Wonderful to experience a restaurant with such high quality soup and sandwiches. The decor is simple and clean, with lovely touches on the walls. I had the tomato bisque and I will come back just for that, it was so good. The chicken salad with grapes and water chestnuts on toasted wheat was hearty and flavorful. Our server was efficient and very nice. Shame on me for not getting her name. This sure shines as a "mom and pop" establishment. Two bitty fudgy brownie bites were complimentary and worth breaking my healthy eating plan for!
Unfriendly hostess when I visited October 27, 2023. Having traveled the area I was visiting after hours on the road I first inquired about restroom facilities before considering my otder, The hostess was gruff and seemed to resent my inquiry about the restroom. She was less than personable and based on her seeming hostility I chose not to consider ANYTHNG. She may have been having a bad day but her rudeness persuaded me not to consider the soup company. She had an attitude!

A hidden gem for sure!! We will be back. Theresa was terrific! The soup and sandwich was delish! We split the special meatball sub and had New England Clam Chowder and Chicken Poblano. Very hardy soups!! I'm full!!! And when dining in there's complementary little dessert!!

My friend and I went to The Soup Company Wed. Jan. 18 to enjoy a nice lunch and each other's company. The food was good and we were finishing up our beverage when the owner's wife came over, picked up our plates and said she needed us to vacate our table because someone else needed it. When I went to pay for our meal, I told her I didn't appreciate her actions and her reply was: "it's not a meeting place ". A party of 4 who were there when we came in and were still there because they had waited on other friends to join them were sitting nearby. When I asked about their time there, she said it was because they had not been served - my reply - "it's not a ;meeting place". I have enjoyed meeting friends here several times and have recommended it to others - I do not and will not recommend it any more. I just received posting from the soup company (thurs.). I am sorry they did not see fit to simply apologize for the incident. My lunch friend would be glad to confirm all of the events that happened that day. I have previously stated that I have dealt with the owner and enjoyed the food . We did cater a wedding shower with him and he was pleasant and did all we agreed on . It was a successful shower. It was not him that we dealt with on Wednesday.

Didn't even stay to eat. The most unfriendly service you could imagine. Paid for our drinks that we didn't drink and left.
