“Pan seared salmon was excellent and fried Brussels sprouts were wonderful. My husband had the fried oysters and homemade potato chips. They were excellent. The fish burger had a generous slab of fish and it looked delicious. The others had burgers and said they were very good.“

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and tranquility that made us feel right at home. Lori, one of the owners offered us delightful, welcome glasses of wine. After which the three of us went to dinner and had the pleasure of having Lori‘s daughter Mahalee join us. Our room was beautifully decorated blending, classic elegance with modern comforts. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a restful night sleep, and the room was impeccably clean. There were thoughtful amenities, including a selection of tasty teas and coffees. Our breakfast of quiche, bacon, fresh fruit and toast was a culinary delight and the service provided by Morgan at this meal was excellent. The Burke Manor and is perfect for a relaxing getaway and we can’t wait to return. Lunch at Saint Jacques was an extraordinary experience that transported us to the heart of France. The restaurant’s charming ambience was a perfect balance of sophistication and coziness. The service of the knowledgeable server David was perfect and his expertise in suggestions for wine enhanced the overall lunch experience. The menu at Saint Jacques is a celebration of French artistry and the dessert selection was very impressive. We look forward to our next visit to this culinary gym! Ann and Martha“

“Local hometown/neighborhood bar. Owners are involved and active and treat everyone like family. ALL are welcome! Lots of fun events such as Dart night, Karaoke, Live music, food events. Prices are WELL below average. Great selection of beer and liquor. They have cigars and snacks but local food is allowed and encouraged. They are active in the downtown scene and support their fellow small businesses owners.“

“We were visiting my niece at Elon and we decided to try out this restaurant.
Being from New England/NY where we have amazing Italian restaurants, our expectations were honestly not very high for eating Italian in the South.
But this restaurant, staff, and owner far exceeded our expectations!
The owner personally came around to each table-(he is from NY!) checked in, poured water, etc, making sure everyone was happy. Our waiter Christian was absolutely amazing!!
Super nice, friendly, funny, with great recommendations and attentive service.
The food was fantastic!
From the drinks to our meals (pasta, chicken, pumpkin ravioli!) to the yummy cookie butter cheesecake-everything was delicious, and very reasonably priced.
It was a great experience from start to finish and we will absolutely be back again.

“Went there with my grandson. We played on the snooker table. Atmosphere is laid back with good background music not too loud, and the Ladies behind the bar are "Johnny on the spot."
