A solid restaurant for fresh pasta dishes. I appreciate that the menu is very succinct, but I do wish there were more interesting options. Half of the plates/appetizer section is simple breads, olives, cured meat, etc. I tried the spicy sausage casarecce and the spaghetti. The pasta in both was cooked very well, with nice flavors, however I again wished for something more inventive.
They also have a surprisingly good amount of dessert options.

One of the best spots in the area. The menu reflects seasonal updates and creative takes on classic dishes. Wonderful wine list too!

We are so glad we got a gift certificate to pay for this mediocre place. Don’t get all the good reviews
It was my bday and our server wasn’t friendly and said he couldn’t make me a mocktail, I don’t drink but still wanted to celebrate and if you have sprite as they do, you can make a cocktail.
The food… so mediocre !!! My husband is a cook and I’ve had real and delicious pasta meals.
It was a bad bday celebration and the service was wonky. Everyone seemed a bit disorganized. Would NOT spend a dime at this place.

My first visit to Tesoro was long overdue. This is not your traditional mom and pop spaghetti and meatballs Italian restaurant (the types I grew up with in Western NY). The pasta dishes are a mix of Italian and Croatian influenced dishes. Having recently dined at a similar albeit much bigger and higher end italian-croation restaurant in Raleigh (Brodeto) I felt Tesoro was close in terms of quality but just not at the same level of quality dining experience (4 stars versus 5 stars). Here's what was really good: The lumache and the tomato - pepper sauce was very very good. I ordered the lump crab meat add-on and could barely tell that it was included (not what I was expecting for an extra $4). The focaccia bread was very good - it had a nice crisp that included some spiciness and peppery flavor. One of the better breads I've been served in a while actually. We also tried the gnocchi. My wife thought it to be really good. I thought it was just okay. While only a 4 star rating I am eager to dine here again so I can try another pasta dish.

Noodles were mediocre store-bought quality. Sauces were quite good, but let down by mediocre quality pasta. For the price I expected better.
You can get better quality pasta in nearby grocery stores. I wonder if they would let me bring my own noodles to pair with the excellent sauces?

The food and service were great! For appetizers, I got the Arancini and they accommodated the fact that I do not eat meat. For entrees, I got the spaghetti with Zucchini and it was extremely delicious. Highly recommend. Food is worth the price!

The food is so good and the staff are incredibly friendly. Just wish that the space was a little less loud.

A mixed experience. The vichyssoise was a delight and possibly set our expectations too high. The two pasta dishes that followed were meh - the linguine with anchovies had very little flavor and too much breadcrumbs (where’s the anchovy?); and the gnudi were a doughy thick mess. Gnudi is supposed to have a pillowy tender form - these were thick, flavorless doughballs. The meal ended with a delicious ice cream and strawberries dessert. I would gently suggest that execution of the main course dishes be revisited to up the game a little. You can see there is talent here, but there’s an inconsistent delivery. They do offer a well curated wine list as well. So it was a mixed bag really.

The food was lovely and so well made! The focaccia was amazing, so fluffy and full of delicious olive oil. We will definitely be back!
Such a warm and inviting restaurant! After hearing great things for years, we finally visited—and it did not disappoint. The pasta was flavorful, the salad fresh and perfectly dressed, and the service was excellent. We’ll definitely be back soon!
