“By far the best place I've ever been for shared dishes! All the plates have 4 to 5 Dim sum, which really helped to share with other people like we did during our visit. Would highly recommend the chicken bao as it was by far the best thing we had that night! Service was quick and prompt and a reservation is definitely recommended!“
“Tracy was incredible. I came for a quick meal and she sold me on the rising dragon! Such a great recommendation that I ended up getting a second. Our food came out so fast and tasted delicious. She also got me to get the Great Wall of chocolate! You’ll need to ask for her. I’ve never received this great of service.“
“The prices are a little high, but you can enjoy a variety of creative dishes. The food was delicious and worth the price. ?Dietary restrictions: The waitress will confirm with you in advance, and it will also be written on the menu.Parking: You can also park on the street for a fee, and there are plenty of them nearby.“

“We were first blown away with the ambiance. Felt like we stepped into another world. We were seated quickly. We went around 7pm on a Saturday. I'm not sure if we got lucky or not but we were able to walk right in and get seated. They do take reservations. The staff was very nice and helpful 100% of the time. My niece was with us and while they do not have a kids menu, they were prepared to concoct something that she would enjoy. Luckily, thanks to youtube, she has been wanting to try dumplings and enjoyed the Chicken & Garlic Wontons. She loved them. The food overall was delicious. They brought out an abundance of sauces and that is always a win for me because I'm the sauce Queen. I'm not sure about parking because we parked at the place we originally came downtown for earlier in the day. I did not see easy parking close by, just street parking. I recommend this restaurant for date night, trying something new, or girls night. Try it! You won't be disappointed.“
“One of the most gastronomically pleasing nights out that we have had in a very long time. My husband and I tried almost everything on the menu and the flavors and execution of each dish were outstanding. The space is also very inviting, comfortable and romantic.“
“I visited here recently just to try their Korean fried chicken and it was totally worth it. Their classic Soga wings are the best! I also loved their ambience, it gives a very comfy and home vibe. I will definitely visit again for their Soga wings!“
“Highly recommend: Thai curry & honey-chili wings! Very flavorful menu & juicy, well-done chicken! Great customer service too! Anil was very attentive - thank you! Expect Asian fusion. I think it's Indo-Chinese inspired; but the curry tasted more Indian than Thai (still delicious either way). Will definitely return again & will add new updates, yummy food/photos we try here! Would recommend this place!“
“Chef apologized and offered discount when we conveyed the food didn’t completely meet expectations due to dietary restriction. This place was responsive to feedback and was open to making amends. Food quality seemed to be good, nice place to eat if you don’t have any dietary restrictions, hence giving five stars.“

“It’s nice to have personal hotspot in Raleigh finally without driving to cart or Morrisville. I ordered the Sichuan Mala hotpot, the broth was delicious and came with great assortment of hotpot items. The hotpot container came with alcohol lamp underneath to keep the soup warm the whole time while eating it, just need to be careful if you are with young children. The portion was great for one person, it can be shared with two if you order some side dishes. The interior was nice and clean, will definitely be back soon!“
“I had the beef jerkey appetizer and curry laska. I always get curry laska whenever it’s on the menu and this one’s the best one I’ve had! They do NOT skimp on the meat portions. And everything came out super fast. We sat on the patio for at least two hours, mimosas were on sunday special for $3 ! I will be back every Sunday“
“Nestled discreetly in the heart of Eastern Raleigh, Chuan Cafe is a culinary treasure waiting to be discovered. Situated conveniently close to the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Raleigh on New Bern Avenue, this quaint eatery was recommended to me by my children, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations.Upon entering, I was enveloped in a wave of nostalgia, reminiscent of cherished memories from my childhood. The ambiance exudes simplicity and warmth, with an unassuming interior design that instantly puts one at ease. It's the kind of place where you feel like you've come home, even if it's your first visit. Now, let's talk about the food - simply put, it's phenomenal. Every dish on the menu is crafted with care and precision, resulting in flavors that dance on your palate and leave you craving for more. One standout dish that stole the show for me was the beef stew soup with noodles. From the moment it arrived at the table, I knew I was in for a treat. The aroma alone was enough to whet my appetite, but it was the first sip of the rich, flavorful broth that truly captured my heart. Each spoonful was a symphony of taste, with tender chunks of beef, perfectly cooked noodles, and an assortment of aromatic spices that left me utterly speechless. Even after I had finished every last drop, my mouth continued to water at the mere memory of its exquisite flavor. In addition to the beef stew soup, Chuan Cafe offers a diverse range of culinary delights to suit every palate. Whether you're in the mood for savory stir-fries, comforting noodle dishes, or tantalizing appetizers, there's something on the menu to satisfy every craving.Parking: The restaurant offers many parking spaces for its patrons.Wheelchair accessibility: It has reserved spaces for people with wheelchairs.“
“Ordered masala dosa for take out. As I didn't notice because I was taking it, they gave it without masala. The next day I went to the restaurant and before I could ask her, she said she owed me because she forgot the masala for yesterday's order. I like their service. Dosa is good, not “
“Easy street or lot parking (paid). Across from the Raleigh bus station. Nice relaxing vibe. Plenty of small plate/ app options. You can easily customize any drink. Black milk tea and strawberry tea with popping peach boba was great. Medium or small size for tea options. Tried the crab Rangoon, pop corn chicken and veggie egg rolls. All came out piping hot with complimentary sauces. I will come back here again.“
“We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly, attentive and knowledgable of mixed drinks and the menu. She offered suggestions and recommendations on the food and drinks. We visited during Happy Hour which featured half-price entrees. We ordered the mango summer rolls, crispy edamame spring rolls, crispy rice and the firecracker roll. DELISH! If you like good food, creative craft cocktails and great service, give this place a try!“
“We order delivery from here more often than we’d like to admit hahaha! But we do because it’s SO good. They have a little bit of everything and it’s always hot when it gets to us. We typically do the 2 items with rice or noodle, the large chicken and vegetable Pho, and Crab Rangoon. We ordered an extra 2 item this time around! One has Honey Sesame Chicken and their Grilled Bourbon Chicken with Lo Mein noodles, and the other is their General Tso’s and sweet black pepper chicken. This was our first time trying the noodles and they were delicious! Portions are great! This lasted us 3 meals! We LOVE it!“
“First time we have visited this restaurant, but not the first time tasting their food. So, here goes. Quaint. Tidy, and tucked away in a college neighborhood. All great things. Was there a wait to be seated? There was not - but, that didn't mean this wasn't a great spot for dinner. Our first course was (of course) their hot soups. I had Wonton and my husband had David's Hot & Sour. So good. We ordered Jasmine tea - took awhile to steep, but isn't that always the way with tea? After soup, we had Fried Vietnamese Vegetable Spring Rolls. These were good, and we also had David's Original Half-Fried Dumplings. You get five of these big guys. We split the Sesame Chicken and Beef Lo Mein Egg Noodles. Even the steamed rice was delicious. Tender chunks of chicken in a sweet sauce with small stalks of broccoli, and the beef was tender and easy to chew. I would have to say that their portions were small. We did not take anything home with us (at other Asian places, and for the amount of money we spent, we would get a second at-home meal). Not the case here. You get fresh, hot food or average portion size, and you leave what's left (empty plates). Staff were accommodating. We were told at the time that their systems were acting slowly, so in order to process our order, everything had to be entered all at once. My husband and I are never rushed, and we don't enjoy everything coming out of the kitchen at once. However, we were informed of what they were doing to get hot food out to us. We appreciated this information. I would say, "go here and try it!" The "industrial" decor is fitting for its location. Everything is casual - even the person seating us wore jeans and sneakers. We will go back, and bring others with us.“
“have had their Cajun mahi tacos and recently been getting (delivered via Uber eats) Cajun shrimp bowl and *chef's kiss* delicious Everytime! Fried items cooked to order every time! highly advise adding mango pineapple salsa (if you like sweet) to your meal.. YUMMM“
“One of the best, if not the best, bang for your buck downtown Raleigh lunch. For less than $11 they will stack a tray full of rice, chicken, and 2 spring rolls. Can't beat the amount of food for the price in downtown Raleigh. Also I would not give it 5 stars if it was bad food. It is pretty pretty good. Sesame chicken and general tso really hit the spot. I recommend this place.Don't order online like the bad reviews I've seen having bad experiences with that. Just walk in. It takes less than a minute to get a tray and pay“
“The poor ratings scared me off at first, yet we were in the area and figured we’d take a chance. I’m glad we did. We ordered the Mongolian beef, lettuce wraps, and spicy chicken. They were all cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The host packaged it all up to go and put utensils, fortune cookies, and soy sauce in the bag. I know that the extras are expected, yet a nice touch to automatically do it for the customer. The location is a little set back from the main area near Lowe’s and it wasn’t busy at all for lunch. That was a concern at first, but very happy we tried.Parking: Lots of space to park during lunch hours in a strip mall near Lowe’s Foods“
“The atmosphere is incredible! The crunchy mofongo became one of my favorite dishes ? Alejandra was my server, her attention was 10/10. If you want to have a good time with your friends, it's the ideal place, and even more so if the DJ is there??“
“You WILL NOT be disappointed! Lunch is not served after 2:30...Lunch buffet close to $12 w/drink... CAN'T beat this! Small buffet...Nice little crowd ...(Gets BUSY...during the week! NO buffet on the wknd! ONLY takeout...Take out during the week, as well.“
“I was quite impressed with the quality of the food. Great flavor and the tuna wasn't fishy at all. A bit pricey but nothing insane. You can't sit down so tough to enjoy the food without having to drive somewhere else to eat. It was my first time there so I wish the staff would have been more engaging.“
“Amazing restaurant. Red Bowl has never failed me before and I've been a frequent customer. Every sushi roll here tastes amazing and none of them are bad. The service is always amazing also and the atmosphere is just amazing and I always feel welcome there. Amazing restaurant with even better food.“
“Food was really good! They also gave me lots of sauce, which is great! I ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp. The steak was super good! I would have liked it if they cut up the onions smaller and added more zucchini and carrots but I'll definitely be ordering again! The soup was also really good. It was on the small side. I was expecting a small container of soup like you'd get from a Chinese restaurant. This soup container was much smaller.“
“Came here with high expectations AND was not disappointed. This is an Asian Fusion Restaurant with awide variety of dishes from Pho to Ramen. From the what I saw on the menu, it looked like it was a mix of Japanese and Vietnamese dishes. I already had an idea of what I wanted, so I wasn’t able to get a good look at the rest of the menu.Food:I tried the Pork Ramen and I’m very selective with how I like it. I like my Pork with a nice sear, and thats exactly how they cooked it. The broth was not too salty and the mix of veggies added a unique touch I enjoyed. The Thai Tea on the side made it the perfect meal. Very fresh and flavorful. The price was good for the amount and quality of the meal.Customer Service:All the staff were kind and attentive. It was a bit annoying that our food took a while to be served, but understandable given the amount of people there.Nitpicks:Atmosphere is 4/5 because for some reason doors were locked when we got there (during mid day) and the seating arrangement was a bit strange. We asked for a table for two, and had to walk down a long hallway which was kind of tedious (especially when really hungry) when there was plenty of room elsewhere. The booth was nice and comfortable in a well lit area where we can have a nice conversation.Final thoughts:Great place to try some Asian Cuisine. The building layout of the restaurant is strange, so it’d be hard for the elderly, or person with limited mobility to navigate through. It’ll take some time for your food to arrive, so keep that in mind. Try to look at the menu beforehand (see photos posted by other reviewers). If you’re looking for an Asian Fusion cuisine I recommend you give my order a try!“
“Everything here so delicious flavorful, and fresh it delighted my taste buds. I think my biggest disappointment in this whole meal was the drink. It was just average for the price, whereas the seafood salad that I got was delightful and refreshing and full of seafood, the papaya and duck salad that I had was enough for two people. It was filling it. It was well executed the flavors and the melody was delicious and refreshing. You didn't feel heavy after the meal which I think is amazing. my companion had the curry dish and said it tasted just like homemade she portions are big enough to share.“
