I never went to Pizzeria Veritas under its previous ownership. I have been there several times recently (under the new management) for pick-up and I think it is the closest thing to genuine NY style pizza that I have experienced in NC. I take my pizza seriously and I think this place is great!
So, born in Manhattan lived in NYC surrounding area 50 years. I've been SEARCHING 13 years in NC for that Bronx, Manhattan, Queens pizza experience. I asked Veritas for a few modifications to get the pizza we craved. They were willing to try and it came out perfect, like authentic NY pizza! We like a crispy crust, generous amounts of cheese and toppings with a few drops of oil dripping from the slice when you fold it in half. Oh the anticipation of a juicy, cheesy pizza!
