Loved my experience here. From the moment I had a drink at the bar I felt very very welcomed. My bartender BEN poured me a glass of water and made me a delicious cocktail. As my date arrived, we were seated at a table near the window, and luckily Ben also was my server. His appetizer recommendation, the lambs skewer, was outstanding. For my main course I ordered the salmon and it was amazing with some middle eastern flavors. I'd definitely come back !

We sat outside on a lovely day for lunch. It was a sweet setting and the food was delicious. The service was a bit slow to come to the table, and we felt rushed by the server. Still worth the meal and visit.

Tandem for us is one of those go to restaurants we feel pretty certain where we're going to have a good meal. And they did not disappoint. I had a trout special and my husband had the salmon. Delicious. Our server was very nice. However, and I'm hesitant to mention this, is that he seemed rushed. I think they were short staffed and through no fault of his own, was working hard to keep up the pace. Sadly, this is becoming more apparent to us over time when dining out. I don't know what the answer is given that I have no personal experience in the hospitality field but it is unfortunate.

Had a great meal at Tandem! My friend and I treated ourselves to a nice dinner here on a Sunday night. I made a reservation for 6:30pm for 2, but I don't think it was needed since the restaurant had little people when we got there. The interior inside is very industrial, with lots of wooden features (like the floor, chairs, tabletops) and string lights hanging from the ceiling. The walls were brick, and it had great big industrial windows which provided great natural lighting. The service was fine, but nothing over the top. I ordered the 72 hour short rib, and my friend got the salmon. It was delicious. It came in a Le Creuset pot with mashed potatoes and assorted veggies on the side. Stunning presentation, and might I say, those pots are expensive, and they have multiple of them. But I guess it was worth the investment because it looked really nice. The beef was super juicy and tender. High quality melt-in-your-mouth beef. And they don't shy away from the portion. It looked like a fat square block. But it was genuinely glistening in the light. The mashed potatoes were just alright for me. They had a strong flavor that I can't pinpoint - maybe too much cheese? They also put mint on the mashed potatoes and beef, which was quite a surprise, but I don't think I prefer it. The veggies were a nice touch with the beef. Overall, great experience and amazing food. I definitely would come back for another nice dinner!

Once we were finally seated, we decided to order some coffee. Unfortunately, the first pot was served cold, so we requested a fresh one. To our dismay, the waitress accidentally spilled the hot coffee on our table and simply walked away, leaving us to deal with the mess. The Eggs Benedict were mediocre. The food quality and service have gone down significantly from our previous visit last year.

Having been one of our favorite restaurants for years, we were a bit disappointed. The menu has become constant to the point of boring. There's an attempt to freshen the choices, but unfortunately to the point of being pretentious... adding ‘extra' components and flavors to an otherwise quality core entree.. e.g. the trout and chicken courses loaded with add-ons that simply distracted from the featured dish. Too much salt!

I was visiting friends in Chapel Hill and they took me to their favorite restaurant, Tandem. Every dish was spot on! Great food. Don't miss this place.

This place was AWESOME!!! The food was impeccable, the service incredible, and the place was so conducive to our gathering! We eye so relaxed, non-hurried, etc. The bathrooms were clean, etc. The staff was quite responsive when we reported needing toilet paper in one stall in ladies’ room.Parking: Since Tandem is in a shopping area, it’s adjacent to a grocery store, therefore lots of parking.

Food at Tandem is constantly excellent which is the reason we keep returning. Noise level a bit high but it is the same everywhere these days and soon we will be able to eat outside. Highly recommend!

As always, Tandem was wonderful. This time, I went for brunch. Our waiter, Skylar, was super nice and attentive, food (avocado toast and shrimp & grits) was great, and my friend who I brought with me was very impressed with the ambience and decor. Look forward to coming back again soon.

We tried their Easter special Moroccon Lamb shoulder. The meat was tender and juicy, and all the sides that came with it complemented it all really well. The chocolate fondant cake for dessert is a must-have and not to be missed. The service was wonderful, and the ambiance was great.

Revisited in March 2024 and still overpriced. One piece of French Toast is $18 now. I passed and had eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. $18. And I had cream for coffee spilled onto our table, staining my pants. Waitress offered nothing to rectify. Never again.

Food is always fantastic. Eggs and bacon perfectly cooked and I loved the side salad. I had ordered my dish without Potato and bread but with salad instead. Potato and bread came anyway. I also asked for a to-go container so I could take the remainder of my brunch home. It never came out and was tossed out. I will be back on a less busy day...not Easter Sunday.
