“This place is absolutely fantastic! Their tonkotsu ramen is one of my favorite ramen, hands-down - incredibly delicious! The owner is extremely kind and personable. I was on shift while getting food and he personally came and helped with my order - going above and beyond. I cannot recommend this place enough!“
“I have been dining at Thai Station since its inception, and consistently, both the cuisine and service have been exceptional. Throughout my experiences, I have encountered no issues whatsoever. For those seeking authentic and delicious cuisine, I wholeheartedly recommend Thai Station.“
“This was a wonderful location for a celebration. The service was good. Nothing over the top, but everyone was pleasant and knowledgeable. The restaurant is a calm, intimate environment. Being greeted with champagne at the table was a definite perk for our anniversary. All of the food was excellent, from the bread to the entrees.“
“This is a hidden gem in Chapel Hill. Stylish, modern, absolutely delicious for every taste of Asian cuisine. Absolutely outstanding service. Excellent choice of alcohol and non alcoholic drinks. Sorry, was so excited tasting delicious dishes that forgot to make pics. That’s how awesome it is!“
“The Bento box was a fun appetizer and pairing the salt and pepper shrimp was a great move! Good tastes, and fun to eat with my partner! The pork belly was complimented by yummy crisp cabbage and carrots that were full of flavor. The peashoot dumplings didn't live up to the hype, kind of tasteless and a one dimension flavor note....even the pea sauce was salty and missing a lift... maybe a touch of acidity needed! We have been waiting to come here for 6 years and it was a fun menu! Singha beer chased everything down well and the cocktail, the Porchlight, were great complements to the meal. We will come back!“
“My boyfriend and I have had 2 great experiences here. To me, Saturday mornings are perfect for their blueberry pancakes with a side of really high-quality bacon. It's so good and the only thing I've gotten. The first time we went, he got the shrimp and grits, which was really good. The grit cake is a nice touch and probably keeps them from having to make a pot of grits. Cheers for efficiency. The second time we went, he got the New Orleans egg souffle (I can't remember the exact name). He said it was bland but still pretty solid. One star off because our first visit was riddled with slow service and the bland dish on the second visit. The drinks were solid, the coffee was hot, and we hope to be back again and again.“
“What a quaint local restaurant!! From the moment we entered the restaurant to the time we left, the staff were so attentive and polite. The food came out hot & tasty. Portions were perfectly sized...not too big not too small. Would definitely recommend.“
“First time and we loved everything. Best Indian experience in the area. We had mango lassi, Thai iced tea (different in a good way), saag paneer, veggie momos (wow!), aaloo gobi (veggie and delicious blend of flavors. The complementary lentil (?) crackers and chutney were appreciated. I look forward to going back with friends. Very good service too.“
“This is our go to sushi restaurant in chapel hill/ durham. The sushi is consistent and delicious. The sushi chef is one of the best I’ve seen in this area. It’s always superb sush. My particular favorite is going during their lunch special , which includes weekdays and Saturdays. My children love the sushi and we get a couple of the triples that include 3 rolls with soup or salad. We love their spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, Philadelphia roll, and generally the rest of their menu is all really amazing. The price is amazing and we always devour all the food. If you are someone who cares about quality, ratios, and consistency, then you will love it like we do. They do have a list of fancier rolls that we occasionally get and are also amazing. But we keep coming back because we hit the perfect balance between amazing cost and amazing, delicious food. You get the best quality and the best price here and it’s so worth it! Highly recommend it!“
“The food came out really fast. My family and I were looking for a spot to eat post half marathon. Definitely hit the spot. The 30pc wings we got half and half spicy and non-spicy to share between 6 people. The spicy was reaaaally hot. Just a warning. The tteokbokki was also fairly spicy too. The rice cakes were cooked really well, not too undercooked or overcooked. The japchae was a good balance to all the spice, as was the edamame. The bibimbap was also really tasty and I really liked the crispy parts of the rice at the bottom of the bowl. Service was really responsive and accommodated our larger party. This is a restaurant that is conveniently located across from UNC-Chapel Hill. Great spot for students to chow down and study.“
“We have been fans of Lucha since it opened over a decade ago! We lived nearby as recent graduates and still come back at least a few times a year now that we live in Durham. The menu is rock solid and the cocktails have always been fantastic. We recommend the nachos, the green beans and the dumplings—we’re fans of the small plates. Always friendly service. It’s one of our cozy go-to’s.“
“I had ordered their fried tofu starter, a medium massaman curry with tofu and their Thai Tea. I liked their tea as it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet and it had a nice flavor to it. Their massaman curry was very good and everything in it was well cooked. The service was a little slower as it took 15-20 min to get our check and the restaurant did not seem crowded. Our waitress was very friendly. I would come back again.Vegetarian options: There were a few vegetarian options on all spots on the menu, and you could add veggies or tofu without an additional charge for most items. The food was good and I would recommend to vegetarians.“
“I've been to the food hall location somewhere in Raleigh, but this was my first time at the Chapel Hill location. I was there the Saturday before NYE and the place was empty. It was very clean and inviting. I got the California box again because I really like the flavor and mix of ingredients. For the price, it looks like a small portion. But it was very filling. It tasted fine, just a little blah. I'm not sure if it's because I was the only customer so maybe the ingredients had been sitting unstirred for a while, but it didn't give me that, "wow this is amazing!" feeling like in Raleigh. The tofu could've been a bit fresher maybe.“
“I LOVE this place. It’s not fancy - more like a neighborhood hole-in-the-wall, but so worth the visit. I have been coming often since they opened, and I highly recommend you eat here. Their ingredients are very fresh, and the food is tasty. The chicken curry pho is outstanding, as well as the bahn mi sandwiches. My favorite thing on the menu is the lemongrass noodles! I always get tofu, and I love it! It’s so delicious that I crave it. I usually get takeout and they pack the food well and it’s always great when I get it home.“
“Very good sushi, good atmosphere, great lunch deals, don't go there in a rush - food takes a minute to arrive.Recommend : Fire Ball roll, Hawaiian roll, Carolina way, and the Tom Yum Soup, and sashimi. Also good : shrimp wasabi roll, ultimate salmon roll, and fresh off roll - a little difficult to taste the difference between them.Csn skip: fried gyoza.“
“The food was good. The service was OK. I wasn't impressed especially because of the reputation and notoriety. The decor was the best part minus the spider webs. it was a very special occasion and we don't live in the area. I wouldn't make any more special plans to eat there.“
“I found someplace I'm going to order from over and over again! All of the food I tried was really good! I ordered a Build Your Own Box. Chickpeas, noodles, curry potatoes, fried tofu, tomatoes, and teriyaki sauce. The smell was weird, but the flavor was amazing. I also grabbed the mac and cheese egg rolls. I recommend tossing them into your air fryer and then dipping them in your favorite cheese sauce!Mom got something called a katsu box, which she is still raving about days later! She also got deep fried chicken cutlets that she loved and Beef dumplings! I highly recommend this restaurant!“
“It's my favorite sushi place in the triangle! There are so many great options, and it's always buy one get one free. Staff is always friendly and prompt. Make sure you check the days they are open because we went one time and they had changed them and were closed but that doesn't take away from the food. The food is amazing.“
“Celebrated Chinese New Year with friends on Sunday at Lunch time. We were the only table but they were very busy with takeout orders. We ordered Happy Family, General Taos Chicken. Seafood Delight, Chicken wings, steamed Broccoli, noodles and pork dish and shared. All of the dishes were very good and the waitress took time to take photos for us.“
“I am a transplant from the NY/NJ area and have struggled to find "legit" Chinese food in the Triangle that lives up to my Northeast biased palette's expectations but Hunam checks the boxes. The spare ribs, Lo mein and fried rice are on point!!“
“Decent foodImpressed by the food and appetizersOne of these led to digestive problemsNice pleasant atmosphere. The tall guy is great and very kindWe went with family friends. Group of 12Food has quite a bit of flavor. I would recommend basically anything. Not a huge fan of Korean food but this is actually pretty good. I am ready to return for the third time. Or wait, is it the fourth?“
“This was my second time to La Montaña and both times I've had a Great experience. For this experience, I called ahead and spoke to one of the hostesses to see if they could make their Diablo dish non-spicy since I wanted to bring my best friend for her birthday and knew she would love it, but she doesn't eat spicy food. When I called, the hostess was So Sweet. She took down my number, called the owner / chef to see if they could do it for us, called me back with a "Yes" AND made a note about it in our reservation. So A+++ to her and the chef for their kindness, flexibility and wonderful customer care. When we arrived, all the staff were welcoming and helpful. Then came our Curry Shrimp dishes; The Diablo (the normal spicy version) and The Angel (as our funny and very attentive waiter Colby (?) referred to the non-spicy version as). We were both in heaven. This is really the most delicious and flavorful curry sauce we've ever had. It's served with rice and this thick, delicious sourdough bread, and dipping the rice or the bread in the sauce are both different and equally delicious experiences. We both enjoyed a glass of the Cabernet, which was perfect. Lastly, we liked the feel and lighting of the restaurant and were especially touched by the story on the back of the menu about the restaurant's inception. Thank you La Montaña! We will be back!“
