Bad sushi made my belly hurt all night. Rice was crunchy and tuna color slightly off. Service slow. Would not go back.

I had the opportunity to visit on Sunday and the food was amazing. However, my overall experience was awful, after hearing interactions between the manager and the employees during my time there. Just by being a guest at this establishment I felt uneasy after being able to hear employees being yelled at from the dining area and then seeing an employee walk out and be followed by the manager. I am unsure what caused the altercation, but I can say it was overall unpleasant and ruined the initial experience. The servers also seemed stressed as there was barely any staff there, but I can see that they were still trying their hardest to give us quality service and for that I give them 5 stars, but can't say the rest deserves that same amount of appreciation.

The bar tender Melissa has a genuine and sweet energy about her! She, alone is a reason to come back to this place!!

Was excited to try this place based on reviews and photos. Made reservations since it was recommended, however, the place was empty. Server was friendly and welcoming. When we sat down and the menus were on the table. They were folded paper and stained. It was disgusting-they're printed paper-replace them! For appetizers, we ordered the tuna tartar and chips which was yummy and pork gyoza which was as expected. Entrees were the miso ramen and the sweet chili noodles. Ramen: the broth was salty, the pork belly was bland and over all a let down. Noodles: stuck in one large clump and the tofu was fried to the point of being inedible. Super disappointing. The bathroom, and this is a pet peeve, had that cheap, nasty pink soap with a hand blower instead of paper towels. That's just my own OCD complaint especially when you have manually unlock the bathroom door to get out.

I'd say they're bang on average, I've had better Asian food at others places in chapel hill. The wings were good, the bao buns felt like eating plastic; impossible to chew or cut, service was great, and the atmospheres nice!

Stepped out for my bday and the owner was awesome! His wife was bartending and recommended us some great drinks! The husband came out and introduced himself, he was great! He ended up getting us a round of shots. This place is great!

This place is absolutely fantastic! Their tonkotsu ramen is one of my favorite ramen, hands-down - incredibly delicious! The owner is extremely kind and personable. I was on shift while getting food and he personally came and helped with my order - going above and beyond. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Made to completely get up from a table so they can clean it even though there’s nothing on the table. Given attitude for no reason. Left right away.

Came here months ago and it was Soo good - drinks, food, service, atmosphere, everything. Came in on a Saturday and while it was a bit busy (but nothing crazy), it just feels like everything went downhill. Service took forever. Barely any Japanese whiskey drinks on the menu (had a Japanese Sour with Suntori, very meh). Food took ages to come out and when it did I got to find that the pork dumplings were burnt ? And two measly tuna tacos for 10 bucks. Paid 40 bucks for these three items and I'll take it as my final tab to never have to eat here again.
