“So good, so flavorful and one of the best Ramen places in North Raleigh area. I loved the ambience a lot, and 80’s and 90’s playlist playing in the background is just the vibe we need. We’ve tried most of the dishes on the menu and I have never been disappointed. Favorite so far is the Korean Army stew with spam… so “
“We were traveling from out of state and were in search of the best sushi restaurant in town and definitely found it. The sushi was amazing! Beautiful restaurant, excellent service and one of the best sushi dinners we have had. We will definitely return when in town!“
“Our favorite small Korean grocery in Raleigh. Great selection that is well-organized plus an AMAZING authentic restaurant with traditional home cooked food. They also have a corndog truck and Bungeo-ppang station with some bakery items as well. Upstairs is a perfect-sized Kpop store with awesome staff and a friendly vibe.“
“Far and away this has been the most delicious, fresh, and plentiful sushi I’ve had in quite some time. The Thai iced tea is delicious and I will most definitely be coming back again. I’m happy I took this photo because within five minutes it was gone.“
“They have great customer service + plus great food. If you love SUSHI, sit at the bar where you could experience a sushi train coming your way with options to pick and choose and I think you'll love it..Head Chef Henry, is a great, great chef that knows what he's doing when it comes to fresh fish and he always makes sure you leave happy and he cares about his customers feedback tremendously. Overall, this place has a good atmosphere. My friends and I love it and we can't wait to go back ☺️??? ?????????“
“We came here on a Thursday night and was suprised to see they had daily specials! it was $4 off rolls (was a little disappointed it wasn't off speciality rolls as it didn't specify which rolls), but we still got 1 speciality roll & 2 traditional rolls. It was delicious! But the star of the show was the salmon crispy rice. The presentation was great but the crispy rice was phenomenal, so many delicious flavors and textures packed into a bite and a pretty good price. I would come back just for that. Yatai is located in Transfer co food hall and was easy to find. We ordered at the counter and then decided to sit at one of the tables. Loved the ambiance. I definitely would recommend this place and will be back again!“
“Fish was delicious and fresh and the miso soup was a lighter one which means it was not cheap or aged too long so I like that. Price for a soup and a meal to share was $70 with tip. Lunch there seems like an affordable option. Easy walk from downtown hotels. Fatty tuna and ahi are my favorite and they were really good. Service was professional.Parking: Park at paid lot nearby and walk or walk from many downtown hotels“
“Overall Rating: 7.6/10The interior appears freshly renovated, complemented by friendly staff and promptly served, tasty food. You get the amazing tasting hibachi food without the show.Food:Crab Rangoon: 6.1/10A standard offering with a slightly better-than-average filling, making it a decent choice.Hibachi Steak / Chicken: 7.1/10Both the steak and chicken were of good quality and cooked just right, with pieces chopped into ideal sizes for eating.General Tso's Chicken: 8.2/10This dish stood out with perfectly cooked, smaller-than-usual chicken pieces that resulted in extra crispiness. The broccoli was fresh, and the sauce was enjoyable, though a bit more spice would have been welcome.Yakisoba with Shrimp: 7.1/10The noodles and shrimp were prepared excellently, hitting the right flavor notes for a satisfying meal.Pokémon go:2 Pokemon gymsValue: 8.1/10At $55 before tax for a meal for three, the pricing reflects good value for the quality and quantity of food provided.“
“Love going to Hayashi for lunch. They have a great deal on ? bento boxes. I recommend the Wolves bento box; you'll get a lot of food, including shrimp & vegetables tempura, chef choice sushi, sashimi, California rolls, and salad. I also love their ginger dressing!“

“I love Kai. I live in DC and come here every single time I visit my parents in Raleigh. It's the best sushi I've ever had! I haven't even found a restaurant up near me that tops it. My favorites are Angry Tuna, Crunchy Salmon, Screaming O, White Tiger, and Diablo. (We always get the five-roll special). We love getting a table with Mimi. Highly recommend, Kai!“
“A friendly neighborhood market atmosphere and a friendly man (owner?)..☺️?Jjajangmyeon, especially large-cut vegetablesThanks to the potatoes, it reminds me of old jjajangmyeon..Jjamppong is full of seafood, the broth is clear, and the spicy flavor is eye-opening ?. If I wasn't full, I would have eaten it with a bowl of rice..?✌️?The chicken is juicy on the outside and the salty and salty seasoning is delicious, but it is a bit disappointing that there is no chicken radish.. ?Tteokbokki was also served with plenty of vegetables and odeng...Chewy, spicy and sweet, but the fishy smell of oden is a bit annoying..A variety of groceries and cute goods that are rare in the U.S. are also on sale.. “
“I have been looking for a hibachi place that competes with the one from my hometown, and I went to FIVE different places before I finally found this one. I came 2 days ago after work because I wanted to try it but they were closed due to a gas leak, no problem. I came back today and it was so good and the service was nice, they give you 2 containers of sauce. Definitely will come back and I’ve already told my friends about it.Parking: There were a good amount of spaces, it’s a hidden gem so there is always multiple spots“
“Ajisai has become my favorite sushi restaurants in Raleigh due to the excellent service, comfortable and lively atmosphere, and the welcoming staff. The owner Joy makes an effort to come by each table, and it makes a huge difference in customers wanting to return. I highly recommend the Gyoza, Volcano Roll, the Manhattan Roll, and Mochi for dessert. Awesome spot in Village District!“
“I’ve been coming here for a while and i always get the hibachi steak, for the price it cannot be beat in my opinion, consistently good, and service is always friendly and quick. they always throw in 2 white sauce and i haven’t had a bad expierence yet!“
“The food here is excellent. We have been here at least 5-10 times over the past few years and they have always been consistently good. Sometimes we get sushi, other times hibachi plates, and sometimes a bento box. Everything is really well done and especially for the price. They have also worked to accommodate us sitting outside on a few occasions when they were short staffed, which is much appreciated. The only two reasons I am giving 4 stars is that they do seem to be short staffed a lot, and they do tend to have their outside tables shut down a lot as well. When it's 70 degrees outside on a perfect day with blue skies, it's hard to justify sitting inside where it's comparatively much louder. We don't mind sitting inside but they do have tall ceilings that echo a bit and make it louder during busy periods. That being said, these are relatively minor points and we'll definitely be coming back again. They also do a good job with take out, which we have done a few times.“
“If you’re lookin for the Best fresh Chinese Food, “Look No Further!!”…this is that “Hidden Gem”…Oh my Goodness……great tasting food, awesome portions, & great prices!!!…my wife & I have smiles inside our stomachs ?. Sorry we don’t have photos! We are too fast!!!“
“This was our first visit to Carolina Sushi and Roll. The food was so good!!! My daughter and I both picked the pick 2 special and had some tempura, as well. The tuna and salmon were so fresh! My 9 year old ate tofu...so that was a win :-)The service was excellent! Everyone was so friendly and polite. Will definitely be coming back soon!“
“No problems before but today I'm eating my delicious food and then a guy started sweeping the floor with dust flying all around then started mopping the floor with bleach. I'm trying to EAT had to leave because of the bleach smell wait to clean up when somebody's in “
“We were so excited to finally eat here! We checked out the online menu before coming, and it said there was an omakase option for $85. When we arrived, we didn’t see that option on the menu so we asked about it. Our server said they could do it but asked us how much we wanted to spend. My husband said he saw $85 online and our server seemed puzzled by that amount. I’ve never been asked how much I wanted to spend on omakase so it was a little awkward and odd. The food was great. I had takoyaki, a roll, and a few nigiri pieces. My husband’s omakase spread was great and very filling. The Paper Crane cocktail was amazing, while the Okinawa Breeze was way too much raspberry. It needed something else to balance it out. Overall we enjoyed it and will be back, but I think there needs to be some clarification on the omakase.“
“Went on a Saturday evening there was about a 45 minute wait and it was a lot of people waiting. I appreciate how they sat us at the table with another couple on the opposite side. So we had our own personal space and not at a crowed table. The chef was very pleasant & the food was great! Just don’t forget to order ice cream at the end.“
“We were looking for a place to have dinner for a birthday but we didn't want the celebration part...we opted for hibachi. We were seated fairly quickly with another family and a server came to our table to get drink and appetizer orders while we looked over the menu. They have your standard hibachi items and I did appreciate them telling you the prices of sharing, adding additional meats, etc. We did order an appetizer and it never came. Which is ok (I think I paid for it as well and was in such a food coma that I just didn't even realize it until we left) There is a lot of food, I had the couples meal with my husband and I could barely eat half of it. They apparently know this because they bring boxes for you to take the leftovers home. The service was good, not too much fanfare as the schtick is pretty much the same at every hibachi place. I will say they might need more humidifiers because the floor is slick with what I assume is oil from all the cooking.“
“Their food is very personalized; their service is quick and satisfactory, and their quality is excellent. The atmosphere and environment is soothing and comforting, and the workers here have great manners. I would greatly recommend coming here to eat.“
“We ordered a takeout Philly roll, a Southern California fried roll, a deluxe sashimi set, and miso soups. There weren't too many people in the car and our order came out pretty quickly after about 7-10 minutes. About the rolls, I won't say they were delicious, pretty good for their price. The miso soup didn't taste like water, I was disappointed. But the pieces of fish in the sashimi were very fresh and large.“
“Great place to eat on a small budget. I've been coming here 10 years, Dennis is so welcoming, same staff which is amazing in a place of this type. Friendly, clean and updated facility. Try the hibachi chicken with the yum yum sauce. It's perfect.“
“First time visiting this Hibachi 88, and it is by far my preferred location to the Durham locations. The amount of food you get for the price is great (I paid $20 total for me and my mom), and the food was hot and fresh. I got the hibachi steak, and my mom got the Hibachi 88 rice. Did not take a long time to receive our food, and the cashier was nice. Will definitely continue going to this location.“
“This spot has great sushi with great staff and an extensive menu. I try to find something new on the menu whenever I go but I generally order takeout which is a seamless process. My go to through covid and today. It doesn't have many seating options but I have always gotten a table.“
“The food can be hit or miss, but the portions are always generous. We are always full and leave some for leftovers. One regular meal can be lunch and dinner for a regular adult sized person like myself. Very economical. An easy go-to if you want some hibachi.“
“This was one of the most delicious sandwiches I’ve ever had! So creative and fun. And what a huge portion! The homemade chips were incredible as well.I visit the Morgan Street Food Hall often and this is going to become a regular stop for me!“
“I love the sushi, miso soup, and the lunch bento ? is great option if you want to try couple dishes with little amount. However, the dumpling wasn’t really amaze me because it’s a bit dry and not so savory. Overall, it’s not bad experience.“
“Food was really good! They also gave me lots of sauce, which is great! I ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp. The steak was super good! I would have liked it if they cut up the onions smaller and added more zucchini and carrots but I'll definitely be ordering again! The soup was also really good. It was on the small side. I was expecting a small container of soup like you'd get from a Chinese restaurant. This soup container was much smaller.“
“Amazing lunch.Thai chickenHoney chickenChicken and broccoliFirecracker shrimpCrab RangoonSpiderman RollCocktails and more!!! HOUSE SPECIAL FRIED RICE TOO!!!!!AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!! I'll definitely be back over and over again. ?Parking: There's parking available even though it's a busy place.Kid-friendliness: YES. “Great sushi. Normally great service. Host on 3/29 wouldn’t seat us at an outdoor table (had the dogs) said they were all reserved, so we opted for takeout. We ended up eating at another location nearby. Numerous tables stayed unoccupied the entire time. Seems like host wasn’t very good. I hope this issue gets corrected because this is one of our favorite sushi spots“
“They have the freshest sushi ?, looks, and taste great. They do not take reservations, so you will need to go early, the place is little small, fills out very quickly. It is fun to sit at the sushi bar and watch them make sushi. It is my go to place when I want some good sushi.“
