We order takeout from Jade palace all the time. The food is really good and the online ordering system is easy to use. There is a parking lot across the street that you can park at for free that makes pickup simple. The staff are organized and efficient with getting orders to you so you can be on your way. We love the orange chicken, chicken pad Thai and crab Rangoon. There is no indoor seating right now but that's not a big deal to us. Would recommend giving it a try!

Food excellent after all these years! However, no dine in and very junky in the pickup area. If this is permanent, maybe a nice divider to hide the background commotion. Best egg rolls in town.

Over several decades or more Jade Palace has been a fixture here and is known as one of the best restaurants with an incredible menu and service in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area. Not much has changed since and during the onset of the pandemic when they wisely shifted gears becoming a takeout-only restaurant in the same location, yet still offering the extensive, entire menu and kind, timely service. There is an outstanding heritage of great restaurants and shops here and I encourage those new to Chapel Hill and Carrboro to find Jade Palaces’ website and order for any occasion, whether a dinner for two or a group gathering.

We’ve been coming to Jade Palace for going on 30 years and it has been great every time. In all those years not once has our order been wrong and both father and now son have always been very friendly. Favorites are Ivory Shrimp, Kung Pao Shrimp and Moo Goo Gai Pan. It's also worth sharing that they have some of the best shrimp in the area.

Very disappointed in the food delivered from Jade Palace tonight. We ordered combination mei fun and pork fried rice. They both were the same brownish color which looked weird. But we hoped they might be well-seasoned with plenty of soy sauce. In fact, they had no flavor at all. The shrimp tasted a little off and the beef and pork had no flavor but a lot of gristle. The few small pieces of chicken tasted fine, thank goodness. But there weren’t many of them. We won’t be ordering from Jade Palace again.
I would always and only get the red pepper chicken (also called Chongqing chicken or laziji). Super savory, super addicting. Also a very nice spice level, but doesn’t give the same tingly sensation like others I’ve had. The price is also decent for the portion size, which can also include a side of white rice. Take-out/delivery only, but super quick.

By far my friend Chinese restaurant in the area. After having their General Tao’s chicken for the first time. They used all real meat! Wasn’t none of that half bread half meat you get from some restaurants. I’ll be coming to this location from now on. Hopefully you give this place a try after reading this review!
Great customer service and the food is great.
