“I’m struggling on what to say in this review because I’m in an amazing food coma!!The food exceeded our expectations! The service was respectfully slow. They checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was satisfactory, but gave us space to enjoy our dinner. We went for dinner, but they also provide lunch service, which I can’t wait to try!!“
“Thanks Tina and Mike for accommodating us despite the packed reservations!Really appreciate it. We thoroughly relished the food ,right from the drinks to dessert every thing was phenomenal.Last but not the least the AMBIENCE is so CHIC and QUIRKY.Loved it“
“Fabulous service at the bartop. Roy's recommendations were impeccable and considerate of dietary restrictions. The food was outstanding and wine pairings complemented well. Highly recommend sourcing from the starters and sides to get the most variety, unless you wish to commit to the steak or full entree. Oysters and acorn squash were a great combo. I appreciated the ability to do a GF dessert (elevated ice cream sundae!) to top off the night. Thank you!!“
“First time there after hearing about it for months. Had the bartender Ray who was super professional, funny, and held a great conversation!! He was really informative about the drinks you order! talked about video games with my boyfriend and I and mentioned the bars gaming nights - we will for sure come back and attend! I ordered the booyah and a custom drink. Tasted amazing and I highly recc!“
“Nothing beats a passionate chef. Tonight was my first experience, and it's only the beginning! The staff was amazing and did not make me feel rushed. 5-star plus. I've never been to a restaurant where all the mussels were open and full of flavor until Northside Bistro. It was impressive and absolutely delicious, and they also serve some of the best cocktails I've ever had!“
“My wife and I celebrated her birthday with dinner at Cortez last night. Overall it was a great experience! The only nit would be we waited 10-15 mins after being seated for our waitress to stop by. The rest of the night more than made up for it.We ordered oysters, several small plates and shared the taco plate. The food was delicious and delivered at a good cadence, so we were not inundated with plates all at once. The food was prepared perfectly, tasty and fresh. As I put a note in our reservation that it was my wife's birthday, they kindly provided a free champagne toast and a churro with ice cream dessert with a candle. My wife was thrilled!!This was our second time dinning at Cortez, and both times the meals were excellent. We are looking forward to our next visit!“
“The best tacos I've ever eaten peroiod. I really don't see how they can get any better. Every different one I've tried is above any I've had from other places and I've eaten a substantial amount of tacos in my lifetime. They do need to put a pedestrian crossing sign at the one in Raleigh. That curve and the front door is a recipe for a bad accident waiting to happen.“
“This place is so incredible, I don't know where to begin. I went in for lunch today and sat at a table in Mia's section. I was having some trouble deciding on what I wanted to do food wise, but I never felt rushed or in the way. My table was under a skylight and when Mia saw me squinting, she, completely unprompted, moved me over a table so I could get out of the sun. I started with the roasted cauliflower, which was awesome--I really loved the spicy aioli. I'm not usually a whiskey person, but when I saw the rack of assorted bitters, I decided to get an old fashioned and it did not disappoint. The beer I had was excellent as well. For my entree, I finally decided on the chicken sandwich with fries. Since it was not quite time for the fryer (they were at the tail end of brunch), Mia gave me the option of waiting so I could get fries. I was in no hurry and needed some time to digest my cauliflower, so I did. They were definitely worth the wait!! I like to have aioli with fries, so I ordered a side of herb aioli. Noticing this, Mia brought me some of their beet ranch for my fries as well, which was also quite flavorful. (I ended up rotating between the herb aioli and the ranch.) Since I was full of cauliflower, the super tasty chicken sandwich, and the incredible fries, I had to take my pot de creme dessert to-go, which Mia comped for me because of my fortitude for waiting for the crispy hot fries. I mean, who does that? I don't come to Raleigh often, but I've definitely found my new favorite place and my new favorite server. Hands down, the best service I've ever had in a restaurant.“
“Great vibe! Mixologist Jefferson skillfully guided our craft cocktail selections. Impressive knowledge, real ingredients. At his recommendation we grabbed a couple of slices (authentic NY pizza) from Oakwood Pizza Box next door, that did not disappoint!“
“I do not like Indian food. Having said this, the food here is amazing! Of particular note are the cocktails with the bubbles on top. I went with an Indian friend who ordered everything. The naan was incredible and so many different ones to try. The scallops, salmon, and lamb were also wonderful. Everything looked so beautiful that I actually took photos. I have no idea why people didn't love this restaurant.“
“I love the burgers here at Burger Village. There is something special about them that makes you come back again and again. The Burgers here are not ordinary but at a different level altogether. I would highly recommend this place. They also have a good collection of the draft beer.“
“Great selection and variety of drinks from light beers and ciders to wines, cocktails, and stouts. Very chill place to grab a drink and hang out. A couple bar tabletop games and arcade machines to choose from as well. Clean area and friendly staff. Will definitely be back!Parking: Big parking garage in short walking distance.“
“Best quality shrimp I have ever had in my long time in Raleigh. Very helpful and friendly staff who care about getting your order correct. I had requested to have a certain ingredient removed from a dish, and since that was not possible for that specific dish they immediately called me and helped me switch my order to a similar(and delicious) alternative dish without any hassle and without me having to place another order. They proactively refunded the difference of dish price for my order without me even having to ask. I was only picking up but I also noticed they have a nice bar with TVs as well as a pleasant atmosphere.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of delicious pescatarian options“
“Our core sounder oysters were really good and a bonus at the happy hour price. The snapper ceviche is my absolute favorite dish in the Triangle. And as always, our bartender Nick was the best! He's super knowledgeable, friendly, and always fun to talk to. We will be back soon.“
“Honestly one of the best whiskey bars I’ve ever experienced. They have tons of barrel picks and allocated bourbons. Best of all the bartenders are extremely knowledgeable, personable, and make some of the most magnificent cocktails I’ve ever had. Prices are fair and best of all it’s a relatively quiet, peaceful bar tucked away in a quieter part of Raleigh. 12/10 recommend!“
“We had a wonderful time here, it almost feels like you know a little secret when you first show the bouncer your ID an d start walking down stairs. The drinks are perfect, and the vibes are so laid back. There a couple of rooms that feel more secluded, booths for more space, but primarily mostly couches to keep that chill energy while you sip on an amazing drink and catch up with your people, or even do some work like I did. Highly recommend Watts & Ward!“
“I almost don't want to review Gallo Pelon because it's such a hidden gem that I want to keep secret. Upstairs from a different Mexican restaurant (same owners? Shared kitchen? No idea!). - Great ambience, bar, table seating, and this adorable courtyard with string lights. Would be a dope first date spot. - food is delish! Small menu but plenty of options for vegetarians too! - drinks are on point. If you love Mezcal, this is your place - so many options and cocktails. If you don't love Mezcal but love tequila - this is still your place! - service is good, the food comes up from downstairs in a little foot elevator in the wall behind the bar“
“This place is IT! The drinks were some of the most well-balanced cocktails we've ever had. But the absolutely best was the service from Serena. She is the best bartender in the triangle and makes the visit to Dram worth it! Ensure to try one of her mystery “
“We dropped by on a chilly February night. This cocktail bar had a huge line, and it took at least 30 minutes for us to get in. The drinks were all super interesting - gin and jam is their specialty and unique. We tried their smores sundae dessert which was super super sweet (not for those who don't like sweets). The torced marshmallow donut ring with the ice cream were amazing - but I personally found the brownie too sweet. Service was great! A great cocktail spot - would I go back - probably not because I wasn't blown away by any of the cocktails. But it was still a good time.“
“My type of ominous basement cocktail bar. It was tucked away off the sidewalk down some stairs, illuminated by the red Foundation light.Dimly lit stone/brick walls with some awesome local artwork throughout. Hefty selection of bottles. I was striking out with too-sweet cocktails throughout my road trip and finally caught a strong old fashioned! The bartender nailed it. Add it to you late night craft cocktail stop.“
“First and foremost let me say thank you for the very gracious military discount. I didn't even get discounts like that from the military itself lol. Okay now the food. So many great pizza choices, he salad bar is pretty large for a pizza place, the pasta is always fresh, and they even have ribs and chicken most of the time I go. I wonder if this is a Pizza Buffet or just a potluck diner hiding in plain site? So many amazing options. My only beef is I feel like Milton's is keeping me chubby lol I go in saying just 2 plates and I'm out. 8 plates later.......... Oh and I always crave them on Mondays when they are closed. I feel like we need a few more Miltons in the area.“
“Bru's is an awesome neighborhood spot and I enjoy living right around the corner and being able to walk here. The food and beer selection is phenomenal. It does get busy during Carolina Hurricanes and NC State games but if you're willing to brave the crowd, it is worth it for the exciting atmosphere.“
“Connor our server and bartender was very professional and attentive. He also made great cocktails ?!! I very much enjoyed a perfectly dirty gin martini while my husband enjoyed the Clockwork old fashion. The falafel tacos were very delicious!! We will be returning often.“
“Great food and atmosphere especially for special occasions like birthdays! The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly! It is quite expensive so it's a place you can only go every once in a while. The food was great and I've eaten at many nice restaurants.“
“Best customer service I had in a long time. Brianna was a great server, ask for her. My friend and I went on a Wednesday evening, it was busy but comfortable. They had a live artist. The art all over the walls create a really nice vibe. The kitchen was a little slow but nothing too serious considering the crowd. The drinks aren’t worth the price but the food… amazing. A week later and I’m still thinking about the peach cobbler. Will definitely be back.“
“Come for the great service! Stay for the entertainment! The whole place is such an amazing vibe. Sink into a couch, lounge in an armchair, sit as a group at a table, meander at the bar ... and then there's an outdoor patio!!! There are books & games on the shelves but in most cases, live entertainment of various kinds throughout the week. Small eats menu (I haven't had them yet but the meatballs, when sitting in front of someone three feet away had the best smell!) & lots of drink options.“
“Lakeside Kitchen is a very nice restaurant with a romantic feel about it. The food was really good and the service was just good. My only issue was finding it‼️ it is so tucked away. There is a beautiful view of the lake and lots of lovely spots to take photos if you like. Great outdoor seating for spring and summer. I look forward to going back‼️“
“We went there to find a place to relax on thanksgiving and was greeted by the wonderful owner and patrons. With amazing food, drinks and atmosphere, this is the kind of small business bar that will flourish in raleigh. Truly a gift to the area.“
“We came out to hear the Magic Pipers Band. Had a fantastic time. The music had the crowd dancing and all seemed to enjoy themselves.I am posting in part because I saw a super weirdo couple working on a one star review. They were seated at a table for four and did not want to share the open seats. We were thrilled they finally left. Those who visit here know it is the friendliest vibe anywhere and this couple did not fit.OMalleys certainly does not deserve their negative feedback. You should definitely come out.And this weirdo couple should stay home.“
“I loved the black garlic; it was great with the roasted vegetables and spaghetti squash main. We made a reservation online an hour before, and there was no wait with plenty of seating available; the staff was able to answer a quick question or two about the menu and the food arrived at the table in short order. Plating, pacing, and service hit the mark and after a long day out it was just the thing.“
“Holy phenomenal pho! Amy and her team have done a wonderful job curating every part of this restaurant and bar, right down to the music. Arrived a bit before they opened and was still welcomed at the bar to wait til they were ready for their Monday. Ordered the normal sliced rare beef I always enjoy when I get to have pho. Learned about Amy and her journey to this location on their menu while I waited. As the menu perfectly stated ‘it takes hours to make and seconds to enjoy.’ I could have inhaled it within seconds. I’m normally ok with leaving a cup or two of broth behind when I’m done but I had to take it home with me for my drive back. I wish I didn’t have a 3 hour drive home so I could have stayed for a drink.“
“So this bar is not the fanciest but the bartender's and crowd are like a fun dysfunctional family! The bartender's are knowledgeable and when you come in it is like being at your best friend's house. Go and enjoy, you're welcome“
“Awesome spot!!! Ambience was excellent, bartender Geneva was warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. Small spot, need to make reservations. Drinks were a little on the price twice but we’ll worth it! We got 2 of their homemade creations. Will def come back again!“
“This place was great! We came on a Sunday night and the bartender was friendly and nice. He was attentive, and made recommendations. As for the location, it’s well kept with plenty of space. The drinks themselves were amazing, with a wide selection to choose from. Fairly priced as well though it can be tricky not to get carried away so be cautious.A nice touch I noticed was that the bathrooms contained mints and mouthwash for one to freshen up. All in all, it was a nice experience and I’ll def be back again.“
“We actually went to the speakeasy inside The Architect (Greenlight). Private, good-looking bar with solid drinks and fair prices. The only problem: really small!!! There are very few tables, so reservations would be a godsend. No food, so eat something before.Luckily, you'll find parking somewhere nearby (we had to walk a few blocks).“
“This place was in walking distance of our hotel and had a variety of food in the menu. I got the meatloaf and though I don't like mushrooms the gravy was really really good so I just picked around them. You get a decent amount of food and the potatoes were delicious. I also got a Moscow mule and it was made perfectly. My server was very attentive and made sure to also give me time to enjoy my meal. Seating is decent in the inside and they also have outdoor seating.“
“I recently heard about The Mill from one of my recruiter friends. So, a couple of girlfriends and I went to check it out. Immediately we were impressed with the ascetic and ambiance. Our waitress, Marissa, was super nice and helpful. She was able to offer suggestions and her descriptions made our mouth water. So, two of us ordered the Wood-fried Pork Chop and my other friend ordered the Mill Burger. We also had the Maple Bourbon Old Fashioned. When our plates arrived, they were very appealing; we couldn’t wait to dig in. The pork chops were paired with blue cheese mac + cheese and rapini (it’s like a broccolini). I wasn’t too sure about the Mac as I’m not a blue cheese fan, but it was really nice… the sauce was subtle and not pungent as one would think. For me, it was actually the best part of the meal. The pork chop, for me left a lot to be desired. While it was a rather large chop, about four fingers, it wasn’t seasoned well and as we got closer to the bone, it was undercooked to raw in some places.A gentleman came over to check on us, this was before we really got into the meal and I shared my thoughts on the chop being under seasoned as well as my misconception on the apple agrodolce which was on top of the chop. How it was explained, I expected a sauce, not applesauce, but something a bit more thick and less liquidy. He took our notes and thanked us.When our waitress came back to check on us, we had made our way through the meal and the unfortunate undercooked meat. We also explained our discontent with what was left. She explained about the cut and the cook-time etc then sent for the manager. He,in turn, came over and did more explaining, while apologizing, and made it right. All in all, I would definitely got back for drinks as they were on point. And I’d definitely get an order of that blue cheese mac.**note that they are working on a new menu with a new chef and the the four finger chop will not be a part of that new menu. The new menu is expected with the next week.“
“I found a recommendation for Farina on a Reddit post about Italian restaurants in Raleigh and I am so glad I decided to try it! The food was beyond wonderful with amazing portions and our server, Rachel I. was just as splendid. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our experience and I will definitely recommend Farina to everyone!“
“Everything is a ten! The restaurant gives me Cali vibes in the South! Special thanks to the bartender Allayne for always making the best drinks and her wonderful service! Get the chicken and ask for Allayne at the bar she never disappoints!“
