“While visiting Raleigh, we decided to order from Oakwood Pizza Box, and it did not disappoint. The pizza was outstanding—perfectly blistered crust, fresh mozzarella, bright tomato sauce, and basil that tasted incredibly fresh. Every bite had that authentic, wood-fired flavor that pizza lovers look for.

The quality of the ingredients really shines through, and the balance of sauce, cheese, and crust was spot on. Even as visitors, we can see why this place has such a great reputation.

We felt welcomed and cared for plus she was very attentive and anticipated our needs like bringing us refills without us asking her and she consistently checked in on us to make sure everything was to our liking. Wanted to like it, but it wasn’t great. Too much dough and it was undercooked, while the sauce and crust were bland. The cheese was good, and the price was cheap enough.

“Nothing beats the comfort and quality of Bella Monica food! I first dined here in college when I was looking for some eggplant parmesan - since that day 20 years later it’s still my favorite Italian restaurant in Raleigh! Btw their eggplant parmesan uses in house ROASTED eggplant not fried and I cannot explain how delicious it is. I’ve likely tried everything on the menu by this point and not once have I been disappointed.“

We come every Monday at 5pm but this week we were 5 minutes late and they had already given our reservation to someone else.
The owner says a reservation doesn't guarantee a specific table but if that's the case why make a reservation?
Too many young 20 year olds running the place that don't have a clue.“
