I should have trusted my instincts that if you can’t smell smoke outside a bbq restaurant it’s not fresh. Had the brisket sandwich. Absolutely no flavor - not a hint of bbq. Waitress raves about how good the slaw is that comes on said sandwich. As you can see in pic, I wouldn’t know how good it is cause I got about a teaspoon of that awesome slaw. Pretty sure I got yesterday’s Mac n cheese as a side as it was served cold and it was mushy. Save your $$ & skip this place.

Take out order, food was great. Believe it or not, but good smoked barbecue is hard to find. Don't go to the franchise place of who's name will not be mentioned. Stay local, keep our traditions alive in NC. Thanks for lunch Mike!

Our first visit for lunch and we had a wonderful meal. The rub on the chicken wings was so delicious. I would recommend the brisket sandwich with fries. Our server was very sweet! We will be back!

We have ordered from Big Mike’s many many times and have always been extremely pleased. We drive almost an hour to pick up catering orders and happily do so however, we had a very poor experience today with our order. We ordered a total of 5 quarts and 3 pounds of meat. My husband returned home with quarts that were only very partially filled. I called to inquire and was met with very rude remarks as well as mimicking in the background due to them “not knowing how to place their phones on hold”. I was told they would leave a message for the manager but was again met with very rude remarks when I asked when I could expect to hear back. All this to say, we spent 2 hours in the car round trip, a decent amount of money and received horrible customer service. We sadly will not be returning.

Service was excellent, friendly and inviting. Ribs were fire - not just the rub but quality of the pig, meaty and juicy, rendered nicely and not fatty. Bark on the brisket was insanely good. Very tasty sauce on the burnt ends, meat was kinda dry but they lived up to that traditional burnt flavor. Portions were huge, I got more than I bargained for - which was okay because... leftovers for breakfast! Outstanding meal, just can't go wrong eating here.
Ok, let me first start off saying the staff was nice. It was our first time here, I had the pulled chicken, mac n cheese and fries. My husband had the ribs, mac n cheese and fries and the kids had mac n cheese and pulled chicken.
The pulled chicken wasn't that good, me and the kids had to put sauce on it to make it easier to eat. The fries had too much salt and the macaroni and cheese tastes like box mac n cheese. The best mac n cheese is baked like someone's grandma made it ? My husband said his ribs had too much fat on it. I don't eat ribs so can't say much about them.
I don't typically leave reviews like this but I have feedback! Label the sauces on the table so people know what they're pouring on their food. change them out often, one of the sauces looked like water. Tell people about the alabama sauce it was good! bake the macaroni and cheese with love! focus more on the meats and making them taste a little better and less salt on the fries!
I did give stars because the staff was friendly and that is a great start ?

They no longer have the half smoked chicken or corn bread which was my favorites. When you do a search for Brew and Que in google it still comes up with same location, Wish I could of known that, instead they serve you chopped up chicken with too much darn bbq sauce on it and on top of that they give you a side of more bbq sauce to take ?. Wish they can get the old menu back bummer. Other than that great staff, friendly atmosphere for a drink or two.

I stopped by here today for lunch, Best idea I had all day!!! BBQ was great , im from down east so I know good BBQ , great service ! I will be bringing my family back
