Great bar, been a loyal patron for years, but the red haired bouncer in the beanie is nuts. She wouldn’t let my 27 year old partner in on the day she graduated with her masters because “her ID was peeling on the edge”. She genuinely doesn’t know how to recognize a valid ID and she’s making it a problem for everyone around her. This experience makes me a lot less likely to come here in the future, and I’ll be telling people about it for a long time

A very cool spot, fun seating and good vibes. However, the music felt like a bank robbery/heist montage soundtrack. Very fast and energizing while the space suggested a more chill vibe from just the looks. Will try again in hopes for a more laid back musical vibe that matches the overall atmosphere.

I went on a Friday night, and I loved it! Everything was on point—the lighting, the seating, the music, and my drink was great! I had the Golden Grove, and it was legit. Totally recommend this spot!

Classic place with great vibes. It's a popular spot with locals, so it can get a bit crowded on a Friday or Saturday night, but it's not bad. The drinks are very reasonably priced, and mixed drinks are always done well.The outside back patio can be unpleasant if you don't like to smoke cigarettes.

Cool managers and owners for decades.OCSC is a local spot.The staff is all business, yet all sweet & sharp. Most everyone is polite, bright & interesting because it's laid back and Chapel Hill/Carrboro. - Despite not having an Absolute Mandarin endorsement - May I have one, on the rocks, please.
It's an institution! My go to spot in Carrboro. Staff is fantastic, they've got a decent selection of NA options. Atmosphere is always great

Retro! It went from barely having a pulse to swamped quickly and the bartender seemed to do a good job of managing expectations. He communicated...acknowledged folks...imagine that! And then informed them that he had 10 or so orders ahead of them. It sounded harsh but better to know that stand there wondering!Cool restroom decor and lounge area.
