room, with a view of the gardens, so that was nice. The king bed and sheets were soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was nicely done. They have a heating rack for towels, so that was a neat touch. I could see where this hotel really shines, in the Spring and Fall. The restaurant is great for the setting, atmosphere and presentation of the dishes. Funny enough, my favorite dish from here was the blueberry pancakes for breakfast. Those were the best blueberry pancakes I have ever had. “This was my first experience at bartaco. The food, service and atmosphere were all delightful!! Barbara at the bar was friendly and informative! Prices are decent. I brought some home to share and after a 45 minute drive back to Fuquay-Varina, the food was still delicious even reheated!!! I will definitely return to this spot after every Aveda class I attend “
“This is a go-to place for my wife and I on date night. It's small and intimate, and has a great cocktail menu. My wife likes the Bee's Knees. I usually go for a beer or two from their carefully curated draft list. They've got a nice outdoor space, and you can order food that is delivered to you from The Pig, which is amazing! We recommend a plate of BBQ Nachos. There is, maybe, no better bar food in existence.“
“This was my second time to La Montaña and both times I've had a Great experience. For this experience, I called ahead and spoke to one of the hostesses to see if they could make their Diablo dish non-spicy since I wanted to bring my best friend for her birthday and knew she would love it, but she doesn't eat spicy food. When I called, the hostess was So Sweet. She took down my number, called the owner / chef to see if they could do it for us, called me back with a "Yes" AND made a note about it in our reservation. So A+++ to her and the chef for their kindness, flexibility and wonderful customer care. When we arrived, all the staff were welcoming and helpful. Then came our Curry Shrimp dishes; The Diablo (the normal spicy version) and The Angel (as our funny and very attentive waiter Colby (?) referred to the non-spicy version as). We were both in heaven. This is really the most delicious and flavorful curry sauce we've ever had. It's served with rice and this thick, delicious sourdough bread, and dipping the rice or the bread in the sauce are both different and equally delicious experiences. We both enjoyed a glass of the Cabernet, which was perfect. Lastly, we liked the feel and lighting of the restaurant and were especially touched by the story on the back of the menu about the restaurant's inception. Thank you La Montaña! We will be back!“
