I used to love Weaver Street Market back in the 90's and early 2000's. But then they stopped letting musicians play who were just sitting there practicing or having fun. They changed the entire left side of the store, could not find what I wanted anymore. The entire staff has become entirely delusional college kids who "Want to make a difference" but dont know their knee caps from their elbows. They have seriously changed and today, is not what today should...
A little pricey (they focus on local and fair-trade products), but integral to the downtown Carrboro community. They have fresh baked bread, a hot bar, a salad bar, and grab and go. Lots of outdoor seating with live music and community events.
Local, fresh, organic food. Great grab-n-go options of hot bar, brunch, salad bar, sushi, sandwiches and even dinners to heat up at home.
It's a real community. Music, events and hanging out on the front lawn and tables.
Just beware that if you park in Carr Mill Mall, even if you shop there, you should NOT walk to other businesses as you may be ticketed or towed.
