A young man came out and took my name and returned stating to me they can not find the order. He went back in and came back out saying they found the order but it’s placed for tomorrow. “We love Wakefield tavern! The food is always delicious, the service is consistently great, and the atmosphere is always upbeat. We bring our kids so it's definitely family friendly. My reason for only 4 stars is that since we are a larger family, we are often put in the huge corner booth that has missing filling in the cushions, so you are sinking into the wooden base and it's really not comfortable.“

“We had the supreme pizza and the Italian White last night for dinner. It was amazing!!!! The veggies on the supreme pizza were so fresh!! The crust is impeccable. “Ordered a couple pies, chicken wings, and knots for the family. The wings were nice and spicy but still had flavor which was on point. I'd eat here over a Dominos or Papa John's or any of those other chains any day. Never been disappointed with the food or the customer service. I do not usually call and complain, but felt as though they were just way too small. Asked if I could bring them back and have them remade. “Counter order, table service, small space with a couple of tables outside. Because I expected to pick up my own food from the counter I offered no tip at ordering. But the cashier did deliver our food to our table and very kindly interacted with us making sure everything was great, so I felt compelled to tip after we finished our meal, thus the high service rating. The cheese steak was tasty but a bit light on contents. The lasagna was tasty but with a surprisingly thin sauce. Atmosphere is quaint.“

“This place is incredible! I had the Dante's Inferno pizza which was probably the best I've ever had. Not only was it spicy, but it had several different kinds of spice. They also made a specialty drink for the film I'm in called, "The Blind Date," which incorporated a small light in the actual drink! But the best part of all was the seemingly ENDLESS cheese strand in their calzones. It was the closest thing to tasting Heaven I've had in a while. I've been here for two visits and they haven't let me down and will have me coming back to try everything on their menu.My first visit I had the pork chop sandwich and I was expecting what others have served me at different establishments and I was sadly mistaken. This was a thick bone in center cut pork chop cooked to perfection and the size was immaculate for a lunch portion. The chili cheese fries have some of the best chili I've ever had on French fries and they were heavy handed on the cheese which was a plus.The second visit I had the flounder sandwich and fries and I loved the portion size of the flounder and the breadcumb crust.This place is small but the food is mighty, please pay them a visit.“
“I tried Modd pizza for the first time last week. My family liked us so much that we decided to order it today on pi day. However, my order was messed up, but I did not realize until I got home. When I called the restaurant up, they were very apologetic and accommodating. I asked if they remake the one out of the two pizzas that were messed up. Malvina and her team at Big Cheese Pizza were amazing, from the planning stages for staggered pick ups to ensure no one was served lukewarm pizza, to day-of adjustments to the schedule, to the quality of the product. “I was visiting my granddaughter in Wake Forest, back in February of this year. They suggested we pick up a pizza from Johnny's. I said okay thinking it was another Pizza Joint. Well, by far it's not just another Pizza Joint!! This is the best by far Pizza I have ever eaten!! I wish we had one in Chesapeake Virginia. The mushroom motive infiltrates the room centered around a giant mushroom that you can sit around. They also have outdoor seating(it was too cold when we were there!) and cornhole. Nobody is claiming to have great pizza here. Please do not come to this place to find the finest pizza slice east of the Mississippi. If you want to see state-of-art animatronics visit a robotics lab. Come here because you want your kids to be entertained for a couple of hours. Do note that at this store you have to BRING YOUR PIZZA HOME, to COOK IT yourself. It's the whole point of the "Take 'N' Bake" experience.. People who leave bad reviews are usually Karens/Kyles who can't read a damn sign.
