One of our favorites. Been many times. Food always interesting and excellent. But having made a reservation over a week ago and noting my son's birthday, we got put in the back room next to an exit door and multiple outlets with cords and had staff moving chairs over their heads to the side of us. The main part of the restaurant wasn't full so we were very disappointed. Did tell the manager as we left and next time will ask to move at the start as we didn't realize how bad it was or how empty the real restaurant room would remain for the entirety of our meal. Just seems like they should seat people in their best table as they come in. The rear room is a massive downgrade. Feel like I should have only paid half as much for the half as good experience. Sad.

Horrible service but great food. Waiter was overwhelmed and would have been better with take out. Lots of other places to go that have great food and great service.

We had an excellent dinner. This time we ordered the risotto and the eggplant, everything was delicious. The drinks were a bit disappointing, as I ordered one I had tried a while ago and the flavor was different. For dessert, the chocolate pudding was amazing! The service could use some improvement. When we arrived, there was no one at the entrance to greet us, and we had to go up to the bar ourselves.

Very pleasant staff and cuisine. Sadly, I think we were the victims of our own eagerness. We arrived early for a 6:30 reservation. We said we could wait for a table until the designated time. Instead, we were put into a corner immediately adjacent to the hostess stand. It was a linen clothed folding table like you might find in the church community room and steel chairs without cushions. I felt like we had been relegated to the "kids table" for bad behavior. Not comfortable. We happily spent two hundred dollars on dinner. We should not be penalized with an inferior seating experience.

Good variety in food offerings and a decent wine list. Supports leisurely dining . Service staff attentive with good sense of humor. Loved it!

Dinner at Tandem is always delicious! The salmon is fabulous! The shrimp and grits are fabulous! This is a Friday night dinner entree. The beef short rib is fabulous! You will love Tandem! Start with the cheese board. Cheers!

Great service- all people so nice, just attentive enough. Delicious food. Music a bit too loud when we arrived, but was lower by the time we ate. Love Tandem!

One issue: too much noise. Live music a nice idea, but combined with poor acoustics, the noise level (high) was a constant distraction.

Our overall experience was fantastic. However, there was a mixup with our ticket and so we ended up waiting an extremely long time to receive our food. The food was delicious though, so it was worth the wait! I would absolutely recommend this place and will be back.

My wife and I recently went to Tandem on a Saturday night. We really enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant. It was simple (in a good way) and comfortable. I did think that the 2-person tables were a little too close together, but thanks to this, we got to chat with the neighboring table and they were a very nice couple married 52yrs. We started with cocktails. I got the After the Gold Rush and my wife got the Darling Clementine. We didn't enjoy either one. The bourbon was lost in the gold rush and the clementine wasn't much better. Our table neighbor ordered straight bourbon (buffalo trace) and I've never seen a glass with so much ice in it. The bourbon was transparent in the glass... Appetizers were the oysters and deviled eggs. We enjoyed the oysters, but the deviled eggs were a miss. They simply did not taste fresh. Reminded me of deviled eggs that had been in the fridge for 2 days. Mains were the 72-hr braised beef rib and lamb shoulder. Both were also a miss. The 72-hr braised beef rib tasted more like crock-pot pot roast. And for 72-hr, it should have been much more tender and the fat rendered better. My wifes lamb shoulder was also dry. The presentation of the food was interesting. My rib came in a small le creuset dutch oven. Problem is, the oven isn't hot enough to keep the food warm (you would probably burn yourself), so your food in the oven got cold quick. None of our food came piping hot, it was more hot enough... Also, the potato puree tasted a lot more like instant mash potatoes. There is definitely more seasoning required there... Last was desert. I ordered the chocolate pudding cake and my wife got the mascarpone cheesecake. I enjoyed the pudding cake with the ice cream and meringue. Once I ran out of those, it was a little rich for me, but I did enjoy it. My wife loved the cheesecake. This experience came to nearly $200. We liked the vibe, and the staff was great. However the food just missed the mark...

Not my first time at Tandem. Food, service, ambience all consistently excellent. Sat outside, so there was a bit of noise from street construction but still able to converse comfortably. Everything at lunch was very reasonably priced; a wonderful value for superb food! This will definitely not be my last visit to Tandem! Thank you!!

Pretty good but it's been better in the past. Salad had a lot of wilted lettuce. Forgot to put the pork belly in our appetizer Old Fashioned served with a bunch of crushed ice !?! Need to focus on attention to detail, especially at these prices.

The service was impeccable. Waiter responsive but didn't need to hover. Please send this waiter to other restaurants to train their staff.

My food (eggs) was cold. I had to ask the server to bring the bread that was part of my order. My husband's grilled cheese had very little cheese in relation to the enormous slices of bread and the cheese was so bland that he couldn't even taste the cheese . He took off one slice and ate the rest with a knife n fork. Very disappointing experience for the cost of the brunch. We will not return any time soon.

The food was exceptional, as always. But the service was a little lacking; I think our server had too many tables.
