“My favorite BBQ place ?. The pulled pork is juicy and a little spicy ?. Pairs very well with the simply prepared cole slaw. The french fries are better than most. But the thing I like best is the home made Brunswick stew ??. If you're making the trip to get some, call ahead first because it runs out often. “This place is not an expensive nice restaurant but it is a friendly nice restaurant. It's restricted and dining area are kept clean and stocked. All the staff and all the customers (for the most part) are ask friendly and helpful. This place has been here since my dad was a kid, although then it was in the other side of the road, and when i was a kid it wasn't an eat in place just a building with one window to walk up to and order and another window to pick up from. Now its upgraded and you can eat inside or outside. The prices are amazingly low especially costs to everywhere else. My household has 9 people and we can all order burgers/hotdogs , fries and a drink for under $45. And the food had tested the same as far back as i can remember. And it's pretty good. Its a small hometown kind of place to not only eat but to make memories, which i made with my grandpa and father and now with my own kids. Its nice to see and smell and go to somewhere familiar in a world that's constantly changing and new. To me, chuck wagon and Carthage go together and i don't think you can really think of Carthage as not having achuck wagon its been a part of the town so long it's definitely going to be sad if it ever goes anywhereParking: There is plenty of parking all over the place on all sides but sometimes it's so busy it's hard to find a spot, just because so many people eat here at lunch.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly because of the chicken tenders fries and shakes, you can eat outside and no one cares too much about if tour kids get kind of loud. They have quarter machines with gum and little toys at yhe frint where you order.”

“I love this place. Saturday afternoon and the joint is jumping. I was greeted warmly and professionally in the lobby by Tina. I am not sure what Tina's precise role is at the place. She took charge of helping me place a to go order quickly. I sat down, checked my phone, and my ordered was was delivered by a smiling young lady with glasses.The price of the order was very reasonable considering I had hot, fresh, delicious food...no gripes on price.The portions were good sizes. I did not want a feast , and I was full.To the owners of this restaurant...You have a wonderful product. You have amazing staff...that will bring me back in the near future.Tim Curran”

“God, when I was doing those ultra hard stretches yesterday,(with my brother) I was craving Chinese. But… after going the next day, all I can say is it made me sleepy and I felt like I was floating. It was fine, yknow, not the best but it was ok. The side effects were crazy, I was walking on air, but not in a good way, mad uncomfortable. Food was good”

“Food was hot but I felt like the management there was very unprofessional. While we were checking out the manager was talking rudely to the employees and when we got our food it wasn’t the food we ordered and I believe it’s because the cashier was distracted by the rude manager.”

“Wonderful to experience a restaurant with such high quality soup and sandwiches. The decor is simple and clean, with lovely touches on the walls. I had the tomato bisque and I will come back just for that, it was so good. The chicken salad with grapes and water chestnuts on toasted wheat was hearty and flavorful. Our server was efficient and very nice. Shame on me for not getting her name. This sure shines as a "mom and pop" establishment. Two bitty fudgy brownie bites were complimentary and worth breaking my healthy eating plan for!”

“Quaint Mexican restaurant in Carthage. Prices are very fair. Portions are normal so some may consider them smaller than other Mexican restaurants but we didn't leave "stuffed to the brim" which isn't a bad thing. Service was great!”
