Allen & Son's knows what it's doing -- no frills, simple menu, and incredible barbecue. We got the barbecue plate with barbecue pork, hush puppies, fries, and baked beans. The bean was classic NC vinegar BBQ - succulent and delicious. The hush puppies had a touch of sweetness. The beans were were appropriately sweet and complemented the vinegary flavor of the meat.
Good Eats…Good Prices!!!Family owned and yup Family recipes served here. I really enjoyed the Brunswick Stew and the BBQ sandwich with coleslaw is delicious and my favorite, lip smacking good. Excellent, yummy Banana Pudding with Nilla wafers is by far the best!
