Music was authentic mixed with some club tunes. I enjoyed myself and made new friends. Very open and welcoming group. Look forward to the next time. This place is close to Cat's Cradle and The Hampton Inn. “Just had a GREAT meal at 401 Main! I got the buttermilk fried shrimp and the side of the day, which was roasted broccoli in an Asian glaze. The shrimp were humongous, tender, and flavorful, and there were TEN in the order. The broccoli was also addictively delicious. Service (aka Wayne) was outstanding as well, very friendly and kindhearted. Can't wait to sit on the patio with my dogs to hear live music once the weather warms up!“

“We were looking for a new bar to try in Carrboro and saw B-Tribe on Yelp, and we're glad we did. The entrance is very unassuming, almost hidden behind an Italian restaurant on the south end of Car Mill Mall. The place is quite small, with about five tables, and maybe 12 seats at the bar. We sat at the bar as we only wanted drinks and snack. Christian, the bartender, greeted us right away and brought food and drink menus. He explained the specials and took our drink orders. My companion found an interesting Greek white wine, and I asked for a boulevardier, my go-to cocktail for a new place. The wine was to her liking, and the cocktail was about the best example I've had in recent memory. Christian used Woodford Reserve bourbon and Campari rather than Aperol so it had a slightly less bitter taste and was a lovely auburn color. The food menu was very interesting, with lots of items we've never tried. We ordered caesar salad with anchovies, green beans in garlic-soup sauce, panella (a chick-pea and cream cheese dish), and seasoned French fries. It was all yummy and delivered together. The service we got really couldn't have been much better: attentive without hovering. The food and drink quality was outstanding, and we thought the prices were very reasonable for what we got. In short, thanks Christian, and we'll be back.“
“The Baxter is a magical place. A little black hole that will suck you into this town and keep you locked in it's unique atmosphere for months (It did for me!). There's always a solid crowd and the games are fun. Bartenders are genuine people who will be endlessly friendly and real, and keep the place fun and positive. I will never forget the little place. I hope it's around when I float through town next time.“

“Classic place with great vibes. It's a popular spot with locals, so it can get a bit crowded on a Friday or Saturday night, but it's not bad. The drinks are very reasonably priced, and mixed drinks are always done well.The outside back patio can be unpleasant if you don't like to smoke cigarettes.“
“We popped in after a hike. Beer was good. Atmosphere nice. And we just tried the humus and it was so good! Best I’ve had. Then we eyed someone who ordered their special kale chips. And they gave them to us as I think they were ordering them for marketing pictures. They were awesome. So bottom line: nice brew pub with good food and not too expensive! Good experience overall !“
“Great spot. Loved it. I had a Whiskey paloma and it was solid. Next I had a paper airplane. It's a really good vibe and all of the drinks were crafted very much at a higher level. I was at the owners were there so have some time I have a conversation with them and they were super nice and friendly. Let us walk around the entire shop and answer all questions and total some history. It's a college vibe but not an undergrad vibe if that makes any sense. You may see some grass students or whatever the case may be, but you wouldn't find a bunch of 19-year-olds piled up in this kind of spot.It used to be small apparently but they expanded it out to a back room and an attic kind of situation. It seems like a attic kickback kind of spot. Really homish or something you will find in a living room. It made it on the top list of speakeasies on Yelp so I had to check it out while I was in the area. I would 100% recommend.“
