“Friendly staff and straight forward home styled food...what you expect and want from a breakfast/lunch diner. New owners and refreshed paint/upholstery effective Jan 2024...”
“Came to the area for an appointment and my son wanted to stop for tacos. The only disappointment I have is its so far from my house. Seriously. The food was great. The ladies were so polite. The portions were on point. My son had enough food to have lunch and dinner.Thank you for a great experience and lunch!!”
“My food was very good and the waiter was great. However, he did not tell the woman who was with me that there was a three dollar upcharge for hrilled chicken instead of shredded chicken. Make sure that you ask when you order because they don't tell you. Could be pricey.”
“Fast, unique, flavored foods. The hibachi has a taste that they only provide. My go-to for over 20 years... I guess right since they opened. I swear by their simple the hot ham and cheese sandwich and steak and chicken hibachi bowl. You have to dip the sandwich in the homemade white sauce for every bite. It's family made, owned, and run... what can be more satisfying than fresh, heartwarming soulfood?”
“Service Amazing, thank you so much Party of 8 we ordered appetizers, salads, pasta's, and pizza well everything was Absolutely Fantastic, also ordered the risotto with Shrimp so so good . Best Italian Restaurant If you want great Service Amazing Food. Family I brought from Florida Loved the Dishes , we Rate them a TEN.”
“Always enjoy having a beverage at the Bar and the food is always delicious with a great variety. Looking forward to the upcoming menu which changes seasonally and the Owners have always been friendly its small but don't let that fool you its great!!!”
“I LOVE the food here. Similar to Mexican food but definitely has its own flavor. The food is so so fresh, there is a fresh salsa bar. I highly recommend the chips and guacamole. It so fresh, and not spicy. My favorite are the Pinchones de Pollo, chicken kabobs, with double rice. They also sell Latin snacks and treats.”
“Had lunch there today. Omelette with potatoes and delicious fresh baked bread. Probably the best omelette I’ve ever had. My friend ordered the chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries. It so so generous with the chicken salad AND the fries that couldn’t finish. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable. Have already planned a trip back. Yes u will love this place!”
“In the Pinehurst area for a golf weekend and Google searched breakfast places and The Village Cafe came up, good ratings so four of us went to grab a late breakfast. Very nice place, clean, and nice people working there. I got the Traditional breakfast plate, two eggs, hash browns, toast and the meat choice was the Liver Pudding. Never had it, the nice waitress said it was a "rectangular mush". I was not sold until she said some people think it’s like "Scrapple". Sold! I like Scrapple when I can find it, it was basically the same thing, the presentation of it was not the greatest on the plate. Otherwise it was good! Would go here again for sure.Parking: Gravel lot on side”
“If you enjoy fine dining Italian, Villagio offers an experience you will enjoy. Menu offers plenty of choice. Last night our table had Lasagna, Spaghetti Bolognese and Chicken Fra Diablo. They were excellent and stars of the show.”
“Came here for a lunch date with my grandson. First, the decor is perfect. The staff was extremely helpful as this was our first visit. We shared a pizza and it was perfect.”
“Pretty, pretty, pretty good coffee. I am not a coffee aficionado, but Cactus knows how to roast some tasty beans. I buy whole beans and take them home and grind them in a burr. Aeropress it on the weekends & auto drip Monday-Friday. Can't beat it!They have speciality coffee drinks, just like the corporate giant coffee chain. So do yourself a favor and try them out and support local!”
“First time dining here and the service and food were fantastic. Lovely atmosphere in a relatively small space. Easy to hear conversation at your table and not from other tables. Appreciated the Saturday evening music. Perhaps make the entrance more appealing; I know it's a challenge in an outdoor mall setting. I went because of the reviews and personal recommendations.”
“If you're into farm-to-fork with fresh local produce and seasonal culinary cuisine---this is the best place to dine by reservation in the Central Carolinas.”
“Ben's ice cream is great. For $5 apiece, we got gigantic ice cream scoops (peach, of course!) On a waffle cone. The cones are homemade and delicious, as is the ice cream (again, highly recommend getting peach while they're in season). It was almost too much ice cream for one person, darn near halfway to a meal.”
“I met my sisters-in-law here for breakfast. This was my first visit and I can truly say, I loved it! The food was great, reasonably priced, and served by a very friendly waitress.”
“This is a wonderful establishment and my go-to for coffee! Nicola and her staff are very friendly and have always provided me the best of service. Their coffee is better than what you have sitting in your office, I encourage you to visit and I assure you won’t regret the experience. A coffee, a cinnamon roll, or an insulated high octane cup. They sold me since the first week they opened and I’ll continue getting my coffee from them.”
“Always good food; casual but courteous service- always prompt. Prices are good and you can get the spice level you want. They listen to allergy needs too.Dietary restrictions: Shellfish allergy”
“Absolutely love this little place and coldest beer around! Can bring in food from nearby restaurants and on occasions the bar has free food for customers. The owners go above and beyond to assure every customer is happy!”
“Always a pleasure to go to the local ice cream shop and speak to the owners. They're always so friendly and funny. Love the new hurricanes on rotation as those are always my go-to's.”
“Had the Hamburger Steak smothered with grilled onions, and mushrooms over mashed potatoes and green beans! It was amazing… The Philly Cheese Steak with Fries was huge. Full with meat… That fact the meat kept falling out made it more tempting…”
“Love this place. The coffee is excellent as well as the fresh baked scones. My only negative is sometimes I get here too late for the blueberry or Lemon Cranberry ?”
“Found this gem when trying to figure out what to eat after Christmas shopping. At first you would think you were going the wrong way because it's kinda in a neighborhood. But when you get there it's a treat. Food was delicious and staff were super friendly! Best pizza I'd had in a long time. Glad we took a chance on a new spot. Well worth it.”
“Probably the best Sushi is have ever eaten. The amazing staff found out it was my birthday, they then brought out a dessert and sang. Very kind . The portions are huge .The restaurant was clean .Our new favorite place !!!”
“The post office converted to a used bookstore makes an engaging atmosphere. The coffee and pastries are better fare than expected to or the area, and the service is friendly and charming.”
“Restaurant is very clean and nice. Nothing fancy, but enjoyable. A large selection and it was all good. Service was excellent. We ate there, but there was a lot of takeout orders. We will order again.”
“Oh my lanta! I don’t even know where to start. Tried out this local restaurant while visiting family for the holidays. Destiny (hostess and server) was attentive and kind. The food was phenomenal. It’s hard to find good fried seafood, and Danny really nails it! Our table had the salmon bites appetizer, fried shrimp, flounder, and oysters, grilled salmon, shrimp, and oysters, AND crab cakes. All of these exceeded expectations. We also had several side dishes: collards, cole slaw, baked beans, sweet potato fries, potato casserole, and the roasted potatoes. Again, all of these were phenomenal. If you’re looking for good food and to support local, you have to go to House of Fish!!”
“What a nice place and wonderful food/service. Our large party sat outside in the covered patio with plenty of heaters and great service. Our server Courtney was spot on with the entire group from start to finish. Be sure to ask for her! With the "steps of service" declining in so many places, it was great to have Courtney take care of every detail. The menu is diverse with protein options, starter salads were large, and our GF person was ecstatic of the number of GF option. Their garden was just off the patios, so I would think during the growing season, at least some their weekly specials would be from the garden. The inside was full and had a vibrant energy. The sound inside was low which is a nice change after restaurants feeling the need to be loud to seem entertaining. I think the layout/design including high ceilings help to reduce the volume. If I ever get back in the warmer weather, I would be sure to enjoy their large patio.”
“Nothing better than a golf environment like this to enjoy food on the patio. Burger was undercooked and service was okay overall, but restaurant was busy and the food offering was good! Recommend lunch and shopping in the golf shop!”
“Glad I went here. Walked in for lunch. Grabbed a chicken parm sub and a slice of pepperoni. Might be my favorite pizza place in the area. The fresh bread on the sub really sets the sandwich off. The pizza was excellent and didn't last long once I drove away. Light and crispy crust, flavorful sauce and the perfect amount of cheese on the pizza slice. I'll be back for sure. Service was excellent. Felt like a regular my first time in and I can't wait to get back and try the rest of the menu!”
