“Great little neighborhood deli in N. Raleigh area. Ordered the Grand Gobbler on focaccia (bread was perfect & so fresh) & the potato salad (literally some of the best I’ve ever had). It was all so plentiful & so very good! Place has a very simple, but tasteful menu. Super nice staff working Sabrina & (Dalton brought our food out & spoke) he always does a perfect job on preparing our sandwiches! 🥪 Overall service was great! Definitely a must for a quick lunch stop! Will definitely be back asap!“

“I had a taste for something sweet after church so I googled local bakeries. This place was further out of my way than I wanted however I am determined to feed my body what it's deserves. Quality food made from quality ingredients with Love and Care. This place is worth the drive. The ham and cheese croissant and chocolate chip cookie had me twerking for Jesus as I was driving. It felt so Great to eat something that tastes amazing, Is fresh and not full of preservatives and toxins. But don't take my word for it. Try for yourself!“

“I met a friend here for an early morning coffee when they opened at 7am and there was a line out the door! The ambiance in here was great and I was excited to try it.

The coffee/espresso was not great to be honest. It was fine but there is better coffee in Raleigh. Come here for the atmosphere!

“We love Shaba Shabu and wanted to give this a try. It was delicious!! Everyone was friendly and helpful. We got the Khao Soi, Bangkok Burrito, and Nana’s Chicken and Waffle. We all shared so we could taste everything, and we all agreed that all were delicious. We’ll definitely be back! The prices were very good for what you get, as well.“

“Just asked for my standard breve and no problem ! I didn't realize I was walking in at closing time - 7 PM. Hours are right on the door. There is a whole parking lot of spaces to park, or drive around ! Outside tables and chairs are convenient and comfortable also. The Spring breezes and the bird song is lovely.“

I'm basic & love a good black drip coffee!), and my husband loves the chocolate croissants and for me -- ohmigoodness, the vegan banana chocolate chip muffins -- divine!!! Baked in house & you can't get just one! Highly recommend! The shop itself: charming atmosphere inside, outdoor seating available, and a variety of goods from other local vendors available (pins, jewelry, stickers, candles, shirts...super fun local stuff!), helpful & kind staff, and a far more extensive menu of food & drink than what I have described! :-) Haven't been yet? Even on a busy red cup day she took the time to be hospitable and friendly. I will be coming back and hoping to see her every time. She made my day.“

“Though the Optimist had a great atmosphere and coffee is pretty tasty (I ordered a drip and a pour over), the service leaves something to be desired.

The pour over took 20 minutes because the barista is also the person taking the order, and my sandwich took even longer. Not the barista’s fault, she was slammed, but there were other employees around just doing nothing to help her. For the price, we were hoping for something better!“

Friendly and helpful cashier service and consistent drinks from the baristas. Even though the tomato mozzarella sandwich came from the cooler, it was not half bad after being warmed in the oven. The location is pretty decent, and the up-and-coming alley access will be nice when the construction finishes. There still is some comfy cushioned outdoor seating and standard chairs and tables also.“

“I had read about LA HORCHATERIA and decided to treat my Granddaughter to Breakfast today ( she's a college student..). We weren't disappointed. The food and beverages were superb!!! In fact, she said her frozen mocha tasted better than starbucks. We are both FOODIES, we're quite selective about places that we decide to dine. THIS IS A WINNER!!! We will be back!!“

“Coffee arrived quickly, about 3 minutes. Good for a specialty mocha. Tasted good. "Extra hot" but served regular hot. Store was typical cleanliness. Staff were staying busy, no goofing off or loud music playing (like at Starbucks). So was a very good visit.“

“One of my favorite bakeries in Raleigh. They have a good variety of baked items made daily. Yellow Dog is really popular so everything is always freshly baked. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Seating inside is a little limited but they do have outside seating if the weather is good.“

“This is one of our favorites in downtown Raleigh. But our waitress Liz was nowhere to be seen. She took our order. We didn’t see her again for an hour and a half. I had to chase somebody down from the kitchen to get me lemons for my water, which I ordered in the beginning, I had to get silverware and napkins off another table because those were never placed, and I never got a refill on my coffee. The day we were there it was not busy. There was no excuse for the poor service. I did click on here that I do recommend them, but I do not recommend the waitress Liz.“

“This particular Starbucks has made my Chai perfectly for three years, since I moved nearby. I'm one of those who has a complicated order and most Starbucks get it wrong once in a while. Well, today, my birthday, they got it wrong. So wrong. My order is 9 pumps, no foam, no water. Seems simple, right? Yeah, no. Usually the mistake is that I get lots of foam but non-fat milk. Today I got lots of foam, lots of foam. So I asked for the guy to remove the foam before I even tasted it. He took it but made another online order before making mine. Then I got my drink and… ,. skim milk, water, and weak chai. It was like drinking warm milk. Just no. So I asked a young woman there to make me a new one and she also made an online order first! And when I finally got my drink and tasted it, it was just okay. Not quite bland but not spicy like it usually is. But at this point I just wanted to get out of there having waited far too long so I took it and left figuring I would microwave it and add some spices when I got home. I did get a Happy Birthday as I was walking out, which was nice. What is most disappointing is that this Saturday crew needs some training on customer service. There were only a few online orders waiting and a customer standing there in person should take precedence, especially if they got the order wrong. This was not the birthday drink I had been hoping for.“
